  • Before applying make sure you read the application explanation!
  • Do not link applications. Post them in comments!
  • Please fill out every portion, except possibly the orientation section if it does not apply to you and the other section since it is not necessary unless you need it.
  • ALL CHARACTERS 18+ MUST FILL OUT THE ORIENTATION SECTION THIS DOES NOT MEAN ONE WORD. IT MEANS AS IT STATES IN THE APPLICATION EXPLANATION.
  • Only one sample must be linked. Please do not link two samples.

    Species: Spitz Human
    Gender: Male
Orientation: Probably heterosexual, but this is in a sports series: WHO KNOWS. Otherwise stated, he's probably "okay" with being with either gender, since he's almost always with Yuki whenever you see him... (Mangaka recommends Jun to the ladies though, if that says anything.)

    History:
    Character Wiki page

    Wikipedia page

Jun was born somewhere in the Kanagawa Prefecture, into a family with two older sisters.

Like with others on the Seido High School baseball team, Jun has been playing baseball even before enrolling into Seido High School. It was never mentioned, but Jun has possibly been playing pitcher while in Ayakami Senior League; it was his original desired position during his first year at Seido.

However, he was one of the many first years during that year who were considered "hopeless." While he had a strong shoulder, Jun had absolutely no control over his pitch. He wasn't selected for the first string that year, and could only watch from the sidelines as the team fell early in the summer tournament. When the new team was formed soon after that, he was selected to play in the outfield. It hurt Jun, at least his pride; he was prepared that things wouldn't be so easily achieved in a large team such as Seido, but to be put into a different position than what he wanted was out of his expectations.

To survive among the team of strong players, he knew he had to grab onto any chance he gets. He needed to keep moving forward, to practice as much as he could to get better. It seemed like fellow first years were on a similar thought, Yuki especially, who had already taken the initiative to practice after-hours. They trained the basics every evening after dark, and that determination and effort grew them into the third years Eijun and the other younger ones knew of.

On their third and final year in Seido High School baseball, their summer vacation came sooner than they hoped; as much as they have shown potential, they were one match away from getting to the finals. They lost to Inashiro High School in the semi-finals, with the final point being made with Jun and Shirasu failing to save the ball.

That was it. The final official match aiming for the Koshien. As a third year, Jun is now retiring from the team with the other third years...

    Abilities:
    - Jun has a strong shoulder, letting him throw powerful fastballs from the outfield all the way up to the catcher. And did I mention Very Powerful? It flies across the field like a laser! His control on his throws aren't so well-tuned though; because of that, he couldn't make it to being the pitcher like he originally wanted.
    - He also has a fairly high batting average. Though not a strong and stable hitter like Yuki nor fast on his feet like Kuramochi, Jun is an all-around hitter, which is important for the batting line-up he is part of, to connect the play to the clean-upper.

    Other:
    - Likes shoujo manga. (and is int a tsun relationship with it)
    - Yelling. So much yelling.
    - Not a Spitz!!!
    - Everyone likes Eijun!!1!1!

    SAMPLES;
    First Person:

Tch, having a network account? What a pain. [He gives a sigh, rubbing his neck. He sure looks frustrated.] S'pose I'll just use it now that I have one, though.

Name's Jun Isashiki, one of the third years from Seido High School baseball team. Not that the name matters here, apparently. If you met that scheming Miyuki, loudmouthed idiot Sawamura, and the quiet Furuya, then they're on team I was on back home. Dunno how much Miyuki's been handling the two here, but now that I'm here too...

[He glares at the screen; the glare is at the three of them, actually.]

YOU THREE BETTER NOT HAVE BEEN SLACKING OFF WITH YOUR PRACTICING!!

[Did he care if the three were possibly from a different timeline? Not really. If there weren't even enough people to make a team? Nope. If they were slacking off on their training, he was going to make it his deal to whoop them back into shape. That's all that mattered for Jun.]

Tell ya what. Sawamura, Furuya, you two throw some pitches for me. You two better give me your best pitches, if I see any lousy ones I'm gonna hit it out the field!!

[He's not Tetsu, so he probably won't be able to do that... But whatever! It's the thought that counts, right??]

    Third Person:
Jun wasn't sure what to feel as he stared at the shelves at a bookstore he randomly strolled in. What was he expecting anyways? It was a bookstore, after all--why wouldn't they? But to actually see it in such a strange world was slightly off-putting. Even if it hasn't been that long since he had ended up in Holly Heights, Jun knew well enough that this world wasn't related to Japan...at least not completely.

"Holy shit, they carry that monthly magazine--!?" He had to stop himself from blurting out even louder, and took a quick look around his surroundings before taking the book in question from the shelf, looking at the front cover, flipping it to the back cover, and opening it to look within the pages.

It really was a genuine monthly magazine of a shoujo manga...!

He could probably just stand and read. That was the easiest to do. But he's always had at least one copy at home in his homeworld, and to find one existing in this world as well made it hard for him to part ways like that. But to have to deal with the cashier with possibly giving strange looks at him... There was some tolerance to go through the trouble.

"...RRRGH!! Dammit!!" With a frustrated yell, Jun stomped over to the cashier, slamming the book onto the counter angrily, glaring at the poor cashier.

"I'll get this, how much is it!?"

Jun secretly hoped the cashier was too distracted by his yelling to see his tiny embarrassed blush creeping on his face as he made his purchase.

    OTHER;
Housing Request?: 1418 as a first choice, please! If not then any house with a baseball cast would be okay!
Did you read the rules and FAQ?: Yes!

Romance is literally never touched upon in his canon and he himself would never allow himself the luxury of dating or having romantic feelings because of the fight. History: This is the manga that I am pulling his canon point and basic everything from This is the original 1971 tv series he is from and this is his character wiki page on Kamen Rider Wikia. Spirits is basically a post-canon manga that takes place after his show so I'll be playing like both the show and manga are canon for him.

Appearance: A good reference both his human and cyborg form

    Personality:

[ooc: There will be a number of mentions of a "Shocker" throughout this app. Shocker refers to the global terrorism organization that is the constant antagonist in Hayato's canon.]

It's impossible to get a read on Hayato based off a first impression. Hayato is a guy who could come off completely nonthreatening with a bright, carefree smile. He can flip like a switch to a hair-trigger rage, and then slam into a righteous speech about fighting for justice all the while remaining entirely genuine. Hayato is a man of many facets who wears his heart on his sleeve

The first thing one might observe, however, is that he is a Photojournalist. Even though he gave up the profession in order to fight Shocker, several of his mannerisms and quirks point clearly to this fact. Hayato is a tenacious, headstrong shithead who will do everything it takes to find out the truth. He's resourceful, clever, and observant with an iron will that refuses to back down, be it exposing the culprit of a murder or to hunt down Shocker's secret plans for world domination. He's a relentless busybody who pays close attention to small details and won't rest until he has what he wants.

Which leads into Hayato's indomitable sense of justice. He isn't a sensationalist reporter. He doesn't care about stirring up drama. He's driven entirely by fighting for what's right, be it with his camera like he did before he was altered, or with his fists as a Kamen Rider. He fights tirelessly to keep evil at bay with no rest or reward and he has zero tolerance for people who would obstruct that justice. He fights passionately, with all of his anger and feeling bleeding into his action. He's a stark contrast to his partner, Hongo, who is often much more calm and collected.

Of course this makes Hayato sound like a pretty serious guy. While he definitely can be, and his motivations are very dire, he actually appears very upbeat most of the time with a sense of humor and a mischievous streak a mile wide. He has a tendency to come off as an optimist and even a little manic sometimes, smiling up until the point he puts his fist through your skull. Don't necessarily take this as fake cheer, either. It's just the way he is. At heart he is a kind soul, and it's evident in the way he cares so much about his friends and how much heart he puts into fighting evil. He is also the one who is more likely to let himself be close to friends, despite the danger, and he derives a lot of his strength from their support. (His partner tends to rely on isolating himself more than Hayato does.)

That said, being a cyborg is something that weighs pretty heavily on him. Though he covers it up well, he's not at all comfortable in his body. He has more often than not referred to himself as a "demon filled with machines" or something similar. Though he's accepted that his life is essentially forfeit for the sake of protecting humanity, he's never quite accepting of himself. He doesn't like people to know he's different. He has a set of scars that will often appear on his face and body when his emotions get the better of him, and he's quick to try and cover before letting someone see it.

All and all we have someone with a strong will, mind, and body. He was a victim of circumstance, having any semblance of a normal life ripped away from him when he was captured by Shocker. Cursed with being rescued before Shocker lobotomized his brain, he now must endure a life time of fighting against said organization as one of the very few beings with the ability to do so. While many, including himself, have compared him to the very monsters he fights, one thing remains true in spite of that: Hayato's body may be mechanical and alien, but his heart remains human.

History: a brief study of junpei hyuuga
Appearance: Despite most of the characters in this series - Hyuuga's appearance is quite normal. He has a normal hair color (as long as we ignore a stint in his first year of high school due to an attempt at recreating himself in his new school) and a normal hair style (short and spiky black hair). He wears glasses, even in game, and is a fairly average size - 5'10" and 150 pounds of muscle and sheer, short-tempered fury. His eyes are also dark, and after realizing that his failed attempt at recreating himself, he has found himself to be quite comfortable in his average appearance.

    Personality:
Hyuuga Junpei (or Junpei Hyuuga, in western order) is a captain.

Which, considering how he had to originally be pressured into the role, is pretty ironic. Before entering high school, Hyuuga has decided to quit basketball. He had felt cheated out of the sport when he practiced, and practiced, and practiced, and never seemed to get anywhere. His team was decent, but not good, and without any special talents or abilities, they never seemed to rise above the rest. He didn't see the point in playing if he didn't see any kind of reward. Putting your heart and soul into a sport without even making it past the first round of a tournament is disheartening for anyone, and Hyuuga decided that when he joined high school, he was going to reinvent himself. This involved quitting basketball, his main hobby and extracurricular activity, and dying his hair blonde - away from his short cropped black hair.

He wanted to reinvent himself, to find a new Hyuuga in high school that didn't have to suffer the pain of disappointment and defeat. His issue was that he put so much of his time into the sport, and while he was the best shooter on the team, and a very talented player, he wasn't enough to lead them to victory. Hyuuga is the type to carry most, if not all, responsibility on his shoulders. In middle school, his team did not have many talented players, so he put both the ace responsibilities and captain responsibilities on his shoulders. When he couldn't perform, the pain he inflicted on himself was so great, he figured the only choice he had left was to quit basketball and do something else.

The only problem? He loved basketball, and with the right amount of pushing (Hyuuga is the type of person who needs to be pushed, who doesn't want to seem eager or easily swayed, even when he may want something in the first place) he was convinced by his old teammate and best friend (Izuki) and an uncrowned king (Teppei) to start up, and join. How he become captain was more everyone else's choice rather than his - but as responsibility and determination come easy to him, so did the captain position.

Most first impressions of Hyuuga are just that - he is responsible, he is studious, he is fairly calm and collected and normal. It was half the reason his 'reinvention' didn't work - at his heart, Hyuuga is not that person to be outwardly loud and attention-seeking. He loves Japanese history and samurai, but really, that's about as weird as his hobbies tend to get. The Hyuuga on the basketball court isn't too different - he is dependable, he is responsible, and he is sure to keep everyone's heads in the right place. He is a leader, through and through, and he is not afraid to wear that role on the court as well. He works well under pressure, and this is most defined by his on-court tendency to work best under pressure - or, in the clutch. Clutch-time Hyuuga is a little different, only in that he is overly confident, to a point of cockiness, and is generally aloof and easy when it comes to playing. He has a tendency, when he is in this clutch-state, to crack his neck, and this is the state when he is at the height of his basketball talents, and while he's not on the level of Midorima (who is almost physically unable to miss a shot), his percentage of shooting is very high, and very dependable.

Other than that, when Hyuuga is around his friends he is a little more laid back - not quick to anger, but not unafraid of it, yelling or hitting friends when they're being stupid, or arguing with Teppei for literally any reason at all. He is easily flustered, too, when it comes to girls or anything in that sphere of romance. He is a boy, a teenage boy, and while he is very mature and responsible and dedicated to his team, he is just doing the best he can. He has a lot of pride for himself, and for his team, and if he thinks anyone is looking down on either of those, he isn't afraid of speaking his mind on the matter.
Abilities: The most defining trait of the Kuroko no Basuke series is the grey area between artistic licence and realistic basketball ability. The series itself is made up of teenage boys (between 14-16 years old) who are able to stop time, make baskets from the other side of the court, are unable to miss baskets, and who shoot lasers out of their hands to pass balls. Hyuuga is, thankfully, one of the more realistic players on the team - his abilities falling more in the 'does very well under pressure' and 'is a fantastic outside shooter'. He helped bring his team to the finals during his first high school tournament, and as the captain, helped lead his team to the championship.

He is merely human, though. He has no super speed or super agility - everything he is able to do has come to him from intense training and personal dedication. He has honed his skills because he has a personal dedication to himself and the help of his teammates. He does have what some could consider an above average willpower, but he would hardly call that an 'ability'.

History: A bit of setting for the canon in general is needed in order to accurately tell Birthday's history. In this world, there are special people who are known as 'Minimum Holders'. They're set apart from the general populace by a genetic anomaly that allows them to utilize what are basically super powers that come on a wide variety of flavors (super strength, light manipulation, there's one guy who literally has the power to boil water. If you can imagine it, it's probably capable of being a Minimum) so long as they meet certain requirements for activating said powers (that can be anything as mundane as taking your glasses off and blowing gum, to something as ridiculously intense as falling into a void of despair and stabbing yourself in the heart, it's really messed up).

Minimum holders can be located and brought to a school known as 'Facultas', which is basically the in-series equivalent of the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters. At Facultas is where these kids learn to activate and harness their powers, and here is when we see Birthday at his youngest.

He is, in short, a dead man walking. An (unidentified) illness plagues him when he's just a kid, and while there isn't a whole lot known about it (or a whole lot of information given to the viewers, thank you Hamatora) what is made clear is that it is 1) very, very deadly, and 2) totally incurable. The thing about kids like Birthday, however, is that they really don't like being told they're going to die and there's nothing that can be done to fix it. It's when he's at his worst that he catches wind of another minimum user at Facultas, who has a very creepy ability to accurately predict if someone's knocking on death's door. Naturally, Birthday seeks him out, gets his death sentence, and reacts in an appropriately childish manner. Birthday bets the other young minimum holder, Ratio, that he won't die, and if he manages to survive an operation he's slated to have (one that is supposed to be able to repair damage done by the illness, as well as revert its effects to some degree), then Ratio will be the one to die. A very sound thing to say, of course.

Surprise of surprises, though, Birthday manages to live through the operation! It's said that he pretty much struggled for his life the entire time, but came out on top regardless! Birthday then proceeds to laugh at Ratio and then tells him that his image of being a grim reaper is dead because the prediction he made didn't come true. They are then best friends for the rest of their lives.

Some point around this time (or maybe after? Timelines, what are those??) Birthday drops out of Facultas, with his health being listed as the reason. After that, not much is known about what he does up until agreeing to use his powers as a Minimum Holder to do P.I. work with Ratio as his partner. They join up with another friend of theirs from the school, a boy named Nice (yes all of them have terrible names and I'm sorry for this), who has started an agency called 'Hamatora' with a few other cast members. From here on out, things stay pretty quiet for the duo, probably with some jobs here and there, though their main income seems to come from the fact that Ratio has an actual real adult job like a responsible person might. Birthday, meanwhile, spends a lot of his time gaining funds through fairly childish schemes (fortune telling, serving as a phone charging station, etc.) and it's pretty stupid.

Things start to get pretty serious toward the end of the first season, wherein Minimum Holders who use their powers for selfish reasons begin to cause an uproar in the city, both Minimum Holders and normal people begin to feel oppressed by the other side, butt heads, cause riots, and generally create a lot of havoc and chaos. It's a huge mess. All of it leads up to a certain event which triggers a sleeping power within one of the members of the group, the effects of which aren't shown until the second season. A few months after the initial riots calm down, we rejoin the cast to find them out doing what they do, fighting bad guys, taking on absurd odd-jobs, only this time... After excessive use of their Minimum abilities, the Holders begin to show a wide range of terrible side-effects. Birthday in specific finds himself with the uncontrollable urge to consume more and more electricity, and later reveals that his health has also deteriorated as a result. It's pretty tragic.

Birthday ends up hospitalized, and very quickly succumbing to the illness once more. The city is once again in a state of rioting and chaos, and in an attempt to 'equalize' the population, all Minimums have been nullified thanks to the same power that was causing them to go haywire in the first place - notably lost is a Minimum that is said to be able to heal anyone of any illness, which a few sources had been hunting down to try and find for Birthday.

After a bit of quasi-divine intervention, however, Minimums are restored to their Holders, enabling the Healing Minimum Holder to be located and brought to the hospitalized Birthday. The bad guy's in jail, and all's well that ends well. It's pretty sappy.

    Appearance: Look at this idiot.
No canon height/weight are given, but a good estimate would likely be 5'8" (174) and 130 lbs (59kg). He's a pretty scrawny looking guy, even compared to this dude (who probably can't even afford to feed himself properly most of the time).
    Personality:
Super flashy, loud, and thrill seeking are probably the most apt ways to describe Birthday. Many times throughout the course of the series, he's seen pulling some ridiculous stunt, making a spectacle of himself, or generally just trying to find any nugget of fun that can be extracted from a situation. Truly the sort of person who lives every day to it's fullest, and the motivations behind those actions are made extremely clear very early on in the story. Being an incredibly ill child has given Birthday an almost urgent sense of living each day to its maximum. While he had been granted a temporary fix that's carried his health through many, many years, Birthday knows that a relapse is always looming overhead and is very likely an inevitability. As such, he wants to have as much fun with the time that he has, enjoying days with his companions and making some sort of impact on the world around him.

This does not mean that he's a person who is resigned to his fate, however. Far from it, in fact, and even as a kid was hell bent on showing just how worthless 'fate' as a concept was. Upon seeking out a young Ratio, who was able to accurately predict imminent death in those around him who had failing health (Birthday included), used the encounter and prediction as an excuse to show the world what-for. After what is noted as a tooth and nail struggle to survive a risky surgery, Birthday obviously comes out on top of the fight for his own life. He then uses his determination to keep the prediction of his own death as wrong as he possibly can, and continues to cling to life with as much tenacity as possible.

Many of his actions come off as rather callous and uncaring, or downright selfish. Examples of this behavior range in intensity from stashing food in his partner's car without letting him know (and completely against his wishes), accepting to take on a high risk job because he'd get to spend time at an onsen and that's too cool to pass up, and even hiding the fact that he was slowly dying in order to spend some more time having fun with his friends. Again, a lot of his motivations simply boil down to wanting to enjoy the time he has, and inspecting some of his other actions show that he isn't really as selfish as he may come off as. He'll drop everything in order to help a friend who is in trouble, and do anything he can in order to bring safety to the people he cares about (such as, say, biting into a bunch of live wires in order to create a huge electricity surge that serves as a signal to where someone's being held captive like wtf Birthday). That said, he's far from selfless as a person, and mostly does seem to enjoy causing mischief for the sake of it with no real reasoning behind it.

At his core, Birthday is a very passionate individual who cares very deeply for those in his life. His will to live is fueled almost entirely by the feeling that his own survival is the only thing that keeps Ratio going, and as such does everything in his power to keep his failing health under wraps so as not to worry his partner. Upon hearing that a different friend of theirs goes missing, pretty much everything is dropped without a second thought in order to find her. The well being of those around him is a very important thing for Birthday, even if it isn't very clear when seeing his normal behavior.

    Characters Name: Ratio
    Age: 23
    Canon: Hamatora
Canon Point: Just after his fight with Nice, the end of episode 10 of Re:.
    Species: Human
    Gender: Male
Orientation: Ratio is not particularly interested in being with anyone romantically or sexually if it is not Birthday. Birthday is everything in his world.

History: Ratio on the wiki. Also a list of Hamatora episodes and Re: Hamatora episodes to give general information of what happens in the series.
    Appearance: Here he is
    Personality:
Probably the most prominent things about Ratio’s personality are the facts that he is very even-tempered and serious-minded. He tends to keep cool in most situations and evaluate everything going on before making any assumptions or voicing any thoughts. It is better, in his mind, to remain calm and collected than to react rashly to something and wind up putting people in even more danger than absolutely necessary. He handles everyday situations as if they were simply a sort of puzzle that he needs to solve in an unattached way. And he keeps a level head whenever dealing with people who are of especially volatile natures.

On top of being such a serious person, Ratio is actually very intelligent as well. He has not only completed all of the basic classes required in Japan, but went on to medical school and managed to finish up in only a couple of years to become a full-fledged doctor. He has been practicing for a couple of years already and it already seen as a highly respected doctor. All of these things combine to give Ratio a very dry sort of sense of humor. For example, after beating up a group of thugs, he comments to them that they’re lucky because in prison they will be able to do weight training to improve their inferior muscles. And he thinks this sort of comment is cutting and very funny, though he would never laugh at his own jokes. He makes a very good ‘straight man’ for anyone attempting to bring out the humor in him (which is why he plays off of Birthday so well).

Ratio is also a very protective sort of person. Once someone has become dear to him, he will fight with everything he has to protect and save them, even to the point of risking his own life and attempting to kill one of his other friends in an attempt to save Birthday. Part of the reason he became a doctor was because it was the only way he could think of to help cure his best friend of the terminal disease he suffers from. The fact that he is willing to alter the entire trajectory of his life in order to protect someone he cares about is a good indication of just how drastic his protective instincts are.

Another important point to note is that Ratio is very mysophobic. He likes for things to be clean and orderly and will go out of his way to clean up any messes he finds, even if they are not his to clean up. In fact, cleaning calms him and he will gladly spend time cleaning instead of doing more stressful tasks. This is also the reason that he can always be found wearing a pair of sturdy gloves - to keep all the dirtiness away.

Despite everything that Ratio is, there is one person who can always turn him around and bring out sides of his personality that anyone else only very rarely sees. Birthday brings out all of the worst in Ratio. Because he is such an impulsive and self-destructive person, Ratio tends to get heated with him. They also regularly have lively banter going on between them and Ratio finds himself very easily pulled into whatever shenanigans Birthday wants to drag him along on. He has a hard time saying ‘no’ to Birthday because Birthday is the most important person in his life - the person who saved him from himself. And so he shows a lot of his softer and harder sides to Birthday that almost no one else ever gets the opportunity to see.
Abilities: Ratio’s Minimum is the Perspective Minimum. What this means is that when he uses his right eye to look at someone, he can see their general physical makeup and where their weak points are at. He can also see if someone is suffering from any sort of debilitating diseases by looking at their weak points, which he uses in his profession as a doctor regularly. He is very knowledgeable about medical procedures and diagnosing after years of studying and practicing as a doctor. Also, he is a skilled fighter and is able to pointedly hit the weak points on people he is fighting when using his Minimum.
    Other: N/A

    SAMPLES;
    First Person:
[Hello there, Holly Heights! You will be greeted by a very frowny Ratio, who is still wearing his eye patch even though it doesn’t actually… do anything now… He has one hand cupped on his chin, looking thoughtful, as he peers at the camera for a few moments before speaking.]

So it seems like we’ve been trapped here against our will. I can’t say this is the first time I’ve found myself in such an odd situation, but it is certainly different from what I’ve come to expect. I’m sure many of you feel much the same way, of course, and I’m sorry for all of you who’ve found yourselves here just like I have.

[There’s a long pause in which Ratio seems to be weighing his options before he speaks again.]

I’m a doctor by trade, though it seems like there aren’t really that many sick people around here. I would like to be able to practice to whatever capacity I can. If anyone could inform me of the clinics in the area or whether anyone needs a checkup for any reason, I would certainly appreciate that.

    Thank you very much.

    Third Person:
It wasn’t like Ratio hadn’t been kidnapped before. He certainly had been. Many times. And he’d always come out the other end perfectly fine. But this situation seemed completely different in a lot of ways. There was nothing to indicate that there was any malice behind this kidnapping and everything looked to be perfectly normal in the area surrounding where he had woken up. Even everything inside the house that he has been assigned seemed normal. There was nothing really restricting him and that seemed a little odd for a kidnapping.

There were parts of this situation that made it all feel perfectly alright, but those same things put Ratio on edge more than any chains could. Were they going to become complacent after only a short time of living this suburban life? What had been done to their bodies to produce the changes that blocked his Minimum? How was he supposed to adapt to a change like this? Where was everyone else? Why him?

Too many questions were pouring through his mind, so much so that he didn’t even realize he wasn’t the only person in the house for a very long time. In fact, he didn’t realize it until a familiar pair of arms had wrapped around him and the sudden weight dragged him immediately to the ground...

she has an incredibly close relationship with her two best friends and is extremely affectionate with both of them, but she's never seen exhibiting romantic feelings toward either gendder. from the perspective of a heteronormative society in the world at large, it would be easy to assume her sexuality as heterosexual, but we are given absolutely no indication of attraction either way. she doesn't exhibit a distinct lack of, or aversion to the possibility of, attraction, either. based on her attachments to her two childhood best friends and how much she cares for them, however, and for the purpose of this app, i'm going to just say that it's likely she's at the very least bisexual, if not super, super gay.

    Personality:
The first thing most people notice about Honoka is that she is a.) a ball of pure sunshine, and b.) super extremely all the time in your face enthusiastic. She's a go-getter, a natural born leader, the person who takes your hand and drags you to certain danger fun and advernture where previously you may have been too afraid. She's courageous and brave and has a zest for life that's beyond compare. She’s very optimistic and bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, positive, and excited about everything.

As stated previously, Honoka is a natural leader. She has a keen ability to find things in common with all different types of people, all different personalities, and bring them together. She’s like this giant sparkly ball of warm, loving glue that sticks everyone together and keeps them that way. Even though their idol group started just as she and her two best friends (who I will address in a minute), they managed to recruit six other girls - and most of this was due to the fact that Honoka is so magnetic. The group itself was magnetic, but even when there’s tension, Honoka reminds all of the girls that they’re all there because they love to sing and dance together. It’s about forming bonds and connections and doing what they all enjoy, together. Nobody can resist Honoka Kousaka when she decides to rally!

She has a way of bringing people out of their shells and into the light. When she was a child, when she first met Umi - one of her two very best friends - she was extremely shy and wary of other people. Honoka wasn’t shy at all about inviting her to play in the game she and Kotori were engaged in, and a lifelong friendship was born. That’s just how Honoka functions. She reaches down into a person once she meets them and touches their life, and she yanks out the best and brightest version of them. She can’t help it. In Myers-Briggs terms, Honoka is absolutely a textbook ENFP, “The Inspirer”.

She’s very extroverted. Not only is she very much a people person, but she’s also very open-hearted and open… in general. She’s not terribly conservative with her emotions, and she doesn’t mask her feelings well. She may not even try to mask them. There’s really no point; she’s an open book. Heart on her sleeve, out in the open for everyone to see, Honoka’s emotions are on display all the time. Whether she’s irritated, sad, excited, or just relaxed, it’s impossible not to know. She wears it in her mannerisms, her facial expressions, her posture… Her emotions are in everything she does. She is a very feeling person. She is incredibly sentimental, deeply affected by her surroundings and the people in them.

Generally speaking, she is a very kind and warm girl. She’s nice to everyone around her, often to the degree where it might be considered impolite. She’s almost too nice. Her kindness can sometimes become overbearing... When she has a goal in mind, she’s persistent about it. Usually, this is a good thing! But sometimes it can be a bit much, and she can get a little tunnel-visiony about things. Most of the time she’s pretty perceptive to the feelings of her friends and the people around her, but she - just like any other teenage girl with big dreams and big ambitions - can forget to see the forest for the trees and get caught up in her own little world. The most glaring instance of this was when Kotori was truly torn between going to Italy and staying with her friends and the idol group, and Honoka couldn’t seem to understand the fact that Kotori was sending her signals, practically begging her through her actions to ask Kotori to stay).

She isn’t really selfish intentionally (though she’s been known to barter and bargain and make deals with people to get something she wants from them when she really, really needs or wants it), but sometimes she just gets so focused on the goal she has in mind that she simply spaces the fact that what she does has an effect on other people. She can also be pretty stubborn in conjunction with this, and that stubbornness - while it helps her (and her friends) reach their end goal - can be a lot to handle, and unintentionally hurtful. It is more often than not something fairly minor, but she always feels guilty and is quick to apologize as soon as she realizes there have been feelings hurt.

All in all, Honoka is a bright and beaming young woman with big dreams, lofty goals, and all of the drive and motivation and enthusiasm to achieve them all!! She can do anything she puts her mind to, and so long as she has her friends, she’ll always be just fine.

    Abilities:
She’s an exceptional motivator and leader, and she can sing and dance pretty well!! Otherwise, she’s just a regular teenage girl.

    (2/2)

    [personal profile] idkmybffgon 2015-09-02 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Personality: Killua is one of the characters that goes through the most development in the entire series. He starts off as just a smarmy kid who is trying to get away from the family business of assassination and has no real plans or goals in life and through his trials and tribulations with Gon and the other cast members of the series, he manages to bloom into a young man who actually wants to do good things with his life and wants to find a way to make an impact on the world, even if it is only through one person at a time. The way that we see Killua change through the series is just astounding, but I will focus mostly on his general personality at the very end of the series, where he is being taken from.

The first thing anyone might notice about Killua is that he is rather socially inept. He has spent so much time seeing people as just strangers, servants, or targets that he has a hard time connecting with people on a personal level. Which is why his relationship with Gon is just so important to him and his growth as a person. Killua WANTS to be close to others, but lacks the ability to fully turn off his cold demeanor, so you get scenes like the one where he tells Palm that he won’t ever thank her for anything again because now they’re friends and friends don’t have to thank each other for anything, they just help each other. And that is legitimately how he sees friendship - as this completely selfless and pure thing.

A lot of Killua’s personality seems to be glaring contradictions. He believes in the sanctity of life, but will not hesitate to kill someone if they are threatening or hurting his friends. He has a desparate need to be close to people, but has a tendency to accidentally push them away with his sometimes standoffish behavior. His friends are the most important people in the world to him, but the moment that they express the same feeling to him he gets overwhelmed and embarrassed and can’t handle the compliments or the feelings of affection.

There are times when Killua seems to have the maturity of someone far beyond his age and he has the intellect to back that up, seeming cool and collected in overwhelming situations and able to come up with foolproof plans at the drop of a hat. He doesn’t blink an eye at violence or fighting in general and will in fact be very noncommittal about it a lot of the time, tending to run and fight with his hands deep in his pockets at times. At other times, though, his young age shows blatantly, especially when he is around his best friend, Gon. He can be very childish and argumentative and likes to play around, have fun, and eat candy. In fact, if he had a choice, this would be how he’d spend the majority of his time.

Through a lot of the series, Killua is shown to be afraid of fighting people who are stronger than him because his older brother had always told him that he should run away from fights he could not win. This was his brother’s way of showing Killua he loved him and for a long time, Killua viewed fear and control as the only real form of love that existed. But during his fight with a Chimera Ant, Killua managed to realize that the voice in his head hindering from fighting back against strong opponents was not just his fear or imagination, but in fact his brother controlling his mind. Having removed the mind control device (a needle imbued with Nen), Killua has become a much braver person and can certainly stand up to opponents that are stronger than him, but he tempers that with his intelligence, knowing when it’s best to back away, completely the opposite of Gon, who will charge head-first into anything.

One of the most important defining characteristics of Killua is how selfless he is. He frequently suffers in order to put his friends before himself, which we can see when he holds the ball for Gon during their volleyball match against Razor, allowing his hands to be utterly DESTROYED so that they can win as a team. He trusts his friends deeply and will do anything to help them, like going against his entire family in order to bring the one person who could heal Gon to his hospital bed, under the threat of death and much worse. Though, he was also doing that as a way to get his sister out of the awful solitary confinement his parents had put her in. In addition to this, Killua does not think very highly of himself. This probably is because he was raised to only be skilled at killing people and so he thinks that he has little worth for anything else and certainly doesn’t deserve the kinds of friendships that he has made since running away from home. He once comments on the fact that Gon is so bright and wonders if it is really okay for him to stay with Gon, if he really deserves that.

Killua cares very deeply about the feelings of others, as evidenced by the fact that he is the only person in his family who respects Alluka’s wishes to be seen as female, telling the Butlers that accompany them that she will need a female butler to take care of her because he won’t let any man be with his sister all alone. Alluka is actually the first person in Killua’s life that he ever felt overwhelming, true affection for, and having removed his brother’s control over him, he vowed to make sure that Alluka would be free and happy for the rest of her life. Killua also offers to kill people for his friends who are still ‘innocents’ because he does not want them to have to feel the pain of having ended another human life. That is how deeply he cares about the important people in his life.

Because he has gone through so much in his young life - including torture training and making himself immune to poisons - Killua can tend to come off as blunt and a little detached from the world. But that is certainly hiding his true nature - that of a goofy, lovable, mischievous little kid who just wants to be able to explore the world and spend time with the people he loves. The huge driving force behind a lot of his goals and self-worth is Gon. He became a Hunter in order to stay with Gon, he put himself in mortal peril to stay by Gon’s side, and he rescued his sister and faced the wrath of his family so that he could make Gon well again. Gon has changed his life and Killua feels deeply about their friendship and has a strong, unbreakable affection for his best friend.
Abilities: The wiki gives a really good list of all of his powers. But here is a quick summary:
    -VERY strong
    -VERY fast
    -EXTREME endurance
    -Immune to poison
    -High pain threshold
    -Resistance to electricity
-SUPER flexible (including being able to dislocate his joints, whatever)
    -Quick healing
    -Genius-level intelligence
    -Expert fighter (hand-to-hand, weapons, etc.)
    -EXTREME stealth
    -Great at skateboarding
    -Great at darts
-He also uses Nen and can transform his aura into electricity and use that to make his reflexes and movement much quicker.

    A thread with Alluka.

    Third Person:
The last thing that Killua could remember was holding hands with Alluka and leading her towards the safest hotel he could find in the city they had been visiting. He had been shopping with her and it was getting dark and he knew that the best way to keep her safe was to go somewhere enclosed and protected with locks and security guards. But for some reason, when he opened his eyes, his hand was cold and the sky above him was bright with sunshine, causing him to flinch and shield his eyes.

Then the fact that there was no one next to him caught his attention. And immediately, Killua began to panic.

“Alluka?” His first word was tenuous, almost like he was hoping that she had just wandered out of sight while his eyes were closed. When he heard no response and looking around himself frantically brought no new information, the panic started to sink deeper into his stomach.

“Alluka!” He was shouting now, hopping to his feet. There were some keys in his hand, he now noted, part of the reason it was so cold probably. But he didn’t have time to deal with that, so he promptly shoved the keys in his pocket and whipped his head around to yell once more. “ALLUKA!”

She had to be around here. He had to protect her. He just HAD to! With that sense of urgency hovering over him like a dark cloud, Killua took off, running at top speed to search everywhere he could as quickly as he could.

Canon Point: Post the 13th Chairman election arc, after Killua and Gon part ways.
    Species: Human
Gender: Alluka's gender is a bit of a topic of debate among some parts of the fandom. Biologically, Alluka is male. However, the characters in the show that refer to Alluka using male-gendered terms (he, brother, etc) are shown to view Alluka as nothing more than an object, or a threat, rather than as a person, and are also seen using non-gendered terms as well (it, or 'that thing'). On the other hand, the characters that Alluka is closest to, holds the most affection for, and finds the comfort in being near use female-gendered terms (she, sister, etc) when referring to Alluka. Coupled with the fact that the character presents very feminine in both dress and interests leads me to the conclusion that Alluka prefers being viewed as female, and this application will reflect such.
Orientation: N/A. The only characters we see Alluka interacting with outside of her family are the household butlers (who are strictly forbidden from becoming overly friendly with the children) and a brief instance with a friend of her brother. The only person she appears to hold any large amount of affection for is her brother, but she's only like 12 so it's all moot either way.

History: Wiki link! Both the background and plot sections contain an account of Alluka's role in the story.
Appearance: Uguu. As Nanika, her appearance sometimes shifts so that her face looks this, but not always, and there are no other significant changes to her appearance otherwise.

    [personal profile] grants_wishes 2015-09-02 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
Personality: The first whisperings we hear of Alluka in the story involve how she is some sort of dark creature, something non-human and incapable of emotion. Something to be feared, and something worth locking away. The first time we actually see her, all of this appears to be true. Sitting in the middle of a room full of toys, motionless, a blank look on her face and pitch black eyes...

That is, until her older brother shows up. Then, as if a switch is flipped, Alluka immediately brightens up, showing a rather unexpected side for someone who is supposed to be a true terror. In actuality, Alluka is a very cheerful, very sunny child, who has the misfortune of 1) having a super scary power and 2) living in a family that is terrified of said power.

As can be expected of someone so young, Alluka is childish in her behavior and very easily entertained, finding enjoyment in fairly simple things. When she was younger, she's seen enjoying things such as playing with dolls, and her room is absolutely filled with stuffed animals even as she's grown up a bit. Her absolute favorite thing, however, is getting to spend time with her older brother, Killua. As soon as he's around, Alluka seems the most at ease, constantly smiling, laughing, and generally enjoying herself in his presence. The two are shown playing very simple games with each other, much to her delight, and these moments are when she's at her happiest.

Due to the fact that she spent a good chunk of her life locked up in complete solitude, Alluka has very little social skills. Even in her early life, the only people she has contact with outside of her immediate family are the family butlers who are, by their job description, typically accommodating to the children of the Zoldyck family. As such, she has very little experience with having harsher attitudes thrown her way, and she seems to hold the belief that strangers are largely off-limits for her, preferring to stick close to the people that she knows, or those she's told she can trust. Considering how sheltered of a life she led even before the whole 'being locked up' nonsense, this sort of behavior isn't very surprising.

On the other hand, this makes Alluka extremely receptive to affection. She's shown as a child getting plenty of positive attention from her older brother, as the two were always very close. Being cut off from other people for as long as she had been likely served to amplify the feelings of needing to be praised by others, and the first thing she does upon reuniting with her brother is dive at him for a hug. She's often seen asking to have her head pat after a job well done, or wanting to be praised for doing something correctly.

All of that ties in with a feeling of dependency on others, however. Alluka doesn't seem to do well when left on her own, as evidenced by the fact that her solitude is first shown with her appearing to be completely devoid of emotions until someone else shows up. She isn't a fighter, which puts her in a spot where she can easily be subjected to danger, at which point it's up to someone else to save her from harm. This also has made her a pretty prime target for the other members of her family wanting to manipulate her, and again leading her to needing protection.

There are moments when Alluka shows a slightly more serious side, and displays an awareness of her situation as a force that causes a lot of fighting between others. After being whisked away from home by Killua, and having the oldest Zoldyck sibling follow them in order to kill her, Alluka asks if everyone would be happier if she weren't around. It's unlikely that the realizations come from a sense of danger to herself, but more when the chance of harm comes to someone she actually cares about because of her. Moments like this are fleeting, but do show a slightly different side to her than what's normally showcased through the story.

As Nanika, her basic personality doesn't change a whole lot. Nanika still craves affection the way Alluka does, probably to an even larger degree, as she always asks for approval after completing a task that's been asked of her by Killua. She still clings to those that she feels safe with, and still seems to take heavy moments to heart. The biggest change that can be seen when Nanika comes out is a more subdued demeanor overall. She doesn't hold the same energy and enthusiasm that Alluka does, even though interests remain generally the same, and she's still pleased by the same sorts of things. Additionally, her behavior feels like that of a child younger than Alluka, as she's a little more prone to crying when something effects her in a negative way, and easily cheered up again by kind words and gestures.

Abilities: Alluka, coming from a family of highly adept assassins, known for being ruthless, meticulous, and efficient, has no real combat skills to speak of what so ever. It appears that, while the Zoldyck family starts training their children to carry out the family job at a young age, Alluka herself was instead locked away in the basement for most of her life and gone out of their way to not train her at all, after her family had discovered the sort of power she does posses.

Her power, put simply, is to grant a wishes after three requests from her are fulfilled! It's pretty awesome.

The magnitude of what she asks for starts at 'level one', so to speak, with easy tasks such as piggy back rides, hand holding, head patting, and the like. If the tasks are completed as asked, she will then grant any wish with seemingly no limitation what so ever. The 'cost' of the wish is then transferred to whoever receives the next set of requests, making them more difficult based on the magnitude of the wish, though later it's shown that the 'greed' of the wish is what effects the 'cost' of it. The 'cost' of someone asking for a top of the line computer resulted in the next debtor having to rip off various finger nails, another request to become a billionaire made the next set of requests all about giving up the debtor's vital organs, and so on. If four requests are denied, the person who is being asked to fulfill these tasks will be instantly killed, along with their most loved person (and in instances where the cost of the previous wish was especially high, a number of people the person spent the most time with will also be involved). However, if a wish is made in order to heal someone or something, the next set of requests revert back to level one, and are never ever cruel in nature. Additionally, the person making the next wish does not have to be the person who fulfilled the three requests in order to put Alluka into wish granting mode.

This power comes with a large set of rules.
    1. If Alluka's four requests are denied and the person who had been tasked to meet them dies, the difficulty of her requests revert back to level one.
    2. Alluka's requests can't be transferred to another person in the middle of making them, so if she's started asking things of one person who then cloaks their presence or makes themselves scarce, Alluka's requests will be put on pause until the person returns to her.
    3. If the person fulfilling her requests dies partway through, it's considered a failure, and at least one more person will die as a result.
    4. Alluka will not make requests of a person she doesn't know the name of.
    5. One person can not ask Alluka for consecutive wishes (generally speaking. This rule can be bent, which is explained in a later rule).
    6. Alluka can only grant 1 wish at a time, but conditions can be given to make the wish more versatile. (In series, this is demonstrated by her brother Killua requesting that Alluka kill someone if they aren't in a certain place within a half hour, but if they are, she is to give him a kiss on the cheek.)
    7. If a wish is made for healing Alluka must make physical contact with the target.
    8. Killua is given special privileges due to the nature of his close relationship with Alluka, allowing him to bypass the request meeting stage entirely as well as as the 'cost' of previous wishes and rule 5, by making 'commands' rather than 'wishes'. In this case,if requests are made to someone else after Killua has made a 'command', the wish cost would remain the same as the last granted 'wish', rather than the cost of the 'command' granted.

Other: The relationship between Alluka and Nanika is a bit confusing to riddle out without exposition, and is worth detailing though it doesn't really seem to suit being the the personality section. At one point, it's noted that Nanika spends far more time in control than it would initially appear, as the audience is lead to believe that Nanika is strictly the black-eyed entity that appears when Alluka is in wish-granting mode. It's later shown that this is not the case, and a lot of the times that Alluka appears to be herself, it's actually Nanika in control. Times when the two swap places are:
    Alluka is awake after someone fails to meet Nanika's requests and is killed until the next person gets requested;
Alluka is awake after Nanika's requests are interrupted by the recipient of the requests leaving; and
Alluka is awake after Nanika has healed something and fallen asleep until Alluka grants another wish.

Alluka and Nanika are also able to trade places at will, though situations rarely call for it. The only person who seems to be able to tell the difference between the two 100% of the time is Killua, noting that Alluka always calls him 'brother', where as Nanika always calls him by his name.

    Muse box test run!

    Third Person:
Being left alone in such a strange place is definitely an unexpected change of pace from the adventuring she had been doing with her brother just moments ago. Weirdness of the situation aside, Alluka knows that she's not supposed to be left alone without her brother by her side. He's the one who's going to protect her, and keep her safe, right?

There are a few moments of complete unease from the small girl, while she tries to debate what the best course of action would be. Should she wait here for him to possibly show up? Should she go looking for him? What if he's somewhere around, but unable to find her as well? Frowning thoughtfully, she stands in the front lawn of the home she has no idea will be her own, leaving the packet of papers that would explain the situation largely ignored in favor of pouring over her own thoughts.

Eventually, she reaches a conclusion. The best thing to do now would be to try and find him! With a little effort, the two of them are bound to run into each other sooner or later. With that thought in mind, she sets off in whatever direction looks the most interesting, and the least crowded. She knows, of course, that her brother wouldn't want her talking to a bunch of strangers. That could land both of them in trouble, and causing problems for her brother is the last thing she'd want to do after winding up in a completely unknown place.

That does not, however, stop her from taking note of a few other yards that have dogs running around in them. The urge to take a closer look is a strong one, but her resolve stands firm. She has to find Killua...! But it's pretty hard to resist when one of them comes bounding up to her, tail wagging and tongue lolling happily out of its mouth. She stands there and watches it for a few moments, feeling her resolve slowly chipping away until she finally drops down into a crouch to greet the dog.

"Uwaahh, you're so cute! And you're so much smaller than the dogs my family has!"

    OTHER;
Housing Request?: I would like Alluka to be put in either house 1491, or 1488 so that she can be with her brother, if possible!

Appearance: manga | have another manga | full body | anime: base stealing is his thing

Look at him, grinning like an idiot...

He's on the shorter side, being 170cm tall (5'7"). First impression most people, especially from younger kids, is of a punk. He works out regularly for sports so his body build is pretty good! Also his hair is naturally dark green.

    Personality:
"I want to be the ace ... I want to bat clean up ... I want to be a regular and play in a game. Everyone comes here thinking that. But the truth is, there are only nine positions and close to a hundred players. The fittest make it and everyone else can only wait for the next chance. So we have to work hard for them too. You're not the only one who feels the pressure."
At first glance, Youichi seems like a delinquent causing trouble. That isn't far off from the truth, where he actually was a delinquent while he was in middle school: bleaching his hair blond, talking back at his own mom calling her "OLD HAG" as well as getting into trouble with fights. He's starting to grow out of the stage where a kid is trying to be an adult, but it's still hard to completely get rid of the personae he has in appearance and how he generally acts. He still pulls pranks, laughs at other's misfortunes (with his trademark "Hyahaha!" laugh), and gets pissed off yelling at things and people.

Youichi is surprisingly good at looking out for others. This is probably because he's been looking out for his teammates ever since he was in the little leagues as a superb defense player, doing all he can for his team to win as many matches as they could. He also looked out for his friends up until middle school as well, not hesitating to be the one taking the dirt and getting into trouble. In fact, this part of him was what caused his childhood friends to end up using the goodhearted nature of his to get back at some people who they could not beat themselves. Youichi has since then taken a step back from actively trying to make friends but to focus on the one thing he liked--baseball--so he doesn't go jumping into other people's business when there's trouble, but he still does notice anything that's concerning and/or off of the other members.

Throughout the series, Youichi is the one voicing his concern over Eijun whenever the protagonist would be in his depressive state, especially when Eijun was struggling with yips. He also notices Ryosuke's and Miyuki's injury in different parts of the series as well. With Ryosuke's case it was difficult for him to say anything because he knew well enough that it was Ryosuke's last year and chance at heading to the Koshien; but he knew well enough that the dream wouldn't be accomplished if Ryosuke had stayed out in the field and ends up speaking up about it. In Miyuki's case, as soon as he and Shirasu realizes Miyuki got injured, they originally decide to speak up if it would look like it will affect the next match. But seeing how Miyuki was toughing it out until right before the match started, Youichi speaks his mind clearly to him, that if he is tough it out he needs to do so until they win the match. In addition, early on in the series, he was one of the few to pick up on how Tanba disliked Miyuki as well.

While Youichi is originally the type who would act before thinking, he has learned to keep his head cool while speaking of his mind, especially after taking up on the role of being a vice captain. This could be because he has seen the third years interact with each other before him and had learned some things from them of what kind of a role he should be playing as vice captain, as well as his past experience before coming to Seido. Baseball is all he basically has for himself and he wouldn't do anything careless to throw away this chance he had thought he lost back when none of the high schools nearby his home. When he speaks his mind, he doesn't hold back on his thoughts; he speaks of harsh truth when needed, such in cases with Eijun as well as with Miyuki. Of course, Youichi is never the best when it comes to rebuttals so with people who can reply back with confidence and keeping their cool, Youichi would end up getting back to his older self of getting angry and yelling.

Youichi respects the upperclassmen/underclassmen hierarchy. With the upperclassmen he keeps his own manners in check, addressing everyone properly and more polite. This is seen a lot, especially with Ryousuke, where he's generally polite and well-mannered for a punk-ish guy. The mannerisms go away when he's talking to the underclassmen, where he may even end up raising his voice. He's also usually the one to point out and punish Eijun whenever he would disrespect his seniors with improper mannerisms. In fact, Eijun is the only one who gets special treatment of receiving wrestling moves from Youichi whenever he steps out of line with forgetting to address his seniors properly.

While he can be sensible and generally a nice guy once you get to know him, Youichi doesn't seem to have that many friends aside from the baseball team he interacts with on a constant basis, especially with Miyuki who happens to be in the same class as him during school time. And even with that, it doesn't seem like Youichi is on friendly terms with Miyuki. Perhaps it is true that Youichi doesn't have any friends, where his friendship had betrayed him and almost cost him his high school life during middle school. Since he has seen how straight forward each of the team members are to the sport, Youichi generally prefers to hang out with his team members whenever there's free time--which leads him barging into certain dorm rooms to play video games with other people, or getting people to come over to play games with him as well. Aside from them, though, Youichi doesn't go out of his way to try making friends outside of his team: there is possibly the part of him not wanting to expect much out from complete strangers only to be hurt again. He's social, but he doesn't easily pick up friends.

Youichi's behavior changes drastically when he talks to girls, especially ones he likes. This happens when he meets Wakana, Eijun's childhood friend for the first time, where he starts acting like a bit more like a gentleman while dragging Eijun away so they can leave. While you don't see him interacting with the female students at school, if any where to approach him Youichi would act very much as kindly as he did with Wakana as well. But because he has already pasted an image of being an angry punk due to being around Miyuki, there probably is a small chance of him having girls approach him at Seido. Thanks Miyuki :|

    Abilities:
    - One of the fastest runners on the team! Once he's on base, opposing teams need to be super careful--otherwise he'll steal bases the moment he sees an opening. At one point he gets nicknamed "cheetah-sama"! His legs are cheap His strongest weapon doesn't become effective until he gets on base, though.

    - His sense of balance is superb! You see this for one frame in the side story chapter focusing on him during middle school: he also has some sense in playing soccer when he picks up a soccer ball that kids at the apartment complex were playing with with his feet. He's also a fairly good fighter, seeing how he took on a small group of guys and got away with just scratches.

He utilizes this ability especially while on defense, where he's able to catch and throw with either of his hands from any catching position. His tag-teaming as shortstop with Ryousuke Kominato on second base made it a hard-to-break infield defense.

    - He is a switch hitter/ambidextrous: he can bat from both left and right sides! He can also catch/throw with either hands as well! This along with his excellent sense of balance makes it easier for him catch and throw with the same hand at times.

    - Speaking of fighting, he likes to use some wrestling moves. He uses them mainly on Sawamura though.

    - Resident video game champion in the dorms of Seido, according to the Dia no A guidebook! (Haruichi's a close second)

    - He is probably a pretty good artist. One of his favorite classes is Art! He probably can do some sketch to paintings, and a little bit of a headcanon but, from time to time gets some alone time doing some painting as a means of stress management.

...But other than that, he's a completely normal human being. None of the super power sorts!

"Augh it's so friggin' hot..." Youichi grumbled under his breath as he looked up at the bright sun-light sky. Japan's summer was hot, but knowing that he lived in Japan was what got him through the summer. But to experience something close (if not more) to Japan's hot summer weather in a different place got to him a lot easier. Even having a bandanna on even outside of practice made it hard to keep the sweat out of his eyes, and it was distracting him from his batting practice.

Youichi gave another groan out as another sweat dripped from the tip of his hair. Screw this heat, he was going to indulge in some unhealthy sugar-filled carbonated drink to relieve some of this heat off, even for a moment...

That's when he notices a familiar backside: the one and only Eijun Sawamoron, latched onto Kazuya "shit-personality" Miyuki. Probably whining about getting the four-eyes catcher to catch for him, like usual. And seeing how there was only one catcher in this entire neighborhood, Miyuki seemed to have even more trouble trying to get away from the enthusiastic first year.

Youichi watched the two argue like a couple on a date in silence for a while. A mischievous grin formed on his face as an idea popped in his mind, and he hopped lightly over to the nearest vending machine. Two cold drinks for a moronic couple, to go! As three carbonated drinks (one without sugar for stupid Miyuki, and one extra for himself, duh) came out of the vending machine, Youichi quickly took them out gave two of the drinks a real good shake before approaching the two.

"Yo you two! You look like a couple arguing over something stupid from the distance, keep it down will ya?!" He called out, adding his trademark Hyaha! laugh at the end, as he held up two ticking time bombs drinks for the two teammates.

    Gon Freecss | Hunter x Hunter | 2 / 2

    [personal profile] gonnarockyou 2015-09-02 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Personality: A rustic and generally sunny young boy. He sees the world through big bright eyes that are eager to see the next thrilling adventure. He’s playful and out-going, often times content with horsing around and having the chance to be a kid. That is to say, Gon can be a naive with strange view of morals. With his own father leaving him to continue being a Hunter, Gon didn't take this as cruel or irresponsible but rather it lit a fire in him. Being a Hunter must be an amazing job for someone to leave their own son, right? With that, Gon had set his mind on becoming a Hunter as well and tracking down his father. Due to his young age, he is naturally very curious. He isn’t shy when it comes to asking questions and enjoys learning about anything from skateboarding to how forgery works. He doesn’t judge others based on their expertise either. On that note, he takes more to hands-on learning rather than reading or studying from books. He is extremely bad at math and will quickly burn out on it. Long winded explanations of how something works will also make his brain fry.

More often than not, Gon is pretty positive and upbeat. He’s an honest boy that doesn’t hesitate to bluntly state what is on his mind or how he feels, even if it is embarrassing to others. If he thinks your amazing, he will tell you openly. He is simple-minded in this aspect which does coincide with him being an Enhancer. When a problem arises, Gon usually can think up a simple solution and will try to apply it. He isn’t afraid of failure so trying out of the box things comes naturally to him. Gon is incredibly emotional, and tends to wear his heart on his sleeve. If he's mad, he'll show it. If he's excited, he'll bounce from foot to foot and express it clear as day without resistant. Overall, his view of the world is positive and his resolve is absolute.

Gon is as friendly as they come. He has no trouble talking to strangers or befriending others. Give him your life story? That’s fine, he’ll listen with an open mind. He’ll openly show his admiration for another that impresses or amazes him. This also includes opponents that are stronger than he. In fact, he’ll challenge someone that he knows is much stronger just to test out his own abilities and get stronger himself. He hates being on the losing end. He is quickly frustrated with being weak and he will do everything he can to get stronger. Gon loves a challenge, even one that can put him on his death bed. Once he sets his mind to something and his stubborn determination takes over, that's it. He has an unhealthy relationship with looking death in the face and getting adrenaline rushes from these fearsome fights. He feeds off it, even going so far as to put carefully-laid out plans on hold so he can get what he wants out of a fight. He's not happy until he's satisfied that need. In the Hunter Exam, when Hanzo surrender saying he couldn't think of a way to make Gon give up. Gon argued instantly with the man and demanded they find another way to settle things. No matter how vain or pointless it seems to others, Gon is very hard headed about it. Winning wasn’t considered winning in less it meets Gon's terms. Any softness or handicaps annoy him. He wants to fight someone at their best.

Gon also does not think of the consequences before he acts. Even if the opponent is just in it to kill him, that just makes the fight that much more worthwhile. He is selfish in this regard as he puts his needs before others. While he will never abandon a friend in need and will bend over backwards for those he cares for, when it comes to pushing his strength and getting stronger....Gon just doesn’t yield. He willingly puts his life on the line to get stronger, to push his limits to the very end. Killua is one of the only people that can talk sense into him and help calm him down when his impulsive nature gets the best of him. That’s his best friend! Killua is by far the one that understands Gon best and in turn Gon trusts him 100%. Gon accepts and adores Killua. So what if he’s young-assassin trained since birth on how to kill others ruthlessly and quick as possible? Killua is Killua! Social standing and rank mean next to nothing to Gon. He takes things at face value and moves on from there. Despite being as simple-minded and even coming off a little dumb, Gon has a high awareness of his surroundings and other people's feelings. He makes friends based on a natural instinct that rarely is wrong. He can be a pretty good judge of character and see the good even in some of the worst of people. His trust is unwavering.

Gon’s desire to become stronger and help his friends is something that shapes him as a person. Even despite everything that happened in the Chimera Ants arc, Gon remains to be extremely warm and friendly towards those who he cares for and will do anything to protect. He’s a cheerful boy that looks for the best in the world even though he knows the world really isn’t that sunny. Much like Ging had mentioned to him, he tries to enjoy life's little twist, turns and detours while making his way to his goals.

Since losing his ability to use or see Nen, Gon isn’t too sure what he wants to do now. He knows without it he isn’t really a match for fighters like Hisoka or anyone else. Thus it has put a hit on his goals and plans but he isn’t the type to let himself be down for long.

    Abilities:
Due to Cannon point Gon is unable to use or see Nen but for the sake of listing all his abilities:
Nen is essentially Gon’s world’s variation on ki, chi, willpower, ect. It is the life force in all living beings. A skilled individual can control their Nen and use it in various ways. Nen falls under one of six different categories (Enhancer,Transmuter, Manipulator, Conjurer, Emitter, and Specialist). Gon is categorized as a Enhancer which, in most basic terms, means he can hit things really really hard and take a beating with the best of them. Enhancers are able to increase and reinforce their physical attacks and defense. As a natural Zetsu user, Gon's talent can be found only in one on a million people. Gon’s Nen is directly affected by his emotions and state of mind. It’s been noted how his aura grows exceptionally when angered or protecting someone.
JaJanken Gon’s ability consists of three parts. As the name states, it goes off of the traditional game logic of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Rock is a close range attack where Gon concentrates most of his aura into his fist and releases it when he punches. It is by far his strongest attack and can do devastating damage depending on the amount of aura he puts into it. This is typically his go-to attack and he is able to move while holding it. When using Scissors, Gon changes and shapes his aura into a blade to slice at his opponent. While not nearly as strong as his ‘Rock’, it can slice through what he can’t break with the punch. Paper is his Long range attack where he can shoot out a ball of aura at his opponent.
Strength | Gon is really strong, especially for his age. In the second arc of the series, Gon is able to help push open a door weighing two tons. This is pretty early canon and he has since shown amazing growth so he can most likely handle more. He is able to pry heavy-large concert titles from the ground as well as hold a large boulder over his head with ease while sleeping. He can shatter boulders with punches and kicks and punch through walls that are not reinforced. With Nen; there are very few things his punch won’t get through if he puts enough power into it.
Speed/Agility/Reaction | Gon possess great speed. It’s mentioned to even be on par with Killua's (when Nen isn’t added in) With his agility he can create multiple afterimages of himself and even disappear briefly from sight. He is also pretty agile, as he can attack from almost any position. His swiftness is mainly used to dodge the enemy's attacks and react immediately after being hit.
Stamina | Speaking of taking hits; Gon can take hits with the best of them. He seems a sturdier body than a normal human. If he releases his aura, he becomes even more resistant, due both to him being an Enhancer and his impressive aura output. Gon can withstand wearing battles, training sessions and runs. Early in the series he can easily keep a steady jogging/running pace after running sixty+ kilometers without a break. Train for hours before reaching exhaustion and even then can push himself more so if needed
Tolerance to Pain | Gon has shown to have a very high pain tolerance. This isn’t due to any training or physical condition but rather his own stubbornness and determination. He’s been able to take having his arm broken by Hanzo, blow off by Bomber and continuing to fight regardless to the pain. He still feels pain, it still really freaking hurts, but he is able to tolerate it to focus on a fight or just sheer willpower of not wanting to lose.
Very Quick Healing | Gon heals extremely quickly. This is not just due to Nen as he’s shown to heal quickly even before learning about Nen. Gon has been seen multiple times healing from injuries that usually take 3-4 months to heal and recovering in just a month to a weeks time. He is not immune to poison, however when being injected with a paralyzing toxin by Geretta that would keep him down for roughly 10 days, Gon was able to shakily stand up directly after (not able to do much mind you but still) and recover roughly in four days time.
Proficient Hand to Hand Combatant | Despite his lack of experience and technique, his unnatural strength, endurance, durability and reflexes make up for most of it. He can put up a good fight in close quarters as seen when fighting Hisoka. The longer and more he fights, the better he adapts and gets. He seems to be naturally talented as he has never trained in a style.

Enhanced Sight/Hearing/Taste/Smell| Gon's vision and hearing exceeds that of a normal human. He can see and fight in the dark, or easily spot people in the woods from the top of a tree. Due to his upbringing in a rural upbringing his taste is fairly acute. Gon's sense of smell is extremely advanced, causing him to be often compared to a dog. He can track someone’s scent from several kilometers away.
Fishing Rod | An unusual weapon that Gon had preferred. He has amazing accuracy with aiming and being able to hook things. He’s strong enough to even pull large concrete tiles from the floor with it or yank around a person. It also can deliver a hard hit if needed be or be used as a sort of grappling hook. On that note; he's a great fishermen.
Gon can also hold his breath for almost 10 minutes.

    'What to do....'
The question just kept invading his thoughts. Whenever he wasn't distracted by his family, helping around the house or being forced to work on his missed homework, the question just kept haunting over him. Like a bad after taste he just couldn't rid himself of. After his phone call to Ging explaining his condition, his father had suggested finding something to do with himself. That wanting more then what he now had was dangerous. Naturally he had found his way back to Whale Island and he was happy with his family but he did want more. Even if wanting more was a bad idea and selfish. He didn't regret giving his all to get rid of Pitou but...to be normal now... He wondered how all his friends were doing. What amazing places Killua and his sister were seeing, how Leorio doctor stuff was going and of course hoping Kurapika was doing okay. Studying math and writing essays was so boring. It wasn't his thing. He needed adventure. He needed his blood racing again!
....What if he ever crossed paths with Hisoka again? Ugh, that alone sent a faint shiver down Gon's spine. If the magician was scary when he was able to use Nen...there was no telling now. Would Hisoka even care to fight him now though?

More thoughts flooded his mind but those words just kept pulsating in his brain. Before pushing himself up to a sitting postion, he let out a frustrated sigh. He had time to figure everything out. He had nothing but time actually. A faint scent makes his nose twitch, its the first thing that hits Gon before he even opens his eyes. The scent of the area is completely different.
Opening his eyes and taking in his surroundings justifies that even more. This...wasn't even Whale Island.

"....When did I?" He breathed, getting to his feet quickly a bit startled. He had laid down in the forest by Mito-san's house and drifted off briefly but now he was in a totally different place. He didn't recognize anything about it either. It was unsettling how he could just appear somewhere so different without even noticing it instantly. Hell, he hadn't even really been that deep in sleep.

Gon stood there dumbfounded for a good few minutes, trying to figure out where he was. Slowly he raised his hands and clapped them swiftly to his face. "Alright!" He perked, a smile pulling at the corner of his lips. He had no idea where he was or how he got there but that was okay! Maybe this was what he needed. What he was looking for. It was a new adventure! With or Without Nen, he was going to figure it out and explore this new world. His smile quickly dissolved into a large confident grin as his hands fell to his sides. He clenched his right hand into a fist before quickly setting off. First thing was first, get a look around!

    History:
Sugame had a fairly average life before being kidnapped by aliens. On that faithful day, he had been walking home from school then aliens suddenly kidnapped him. He doesn't know what exactly happened on that day, however he's very much certain that Joe Hibiki aka Gatchaman G-89 had saved him from the aliens.

"Make sure you save somebody too one day," those were the words Joe had said to him when he cheered him up in the Gatchamen's secret lair.

As fate would have it, or rather J.J Robinson might had heard his thoughts, Sugane became a Gatchaman himself at the age of 14.

Needless to say it wasn't as fulfilling as he had thought out to be. Don't get him wrong, he was all willing to help people out even if said people didn't even knew they were being saved by extraterrestrial beings. However in addition to not being allowed to get his hands in matters outside of the extraterrestrial, he being the only one fighting beings known as MESS? Now, that was frustrating. Though regardless he kept working hard routinely.

That is until, in his 5th year as a Gatchaman, a quirky newbie joins their ranks.

    History: (spoilers below)
character wiki, episode list, Ryousuke's OVA/sidestory: Face + the translated script
Ryousuke grew up in a normal household that nurtured an interest in baseball, with a little brother as his shadow. His younger brother Haruichi would always follow him; if Ryousuke ate his tomatoes, so would Haruichi. If Ryousuke was the second baseman on his team, Haruichi would play the same position, even if it limited his chances to stand on the field. As such, Ryousuke would strive to be the model elder brother, in order to set a good example for Haruichi and ensure his admiration was not misplaced.

Haruichi was a target for bullying as a child, as it was easy to elicit a reaction from the shy boy. Ryousuke would stand up for his brother and confront the bullies himself, returning home covered in dirt and blood.

Four years later, Ryousuke is told by his teacher that the highschool that was willing to accept him on a baseball recommendation had withdrawn their offer, instead giving it to one of the boys that bullied Haruichi, the bigger-bodied Jumbo. The news is a source of frustration for Ryousuke, whose technical skill and plays were pushed to the side in favour of build. Instead, he decides to challenge himself by applying to Seidou Highschool in Tokyo. His parents are surprised, naturally assuming he'd attend school nearby. Ryousuke says it is his "first and last selfish request".

Of course, Ryousuke didn't expect his time at a prestigious school as Seidou to be easy. His cohort (excluding Chris) struggle in practice, and are deemed hopeless. The 'lean year', as they were called. Nevertheless, the first years persist with training, instilling in each other a will to keep swinging their bats, to grow, and eventually become reliable seniors through hard work.

When Haruichi first arrives at Seidou two years later, their brotherly relationship appears somewhat strained. In Ryousuke's third and final year, his talented little brother is still following him, and it's all the way to Tokyo. Ryousuke is quick to remind Haruichi that Seidou isn't as soft as one might think. It's only until the leadup to the Akikawa match does he attempt to bridge the gap between them. Ryousuke offers to help with Haruichi's batting practice, and reminds him to be ready to play in the official match, to the surprise of his fellow third years.

On the path leading to Koshien, Ryousuke manages to injure his right leg during the semifinal match. Kuramochi manages to catch Ryousuke limping despite his best efforts to conceal the injury. When confronted, Ryousuke brushes off the severity, and says he'll concede if his year-long partner believes he will hold the team back. Essentially, Ryousuke leaves his last chance at Koshien entirely in Kuramochi's hands. Kuramochi begins observing Ryousuke more closely in practice, watching with admiration as Ryousuke moves in practice as if he isn't injured at all. It's during the spring tournament final against Inashiro Industrial when cracks begin to show. His leg begins to hold him back, to the point where he misses catching a ball that could have cost them the game, had Kuramochi not been there to stop it. Ryousuke shows his gratitude: "You saved us. Me, and the team".

Finally accepting that he can't play to his best of his ability, Ryousuke requests for a pinch hitter at his next at-bat. The coach sends out Haruichi! Ryousuke encourages his younger brother to smach the first pitch - and of course he manages to deliver, Ryousuke watching proudly from the dugout.

Unfortunately, Seidou still manage to come up short against Inashiro. They ultimately lose the match along with the opportunity to go to Koshien, the Kominato brother's first and last chance to go together. Ryousuke returns back to Seidou to move out of the spirit dorms, officially retired from highschool baseball as their summer was brought to an abrupt end. From then on, Ryousuke is occupied with reference books and practice exams, preparing for university admission. He admits he still hasn't decided on his plans for the future, but manages to find time to swing his bat everyday and check up on the wellbeing of the remaining team. All he knows is that wants to continue to play baseball.

Appearance: The small one on the right, and in colour!
The two most obvious things are his bright pink hair and short stature. Ryousuke is the shortest on his baseball team at 162cm, although he's built slightly more sturdier than his younger brother. His eyes are permanently squinted, and a smile is often gracing his face. He has a gentle appearance that belies his sharp tongue.

    Personality:
Contrasting with his soft appearance, Ryousuke has a devil of a personality. He claims the title of Seidou's Most Feared upperclassman, with the sharp tongue to back it up. If there's an evident lag in performance, he won't hold back on his cutting remarks - complete with a smile! He made an excellent first impression on a first year Kuramochi, outright telling him he sucked. In a way, his conduct reflects the high expectations he has of others, and his will to bring them all up to meet them. Furthermore, he has a tendency to police the behaviour of some of the rowdier players on his team: frequently tag-teaming against Seidou's first year pitcher for his volume, reminding another pitcher on the bench to cheer louder, or forcing the entire team to sit seiza-style due to their unsatisfactory progress. Karate chopping people's heads is kind of his trademark — even if he needs to stand on tip toes to reach his target.

Ryousuke may push those around him, and not always nicely, but there is no one he pushes harder than himself. Both Kuramochi and the coach note Ryousuke's tenacious presence on the field. For someone with an injured leg, he balls hard. The reason why he can speak so bluntly of other's abilities is because he's put in the time and practice to get him to his current level, despite not being blessed with physique. He doesn't believe in making excuses. Before complaining about being born without talent, Ryousuke believes one should reflect on the amount of effort they've put in first. "If you don't want to lose to guys with bigger bodies, you should train just as many times harder", that's his philosophy. Even as a first year, he was gutsy as hell, talking back to his intimidating upperclassman, or boldly asking the coach for more balls when he was clearly exhausted. The baseball team's official scout, Rei, commented that he has the strongest spirit of their year level. There's a lot of confidence packed into his small frame, and it's definitely not unfounded either.

Of course, Ryousuke's playful side can't go unmentioned. Around the first-string team, his cheeky attitude makes its full appearance, rubbing the belly of the food-loving Masuko, or stealing the cap off Tanba's newly shaven head, with a cheerful "you're still shining!" to break the tension during a serious match. One occasion he jokes that he could probably switch places with his brother and no one would suspect, to Tanba's abject horror. Ryousuke's kindnesses are often veiled behind relentless teasing or a snarky jab. Off the field, Ryousuke can be just as stubborn, and almost childishly so. Despite loving Haruichi dearly, he's still prone to getting into normal sibling fights over petty things like sharing a favourite book series. Another amusing moment involves Ryousuke stubbornly continuing to play with a stopwatch, trying to stop it at exactly 5 seconds - he'd probably never quit either, had no one intervened.

Something that characterises Ryousuke is his deep respect and concern for his family. He feels a certain gratitude towards his parents for encouraging his love for baseball, and allowing him to travel so far from home to attend Seidou; he even warned Haruichi to not follow him to Tokyo because it would cause further trouble for their family. Even as a child, Ryousuke believed he had a duty as the eldest son to remain unselfish, well-behaved, and to protect his younger sibling. Haruichi undoubtably means the world to him. At the same time, it's tough having a little brother with such a natural talent for baseball right behind him. Both wanting to watch Haruichi's growth, and his will to not fall behind him, are two almost conflicting desires of Ryousuke's. Even though he tries to dissuade Haruichi from attending the same highschool, he keeps his inner thoughts to himself: "catch up to me if you can". Although he claims being a big brother is a pain, ultimately, Ryousuke can't say no when it comes to Haruichi. Both brothers motivate each other to improve and reach new heights together.

A great deal of what drives Ryousuke is his pride. He can't lose to his little brother, nor can be lose face in front of those important to him. He has always been conscious of his brother at his heels, and works hard to not betray his expectations.

    Abilities:
Ryousuke is an extremely skilled batter, even amongst Seidou's fearsome offensive lineup. It's been noted by both teammates and opponents that Ryou has excellent technical skill, and 'can hit any pitch'. He's also got a good eye (ALTHOUGH YOU NEVER SEE THEM ??), able to follow fast pitches and breaking balls, and can easily distinguish between balls and strikes to get on base.

When it comes to infield defense, together with Kuramochi, Ryousuke makes up one half of Seidou's impenetrable 'Iron Wall'. His position on second base requires a lot of agility, reflexes, and quick-thinking.

Other than baseball, Ryousuke is a perfectly average human being in everything but height.

    GAME OVER

It's printed in big, flashing letters, blatant and obnoxious, effectively the same as painting it on a banner and yelling "YOU LOSE" directly in his face. Ryousuke has to step away from the arcade machine for a moment, giving himself time to recollect himself.

The arcade was outside his usual realm. He'd stepped foot into the establishment and immediately felt out of place amongst the cacophony of noise and colourful lights. Out of the two Kominato brothers, Haruichi was the gaming whiz, and although Ryousuke could be convinced to give it a go, he tended to lose interest fairly quickly. Time spent on video games could otherwise be dedicated to baseball or revisiting one of his favourite horror novels. The friend who brought him along had gone home by now, under the impression Ryousuke had something he needed to finish up first. Little did they know, he'd gone back over to the counter, his smile a little more forced than usual, and asked to purchase another round of tokens.

That is how Ryousuke finds himself bent over an old arcade machine, silently mashing buttons on Super Major League, determined to walk away with at least one win under his belt. This was baseball. He understood baseball. Ryousuke knew how his body should react to the ball, the feeling of transferring power into his bat, having practiced the motions too many times to count. Practice made permanent. So why didn't it translate into the game? It was only a matter of getting the timing right, and controlling the power bar. Video games required fast reaction times and good sense, didn't they? Ryousuke wasn't exactly lacking in those areas. Was it the controls? The arcade machines were fairly worn out from use, it'd be no surprise if the buttons were faulty. The game itself was pretty outdated too, surely the AI couldn't be that advanced, and yet, the fielders kept managing to stop every ball he hit their way. Why was it getting the better of him? Logically, he knew it was just a silly game. A baseball game. Mocking him with that cheerful blare of popular walk-up songs in 8-bit quality. Ryousuke lets out an exhale as the game proceeds to next and final batter. The crudely pixellated pitcher begins his wind-up, and his fingers hover over the buttons, readying his character to swing—

"Excuse me, sir, we're closing up so—"

"Hmm?" Pulling his attention from the screen, he turns to the employee with displeasure ridden all over his expression. His already stormy mood makes a turn for the worse. Better stay indoors folks, today's weather forecast: thunder and lightning in the form of (1) small Ryousuke.

"P-please, enjoy your game!" Appropriately cowed, the arcade employee hastily blurts out a reply and makes his escape, shuffling back behind the counter.

Ryousuke didn't need to be told that twice, already inserting more tokens and letting the game start up once more.

    Let's play ball!

    History: the anime & Shun.
Appearance: Sometimes with glasses, sometimes without.
Personality: Shun is a very stubborn boy. He doesn’t let himself get shoved around or get told what to do without a good reason. Reasons like the one telling him to do something being Hollywood Tokyo’s president. He will do as others says as well, though he’s prone to protest more if it’s not the president. If it’s anyone else he might dig his heels in. Even if he does end up doing the thing he doesn’t want to do, he is likely to complain all the way through. However there are times when he changes his mind and starts to work hard instead. One example of this is complaining about their introduction lines, like pointing out that he’s never been called Shun-Shun in his life, but now he’s supposed to say he’s called that? But he gets over it eventually, after making a complete fool of himself, and now he will perform his introduction without a hitch. He is kind of shy though, and can’t control his face when he gets embarrassed. He will start blushing if he’s feeling awkward.

This is especially true for things concerning idol work. He wants to succeed as an idol and become famous, and he is very honest with that. He is a hard worker, though he might seem lazy at times with his stubbornness and complaining. But when he feels like it he can work really hard and do something until he has nailed it down. He has a lot of pride, especially when it comes to music and idol work. He takes those things very seriously and won’t take anyone making fun of him for it, though at times he might be embarrassed by the things he has to do to make it as an idol.

Shun likes making fun of others, and he enjoys messing with his fellow ShoHari-members. His way of making fun of others can vary between various degrees of hurtful, though most of the time it does nothing but annoy his friends. On the other hand, when others tease or make fun of him, he gets upset or sad, and can end up blowing up at you. This makes him somewhat of a hypocrite, but he doesn’t quite seem to notice. He has a bit of a temper, and it doesn’t take all that much to make him angry with you.

There are times when Shun feels ashamed of what he does as an idol, as his dream isn’t to work as one, but to become famous and sing his own songs in front of a lot of people. But he has overcome this once and is now doing the best that he can and giving all the odd tasks that they have to do with 100%. He’s a bit of a gloomy boy on certain accounts. He isn’t very social in school, as he doesn’t have time for anything else due to his work as an idol, and he assumes the worst in certain situations, like when he and Kira come to the conclusion that Tommy has been kidnapped during their MV shoot at Hawaii (something that happens between season 1 and 2 of the anime). He can have a sharp mouth and be kind of mean when he’s in a bad mood, but most of the time he just sticks to being sarcastic. However, he can be pretty mean to Makki in particular.

Abilities: Nothing supernatural, but he’s good at things to do with music and dancing.
Other: Shun’s real name is Haruki, but it’s literally used twice throughout the entire two seasons of anime and the manga, and it was only revealed at the end of the second season that that was his actual name, hence he is likely to go by Shun most of the time, especially in the samples.

    Characters Name: Kuranosuke Shiraishi
    Age: 15
    Canon: Prince of Tennis
    Canon Point: Original series end
    Species: Human
    Gender: Male
    Orientation:

    History: Thank you, wikia.
    Appearance: Full body, Close up

    Personality:

Shiraishi is a perfectionist. Anything he does he wants to do as flawlessly as possible. If he fails in something, he's not going to stop trying until he can master it or at least do it so he doesn't fail with it. He has a reputation of being flawless in tennis and he doesn't want it to be just about that. He has the brains and the skills to be "perfect" and he's not afraid of trying to achieve it. While knowing perfection is an impossible goal, he still pursues it with a determination. The higher the goal, the more inspired he is.

Due to wanting to succeed in mostly everything, Shiraishi is quite serious and mature for his age. Many people thing that he's already and adult, or that he "has lived his childhood too soon". Shiraishi himself thinks that while he does feel the need to be an adult, he also knows how to have fun. It's just that his fun isn't usually what people would usually think of as fun. While others run off to arcade, he enjoys walks around the nature - while some play video games inside he does yoga. Of course he enjoys spending time with his friends and they bring out the more silly side of him... even if sometimes the same people tend to make him even more serious than he already is.

Studying at Shitenhouji, the school where the one who laughs is the winner, has made him become naturally relaxed and cheerful whenever he doesn't need to be extremely serious. He laughs at jokes when he notices them and jokes himself... though he doesn't really know how to make people laugh. That's why he's trying to improve on joking, but seems to be failing most of the time. The only times someone actually laughs at him are when he's not joking. But he's determined to keep trying... even if some of his teammates think that he should just give up. He also has the ability to laugh at himself whenever it's needed and isn't afraid of "making a fool of himself" as it's sort of a habit at the school.

Sometimes, on the outside Shiraishi seems quite happy and relaxed, but it has a hint of seriousness in it. He doesn't want to spread bad vibes around him, so he seems quite a ray of sunshine, even if in his mind he might be thinking about not so wonderful thoughts. He also hides feelings like worry behind his mask... unless there's really something to worry about. Most of the time he's quite afraid of showing his feelings and usually doesn't react to things as widely as some people. If he has a reason to show worry, sadness, fear or anger - he does. Just not if it's unnecessary and would make the situation worse. If he needs to, he keeps it all inside.

At first Shiraishi didn't really ask for advice and didn't depend on his friends. He took everything on his own shoulders and tried to somehow manage the entire burden alone. It was after Zaizen Hikaru joined the tennis club he realized that if you lack in something, you should ask for help. He wasn't alone as he had his friends to support him. After starting to see this he became a better leader for the team, a leader who supports them, but also lets them do as their please (play their own kind of tennis instead of being stuck in the basics like he is). He also understands others quite well and is able to give brilliant encouragement speeches... and does so even to the opposing team when they seem to have trouble.

Still, Shiraishi can also quite strict. When someone is misbehaving in ways he doesn't approve, he will try to control them and make them obey. That's part of the reason he has his "poison arm", even if it only works on the most gullible types. Though part of the poisonous arm is also because he has a small devilish side, wanting to be released. That's why he sometimes chuckles at people who actually get scared over his arm... which only might make him appear even creepier.

Abilities: He's the bible of tennis, meaning he's memorized all basics of tennis and uses them as his tennis style, which is also known as the "perfect tennis". He's also able to identify over 200 poisonous plants.

Other: He speaks in a Kansai-ben accent.

    SAMPLES;
    First Person:

Previous game thread or a previous game entry too

    Third Person:

After arriving to Holly Heights, Shiraishi hadn't stopped practicing his tennis skills. While there was no tennis team here right now, and he had no intentions to actually start one, he wouldn't have felt right if he had just stopped training. One day he'd go home and when he would, there would be the camp they got invitations to to attend. A camp to determine who would represent Japan. Though it made him wonder if he actually wanted to pursue tennis that bad or was it all just a means to stay in touch with his friends even after separating to different high schools.

Well, regardless of what it was, he'd still continue playing his perfect tennis, so he needed to keep his skills honed. Even while he'd be there, he'd take on any other players with his tennis and move like the guidebooks tell him to. As boring as that was, that wouldn't change even in a completely new place. How sad the thought was. So sad and boring.

Yet even if he tried to make a more acrobatic move to return to ball to the wall, he ended up shifting it to a regular return, all guided by the basics of basics. Even in the place where he didn't have to.

That was the curse of his perfect tennis.

Orientation: Oblivious? Despite the fact most of the school hates his guts, Souma has numerous admirers of all genders - and doesn't even notice. He's surrounded by well-endowed girls, and has seen one naked, and he doesn't react at all (though he does apologize to Megumi for walking in on her in the bath). If I had to go with something I would say straight leaning.

    History: here
    Appearance:

      5'7" of golden-hearted determinator

    Personality:

At first glance, Souma is your typical Shounen Jump protagonist: energetic and determined, with the ability to make friends with just about anyone while also fostering a myriad of rivalries.

While this is not an unfair assessment of what kind of person he is, it's a very basic one. Souma operates on a fairly even keel most of the time, rather than being someone that is 100% hype at all times and situations. Instead, he actually comes off as pretty level-headed if quirky and playful, someone who contains that energy and uses it primarily in the kitchen. It doesn't change the fact that he is pretty friendly, and has an astounding amount of charm that he's largely oblivious to unless he's showboating for customers, and it's this friendliness and charm that attracts people to him. And, rather than turn these people away, Souma embraces them - no matter who they are. If they were previously people who hated him, or looked down their noses at him with doubt, or they're the outcasts of the school, it doesn't matter. Souma welcomes everyone from all walks of life into his own, because he thinks that the variety will teach him more, and will broaden his horizons further.

He also cherishes his friends, no matter their numbers, and wants to help them reach their dreams. This is mostly visible in his interactions with Megumi, but he's more than willing to throw everything on the line to help the people that matter to him most. His playfulness is capitalized with them, and he just enjoys having fun with his friends whenever he can. Even if it means feeding his failed or disgusting experiments to them, just to laugh at their reactions. He teases, every now and then, and is someone that will pick up on nicknames and run with them.

The only times that he ever gets angry, legitimately so, are when the Yukihira name and skill is called into question, which results in him throwing down immediately to prove that they're the best, and when his friends are upset or someone has done something to them. He will literally put his chances at remaining a student at Toutsuki and even his career as a chef on the line if it means he can do right by them - keeping Megumi from being expelled because Koijirou is an uptight jerk who purposefully used poor ingredients to weed out their numbers, getting Takumi's knife back and the knives of everyone that went up against Subaru.

As someone who has had a rivalry with his own father since he was a little kid, Souma embraces rivalries as much as he does friendships. There are some people who see him as their rival (Takumi), but he also has friendly enough rivalries himself (Akira, Ryou) and has every intention of getting to the top of the academy - even if it means using his fellow classmates as stepping stones. This... is something that he actually announces, when he's revealed as the only transfer student to make it through at the start of the year. It causes a lot of animosity to be built up in Toutsuki, although he just lets it roll right off him like water off a duck rather than even acknowledge it. He's literally asked how he managed to accumulate so much hatred and he shrugs about it, as if he doesn't know.

He's... honestly, he can be a little oblivious, and he's smart through experience rather than education. He doesn't know a lot of the terms for things that he's been doing for years, and sometimes needs definitions explained to him or straight up misses the atmosphere of a situation. Not to say he's not observational, but it's just very dependent on what's going on at the moment and who's involved.

But he's confident, and out to prove himself. He's humble in that he knows where he came from and he embraces that, showcases it in all of his cooking alongside his ingenuity, but he's someone that knows his skills and knows how hard he's worked, and what his strengths and weaknesses alike are. He's not afraid to admit when people are better than him, too, and tends to look to them to learn more so that he can grow. He even goes so far as to look at his friends' and opponents' cooking and adopts things from them, too, hoping to strengthen his skills and defeat Erina, and the rest of the Elite Ten.

This, admittedly, takes a lot of guts, but it's something that really drives him. His own father says that his skills come not from natural talent - although that's certainly a part of it - but that his courage is what allows him to persevere the way that he does. Rather than back down from a challenge, he faces them head-on, no matter how strong his opponent is or how steep the difference in skills or his possible lack of knowledge might be. He's someone that will fight to the very end, and won't let anything stop him.

The thing is, though, that Souma takes defeat very hard. At the end of the day - and while he's in front of others - he accepts it fairly humbly, and says that he's learned something from his defeat or the difficulties that he might have faced, and this is true. He takes everything, from victory to loss, to heart and uses it in the future. But when alone, and internally, Souma beats himself up over his losses. It doesn't last for very long, but it shows more depth to him - as someone that so rarely gets upset, and is shown more often than not with a cheerful smile or a challenging grin, this is what really breaks him.

    Abilities:

Despite the fact that Souma comes from a far more humble background than many of his canonmates, he's been cooking in his family's diner since he could hold a knife and a box allowed him to reach the counter. This gives him upwards of eleven years of experience in a kitchen, as well as in a restaurant/business setting. Many of the other students of Toutsuki Culinary Academy cannot say the same, only toting cooking experience rather than anything hands-on with customer input.

This also means he has interpersonal experience, and it leads to him knowing what people might want. This can either mean bringing in a crowd with live cooking, or making a convenient and portable food to take through a shopping district, or even what ingredients to use to draw someone in better.

Truthfully, Souma can thank his father for all of this. Between the fact that it turns out Jouichiro Yukihira is an ex-alumnus of the academy in the top percentile of his class and has explored the world, their family's cooking style is an amalgamation of worldwide cuisine. Even if he might not know the terminology, Souma has stolen/borrowed styles from different cultures and implemented them as his own from very early on. This also goes for his classmates - he takes things that he sees or goes up against in shokugeki or just in day-to-day classes and utilizes it himself. Admittedly it's a lot of trial and error, but there's no one that's more willing to go through a lot of trial and error than Souma. If it means he can perfect his cooking, then he'll do it as many times as it will take. He's not afraid of experimenting or trying to come up with innovative ways of cooking, either.

... unfortunately, he has a habit of feeding his failed experiments to his friends. Where his good food is so good it'll blow your clothes off and give you such vivid images on a metaphysical level, his bad food is kind of. Traumatizing, to be honest.

    SAMPLES;
    First Person:

[ When Souma appears on the network, it's with a wide grin directed at the camera and in the middle of his new kitchen. If he's bothered about being kidnapped somewhere, he doesn't look like it, and instead stands there with his fists on his hips looking kind of satisfied with himself. ]

All right! So, I'm not quite sure what's going on, but I figure this is just another chance to learn something, right? Nothing wrong with making the best of a bad situation, or something like that.

[ He reaches out, grabbing one of the kitchen knives from the knife block on the counter, giving it an expert spin. ]

Now, here's your chance to get some free food. There's no better way to break in a new kitchen than to make food for other people, especially in a new place like this, and I figure it's a good way to meet whoever else is here with me. [ And this is where Souma points the knife at the camera. ]

Let me know what your favorite food is, everyone, and I'll serve it up for you, Yukihira style! If you can't pick, then just tell me whatever comes to mind and I'll make it all.

    Third Person:

When morning comes around, Souma has to carefully slip out of Marui's room without waking up any of his other dormmates that decided to crash in there after their celebrations. Those that had participated in the Elections had all done better than they expected, and had exceeded the expectations of those around them, and Aoki and Sato had really gone all out on the celebrations.

But now that it's quiet, and everyone else is still asleep, he figures it's a perfect chance to head to the Polar Star kitchens. Sure, he'd tied for second place with Kurokiba, but if he can get a better understanding of what was wrong, what he could've done better, then he's going to take the chance to before everyone else wakes up.

Especially since he never knows what's going to come up next, unlike the people who've been going to Toutsuki since junior high. They might know what the annual events of the academy are, but Souma is clueless and doesn't really tend to think about it that often. Sure, he's excited when he finds out about them and someone explains what's going to happen, but he doesn't concern himself with it so much as just consider it all another step to the top.

"I could probably make breakfast curry." He considers the pantry absently, one hand on his hip and the other at his chin. Yeah, it would be a good experiment while also giving his dormmates something to wake up to when they inevitably catch the scent of food cooking. It's the least he can do, he figures, so there's no harm in doing it.

With a grin, Souma reaches out, starting to pull all of the ingredients he wants to experiment with. If it fails, well - he'll learn from it, and it'll result in a pretty funny reaction when he feeds it to everyone.

If they think it tastes good, then it'll just be another success to teach him what to do right.

Orientation: He’s from an otome game /anime and tries to be very manly, so naturally he’d have a preference for girls (Haruka mostly). HOWEVER, as an idol he’s not allowed to date anyone. Also, he is very close with Natsuki (even if he can be found mostly fighting or yelling at him) He has affection to the older man and didn’t even question or dismiss Natsuki’s “love confession”. Honestly he questioned his sudden attraction to Haruka more…

In the end I’m saying he probably doesn’t mind guys even if he prefers girls since he’s not allowed either way. Bisexual is shorter and so much easier than everything else I’m saying...

    History:
    Wikia link
    Wiki link

Appearance: Full Body & Face shot

    Personality:

Kurusu Syo is one of the members of STARISH, a Japanese idol band of rainbow-colored boys. Our dear Syo is the pink-themed one (in place of violet, rainbow-wise). Although he is small in stature, standing at a whooping 5'3, weighing 115 pounds like a true Japanese idol, he makes up for it in personality. Syo is loud, assertive and, in a word, manly. He loves action movies and nerding out about fight scenes. Ask him about any episode or movie from his favorite series Prince of Fighting and he'll be able to recite it back to you line for line, blow for blow. He pretty much embodies manly passion.

As an idol, his charm is how he looks small and cute but is in actuality very strong and manly. If you were that short and constantly plagued by a life-long best friend who's passionate about cute things? You'd fight for your manliness too. Sometimes he can get fairly excitable and yell and make fun faces to match his mood. He's probably the one who emotes the most out of the rainbow stars. This sort of makes him the kind of person to wear his heart on his sleeve. You'll never be left guessing how he feels about any situation with how upfront he is. If he has opinions about a project or something that's happening where he can see it, you'll always know what it is-- usually will know what it is.

An idol has to be more than talented. Syo is kind and always willing to help his friends with whatever they need. It doesn't matter the kind of help that's needed. Just as he knows they'll always be there for him, he'll be there for them. Even if the kind of help requires him to put his life on the line to put glasses back on a mad man? He'll hate how his life has led him to this moment and do the right thing regardless. He's also quite fashionable. It may seem like a small thing, but the way an idol presents himself to the world is also important. Given the fact he's more than comfortable with painting his nails, wearing earrings, and adoring himself in cool clothes and nice looking accessories of all kinds? It can be said that Syo always does his best to look his best. Sometimes this means that he looks really cute in girl's clothing to the point he can land movie roles in female roles, but he would rather ignore that those things ever happen.

Aside from his usually up front personality, it's also sometimes hard for him to be up front with his, for lack of better word, "dere" moments. It's attributed to is "strong, manly personality traits". Sometimes it's the easiest thing in the world to blurt out his opinions loudly. Other times, when his heart is at risk of being exposed, or he's confused, he'll stumble over words and be openly unsure of himself. He'll own up to it in time, but sometimes it will take a moment or two, or more if Natsuki is concerned. Despite being the one in the group he feels closest to, it can be said that he probably has the most trouble talking to him at times, or running from him to avoid a situation... as the case sometimes is.

Syo's loud energy doesn't only fall in his manly tsun personality. He has a couple of bad habits too. For one, his explosive anger is something he has a very bad handle on. It's as easy as making a comment on his height or how 'cute' he is and the direct path to his anger is open. Always prone to yelling and disbelief, sometimes it can be hard to get through to him (he's also the second youngest of the group, so his stubbornness is attributed to immaturity at times too). He's not too happy with people doting and treating him like an invalid. Syo was very frail and sickly growing up, so that sort of attitude towards him always ticks him off, unless it's from his twin brother. Then he's just being annoying as usual.

In closing, he's going to be mad. He's going to be loud. He's going to be cute, and that's going to make him even madder and louder.

Abilities: As an idol, his singing, dancing, modeling, and acting abilities are top notch. Syo is also known for his athleticism which allows him to do his own stunts, fight scenes, and all sorts of flips for jobs and shows. Let’s also not forget how he seems to pride himself in his fashion sense. Syo’s instrument that he’s good at is the violin, having competed many times when he was younger.

[The feed cuts on to Syo’s angry face. Nothing out of the norm here. His teeth are bare, brows knit, and his well-manicured hands are holding the papers from the door. It looks like someone hasn’t gone inside yet in favor of finding out why things were happening.]

I WAS BUSY! JUST A COUPLE OF MOMENTS MORE AND WE WOULD HAVE WON!

[He goes on groaning and growling, shouting to himself and the listeners of the feed as he moves away from his phone’s camera, waving the papers around like a dangerous weapon.]

No, I don’t want to talk about that. I want to talk about THIS! What am I doing here? Why does everything look the same?! I appreciate the house and car for whatever reason but no thanks. It’s kind of a really important moment right now. If someone could point me in the direction of an airport that would be great?

[Syo takes a couple of moment to breathe deep breaths, shoulders dropping, head drooping. Slowly the state of things might be setting in, but he’s not on the road to accepting it juuuuust yet.]

Natsuki isn’t here is he? [He just wants to be mad without the threat of Piyo. that’s all he wants]

    Third Person:

The sight of the sky was wrong. He should have seen the dorm he shared with Ai and Natsuki. Picking his head up off the chair he was sitting in, he took a look around, confused and a bit upset. This wasn't the master course mansion at all. His head felt fuzzy, eyes wincing as he tried to remember the last thing. Wasn't it the appearance of HEAVENS right before they were going to beat the pants off their seniors? What was this ... subdivision?

Getting off of the chair entirely to stand up, he straightened his hat and clothes-- pausing when he saw the keys in his hand. Turning them over curiously in his palm, they weren't familiar, nor were the keys he usually had. The sight around him took his attention again. It was bugging him the first time, but now he knew what it was.

"Every house looks the same...," he said, sounding more than a little put-off. So was a guy who liked to stand out and display his individuality. The cookie-cutter lifestyle was just not for him. Couldn't they make the car pink? You know, not that he's accepting any of this! His irritation was growing too much to accept anything he was looking at. The color of the car was just an aside adding to everything else.

His eye went to the home behind him and the house number. It was the same as the keys in his hand, wasn't it? His brows knitted. All he wanted was to find who was responsible for all of this and yell at them. That was all he needed to feel better, aside from all of this getting fixed.

"HEY, IS ANYONE--," he stopped as he approached the door, staring at the packet attached to the door. Grumbling, he ripped them down, opening the envelope and tearing through the papers while spitting his irritations under his breath. Well, this was surprising. If he was reading these right, this house and everything was his. The keys kind of tipped him off, but now he knew for sure (suddenly the car color was a bigger issue, but one for later.). At least now he knows where his cellphone went. Thank god for small favors.

He was ignoring the card for his phone for now. Time to go through his contacts and see if anyone he knows can tell him what is happening around here.

Age: ~40s?? Old enough to have a 14-year old daugther.
    Canon: 1bitHeart
    Canon Point: Post-Chapter XXX
    Species: Human
    Gender: Male
Orientation: Probably mostly straight. I don't think him being attracted to men is out of the question, but as far as things I have proof for, he definitely reproduced with a woman once.

History: Toukai's a really minor character so this is going to be kind of spotty.

Things we know: at this canon point, the year is 2230. Toukai is a police chief - he hasn't done a direct investigation for a long time. He has a 14-year old daughter named Misane, who is his apprentice. (Her mother is never mentioned.) There's this 22-year old guy named Nanashi who's spending way too much time with Misane and Toukai hates his guts.

Most of the game takes place in the past, in year 2222, after Misane time travels back 8 years. Toukai is not around for this.

During Chapter XXX, back in 2230, Toukai and Misane board a ship with Nanashi in order to travel overseas. A murder occurs, and while Toukai initially takes control of the murder investigation, Misane takes over after asking for more practice. Misane solves the case, and Toukai's closing appearance is yelling at Nanashi for being in Misane's room.

    That's it. That's what I got.
    Appearance:
Personality: Initial impressions of Toukai would probably be that he's serious-minded, maybe a bit too serious. This is on the money. Toukai takes matters with the importance they're due: as a police chief, it's his job to worry about things like security and safety, and not to slack off. Even when not on the job, Toukai doesn't do well with 'frivolous' people, particularly adults who ought to know better. They're people he doesn't understand very well, and when he doesn't understand someone he doesn't trust them... though, the fact that said frivolous adult has a close relationship with his young daughter doesn't help.

Toukai is protective. Almost certainly overprotective. He loves his daughter, but he worries when she: oversleeps, talks to an adult man too often, has said adult man in her room, tries to do a murder investigation herself. Some of this can be explained by her being fourteen, when it's still somewhat normal for him to try to veto who she spends her time with, but it's clear that her safety is always his number one concern, and for her safety he would probably actually throw a man overboard - that wasn't just an empty threat. Threatening Misane is the best way to raise his temper.

Toukai has a bad temper. He yells with entirely too many exclamation points. People he dislikes can bring him from zero to pissed off within seconds, and it takes him a bit to work himself back down. He's not afraid to threaten people if they're someone he doesn't like, and that's if he's relatively calm at the moment. The second easiest way to raise his temper is to call him 'dad' if you have an inappropriate relationship with his daughter.

Generally, however, when dealing with civilians or people who haven't given him reason to dislike them, Toukai is polite. Not so polite that he can't get his job done, but he's courteous to people who aren't known criminals or Nanashi. He doesn't throw his title around as an excuse to be rude.

Basically: if you're not messing with his daughter, you'll encounter a serious, work-minded police chief. If you are: you're going to run into overprotective dad mode, and you may want to invest in earplugs.
Abilities: He's a normal human who's pretty good at detective-ing - his intuition is extremely good as well. If he has an unexplained bad feeling, it's likely that something bad will happen. He's also got sharp hearing, presumably within normal human levels. And he's able to shout using six exclamation points.
Other: why am I applying for such a minor character

    SAMPLES;
    First Person: Dear Player post!

Third Person: Toukai did not get where he is in life today by being easily relaxed into complacency. Sure, this town might not look dangerous, but there was the fact that he'd clearly been kidnapped overnight that overruled all harmless appearances and put him on his guard. He'd have to talk to the 'landlord' as soon as possible and likely arrest him - though where he would bring him to after he was in handcuffs was another matter entirely.

Even if he was supposed to relax and enjoy his family life, there was no way he could do that without Misane. If she wasn't here, she was at home, trying to discover what had happened to him with only Nanashi for support! No adult was less reliable when it came to taking care of his daughter. He couldn't allow that!

Then again, if she was here, then she'd been kidnapped as well, and he didn't like that either... Which was worse? Hard to say. He'd have to deal with whichever circumstances he was in.

First things first: conduct an investigation. The other kidnapping victims might know more about their circumstances, or at least he would be able to learn something from what traits they had in common.

    Personality:
Hajime is a eccentric teenage girl with a big obsession for stationary and collage. Give her anything paper-craft related and she's more then happy then to spend time making cute and colorful things. Obviously she loves cute things too! Be it things or people (Yes, that means you Utsu-tsu!) She is very easy-going and seems to go by the beat of her own drum. While she can listen to and follow orders, it is hard for her to not get distracted by her own ideas/ideals. She has a tendency to think outside of the box and is known for her extremely positive outlook on life. There's really nothing that can get her down! Speeding car almost hitting her? Well maybe there's a pregnant lady in labor or someone is really sick and needs to get the hospital ASAP. A dangerous alien is making people go missing? Well obviously they can not communicate well and need to be reach out to! While she adores being a Gatchaman and has the power to take down anyone that seem like bad news, she'd rather see what they're about. Even it if means going against orders, putting herself in danger and completely throwing off her teammates. She always puts her best foot forward and really means well. She puts her heart into most things she does. She is a relentlessly cheerful girl who plows through life determined to make the most of every moment. She believes in others and for anyone that does have nasty things to say to her....Well that’s fine too! Hajime has no problem walking away or turning off her phone if so. It’s really not a hard thing to do!

Hajime can be very loud and isn't shy to express herself fully. In fact she is very quirky and mobile. She can come off as almost obnoxious because she loves to sing as she does things and make nonsense noises to herself. She almost seems to never stand still. Be it twirling or doing her favorite peace-sign/scissors motion. She is just overall a very up-beat and an animated teen with seemingly limitless energy. Most of what she says almost seems to come out of nowhere but the more someone gets to know her, the more clear it is that she is really not as dumb as she acts or looks. She is actually extremely perceptive! Hajime will often pick up on things other people don't. Hajime is just good at seeing people for how they really are. She can get a feel for what someone is like. Within a day or so of meeting Sugane she comments how he's like his sword : “straight as an arrow and stubborn” that he looks straight ahead and walks straight but that he misses seeing a lot of things. She doesn’t mean to insult her senpai, but Hajime is a pretty honest person. She voices her opinion and thoughts regardless of how another person may react.

She's extremely friendly and isn't hesitant to greet or talk to anyone. Social ranking and positions mean little to nothing to her. Be it the Mayor of the town, a dangerous alien or JJ ( the one that gave her her powers and the others see as a god). Everyone is free game! She'll walk right up and talk casually like you’re a good pal. She loves being around friends, making friends and just all in all having a good time!

Even with those that don’t seem like a good idea to befriend or able to be stopped. With Katze, Hajime states she won't kill him and even offers to have a date together. When it comes to talking to everyone else about the Gatchaman and Katze, she instantly admits to the world that while she’s not sure if they'll win against him, they will do their very best!
After taking Berg-Katze inside her, Hajime is still the same as always. Even with all his nagging and negative name calling, she remains the same up-beat Hajime. He hasn't been able to change her and is more or less just a loud-foul-mouth roommate that she often tells to shut up~!
Though with her arrival she will be without Berg-Katze (Im assuming since he’s an appable char). This won't really change anything for her other then wondering how he's doing and thinking he's lonely yelling to himself somewhere.

Over all, Hajime wants everyone to be happy. She'd love if the world could get together like her collage group and enjoy each other's company. Hajime will cheer you on and help you whenever. If it costs the shirt off her back, then by all means! When the 'atmosphere' changed in Insight where the people wanted to be rid of Gel Sadra, she came up with a plan to get others to realize how they're being. This plan almost cost her life as she makes herself (thanks to Katze) look like Gel Sadra and plan out an attacked by her fellow teammates. She is self-sacrificing but at the same time states without a shadow of doubt that she won't die! While the unwavering stubborn optimism makes her seem naive she really isn't and just sees the bigger picture of things!
In O.D.'s words, Hajime is the shining sun of Gatchaman Team.

    Abilities:
Without her NOTE, Hajime is a normal teenage girl. She does have a knack for collage and if given a pair of scissors she can skillfully make a number of cute things for paper and such. She is also pretty good at origami even making a bow out of the end of a piece of her skirt.

Hajime is a Gatchaman! Her NOTE is pretty much the source of this power as it is pretty much her soul extracted from her body thanks to JJ. The NOTE reflects her interests and gives her the abilty to trasform into G-101 Gatchaman. Its a very girly looking armor to which she is now faster and stronger. She has access to a ray of abilities that all seem to follow along the lines of colorful bullets, gaint scissors, smaller scisssors that can be uses as throwing daggers, wings for flight and roller blades! She is also somehow able to get colorful masking tape strong enough to hold down Gatchaman Sugane. How cool!

With her NOTE it can be used as a way to contact all other Gatchaman. It can be written in, drawn in and even make voice calls telepathically almost. She can use "Amneisa Effect" which all other Gatchaman can use. This lets Gatchaman go invisible and no one but other Gatchaman can see them. They are invisible but if they touch anyone the person will still feel them. It can be revert with Amnesia Rewind.

Also with NOTEs being the soul of their holder, this is a very big Achilles heel. If it gets damaged it is extremely dangerous and causes massive damage to the owner. This can be pulled from her suit as well.

    I'm so Egg-cited !

    Third Person:

Hajime shifted slowly in the lawn chair, her pale brown eyes slowly fluttering open to be greeted with bright sunlight. She felt sore and stiff as if she had been hit by a truck. But at the same time, she felt really well rested. Utsu-tsu and everyone were probably behind the reason she was in such good shape.

"Wow...what a great sleep..." She mumbled to herself as she raised her arms over her head and stretched. "I don't think I've ever slept that good..."

Looking around finally, she noticed the place was....new. She wasn't in the Gatchaman hang out nor anywhere in town she recognized. Slowly sitting up, she looked around her. Her head turning this way and that as she tried to take in everything around her. It was a cute but plain neighborhood! There really was no telling where she was! Maybe...
Its not a moment later that she stops and reaches to her right cheek to give it a decent pinch and pulling.

"....Oww!" She winches, rubbing the spot a moment later. "Well, I'm not dreaming... What a quiet looking place. I wonder where everyone ran off to? Hey Katze-san..." Hajime glances down to her chest. "Katze-sannnnn! Good morning~! Wake up!" She calls in a sing-song voice as she practically groping herself not really paying any mind to anyone that maybe around.
    No answer.
There's no one calling her an annoying bitch or anything. There's no response at all.
No come to think of it, she couldn't even really 'feel' him.
How strange... She was actually all alone. How could that happen? Maybe everyone managed to somehow knock him out of her during their 'fight'. That wouldn't due! Ah! Speaking of, how did that turn out?

Jumping up from the lawn chair she stretches again before doing a twirl. Everything seems to be working! A little soreness here and there but nothing that can keep Hajime Ichinose down! She grins striking an all too familiar pose as she put her arm over her chest.

"Okay! Gatchaman Hajime is back in action!"

History: Wikia Episode Page | Character wikia page | Wikipedia page | Wikipedia episode list
    Appearance: Character design | work outfit | G-suit 1 | G-suit 2

    Personality:
Joe is an aloof guy, keeping to himself. Even among the G-members, Joe is one of the more quiet members, not speaking up until it's necessary to voice his opinions and even with that he has Namikawa Daisuke voice trait rarely raises his voice. He not as quiet as Utsutsu, though, where she only speaks in short phrases. If it weren't for his general wild-look appearance he takes on outside of work, it would be fairly difficult to notice that he is around because he sits in the back listening most of the time. This doesn't mean he's shy; he can be rude when he wants to.

Joe is fairly smart. He obviously doesn't know everything that goes around, but he works efficiently to get whatever that's in front of him resolved quickly. In the first season, he's shown to leave work around lunch break because he would finish all of the tasks he's given for the day around then. Joe is the one who helped out Gelsadra and Tsubasa to be elected the next mayor for them to achieve unifying everyone's thoughts and stop any kind of violence. While he may not have the creative mind Hajime has (which possibly may have prevented the entire chaos that happens in Insight), he speaks his mind clearly and concisely with the knowledge he has to bring a point across with ease.

Unlike most of the G-members, Joe's perspective leans towards being pessimistic than optimistic. While his pessimism and cynical behavior isn't as strong as in the first season, where he was disappointed himself of how he wasn't good enough compared to individuals out in the world where they had skills that surpassed his, it's still clear he's still distrusting towards the general public. This becomes clear during the G-members' discussion regarding Rizumu's intention with the terrorist attacks. Compared to Rui, who held an optimistic view towards humankind using the Crowds ability, Joe had taken up on the side with Rizumu trying to get rid of Crowds, stating that the power is too early for humankind to use. Regardless of all this though, Joe still has an optimistic part in him, where he dreams of achieving World Peace.

His rarer, hotheaded side comes out occasionally, especially when it comes to self destructive actions such as facing against deadly foes. You witness Joe facing head on against Berg-Katze and Gelsadra on his own despite being warned that he has no chance of winning against them in both seasons. The reason for fighting the opponents are drastically different between the two seasons, with season one being prone to completely disregarding his safety while in season two, it is merely an attempt to prevent the situation from becoming worse. Of course, in both situations, Joe is beaten, with against Katze he's almost killed in the fight, while against Gelsadra, he's saved by Sugane stepping into take the blow.

Joe isn't ignorant of how society views on outer appearances; he dresses himself up when necessary (socializing event, when being at the workplace) to fit the government officer position he held in season one with his hair tied, collared shirt and having glasses on. To fit with his appearance, his speech pattern becomes more refined, as well as being more sociable, than the appearance he takes outside of work environment. This goes a step further when he's seen trying to quit smoking during the first half of Insight, to give a better public view of being the mayor's secretary. At times, it seems like he knows how cool he is as a Gatchaman.

It's difficult to get past the thick front of him being an aloof while somewhat of a nice guy, but once you do you realize he's not as kind as he shows himself to be. Sugane knows this firsthand, where he's been the target of countless teasing and being made fun of. It's a means of showing affection to those he deems to be particularly close to. He pulls little pranks, steps into your personal space to see what you're doing, makes fun of your attempts instead of complimenting it (as with taking Sugane's simple collage during a bus trip)... the list goes on. He's a little shit deep inside, but he doesn't let that show to anyone that easily.

    IC INFORMATION;
    Characters Name: Rinko Yamato
    Age: 15
    Canon: Ore Monogatari
Canon Point: Right after the last episode, after Takeo starts calling her by her given name.
    Species: Human
    Gender: Female
Orientation: Heterosexual! But most specifically for Takeo Gouda, she loves him SO MUCH.

History: Here she is on the wiki and here is the episode summaries.
Appearance: LOOK AT HER she’s so cute.
Personality: The most prominent part of Rinko’s personality is the fact that she is very sweet, very caring, and very concerned about other people in general. She is a bright sort of person who makes friends easily and goes out of her way to do things for the people she cares about because she cares about them. You can see this in the way she treats her boyfriend, Takeo, but also in the way she goes all out to let her friends spend time with her and do nice things for Suna as well. She likes to do things for other people and that’s what makes her such a likable person in general.

With that in mind, Rinko takes a lot of stock in herself based on what other people see in her. She had a tendency to be very self-deprecating and not really see all of the good qualities in herself that others do, so she will differ to their judgement of her in the long run, even if she doesn’t really agree with it. For example, she really feels like she’s good at baking whenever Takeo praises her cakes and she doesn’t really see herself as a good person until he assures her that she is, even after learning about everything she did in order to meet him.

Rinko takes pride in working hard at anything that she does, so she spends time studying to make sure her grades stay up and she goes out of her way to do her baking all by hand, rather than using electronic utensils that would make things like mixing the ingredients easier. There is a certain sense of satisfaction that comes from working hard to accomplish your goals and Rinko loves that feeling very much. It’s part of the reason that she is a lot stronger than she looks, too, because she works hard in the kitchen and that has given her some decent muscles!

While Rinko is not a very athletic person, she is always willing to give new things a try, especially when Takeo is involved. So not only is she a hard worker, but she also likes to try new things and broaden her horizons whenever she has the opportunity to. Additionally, she is the sort of person who can only see the good in people. She does not see Takeo’s terrifying presence or Suna’s sarcastic attitude, she only sees what makes them good people and tries very hard to convey that information to others around her.

On top of everything, Rinko is actually a very emotional person. She is quick to smiles and tears and laughter. She wears her emotions on her face, so it’s always easy to tell when she’s worried or upset or truly delighted at something. This further helps to make her a very accessible person and easy to befriend. She also tends to be blunt about what she thinks of someone or something, blatantly stating how cool or wonderful something is without any hesitation.
Abilities: Rinko has absolutely no supernatural abilities. HOWEVER, she is a very good student and she is an excellent baker and loves to make all sorts of sweets. She is also quite good at regular kinds of cooking, but her preferences lie with baking!

    Third Person:
It’s one thing to suddenly find yourself in a strange place that looks nothing like where you were just a few minutes ago, but it’s something else entirely to be looking through the cell phone you found in your pocket frantically and realize that you can’t find your boyfriend’s name anywhere in the contacts - let alone anyone else that you know. This was, of course, the very first thing that Rinko did upon finding herself in an unfamiliar area. The beeping of her phone grows quicker and more intense with each passing moment as she searches through the names again and again until finally she drops her arms down and hangs her head.

“Ahhhhhh! He’s not here!! Why… why isn’t he here?? Did I lose his number??” The tone of her voice makes it obvious that she is on the verge of tears as she speaks, to no one in particular.

After a few moments of sniffling, though, Rinko wipes viciously at her eyes and raises her head, clenching a fist and looking as determined as she can muster. “Okay! Takeo-kun has to be here somewhere, so all I have to do is find him! There’s no point in crying. I can do this!”

She gets to her feet with a bounce, wipes her eyes one more time, and tucks her phone in her pocket. Alright! It’s time to do some looking around! Hopefully she’ll be able to find something or someone that will lead her to Takeo-kun...

    Characters Name: Arakita Yasutomo
    Age: 18
    Canon: Yowamushi Pedal
Canon Point: Day 3 of InterHigh
    Species: Human
    Gender: cis male
Orientation: Orientation is never expressly provided in canon, but I believe Arakita would be pansexual, not really caring about the gender of his partner. He'd rather be with someone he respects and genuinely cares about.

History: Learn about this poor boy's past here!
Appearance: Hakone Academy cycling jersey | Hakone Academy uniform

Personality: From the outside, Arakita seems to be a foul-mouthed, rude and aggressive teenager that doesn’t care what anyone thinks. That’s not too far off unless you get to know the punk better. Arakita tends to be aggressive towards those he doesn’t like, and before he had a “purpose” (cycling), he just didn’t care about anything. During his first year before he joined Hakone’s cycling team, he first meets Fukutomi by picking a fight, calling him “stone face”, kicking over his bike and pouring out his pocari. After losing a race to Fukutomi (moped vs. road racer), his personality shifts slightly because he once again has found a purpose since his elbow injury that caused him to stop playing baseball in middle school.
Once he joined the team, the rudeness, recklessness and disregard for social graces remained mostly the same. Greeting any of his teammates, especially when he first joined the team, was always accompanied with rude expletives and nicknames. If he doesn’t respect someone, he’s straightforward and will make that clear through the similar methods, albeit more aggressively. During practice or racing, Arakita will constantly complain about anything and everything. However, Hakone is known for being the country’s top cycling team, which means he had to fight and work hard to get onto the team. Fukutomi notices that Arakita would work harder than anyone else in order to catch up during his first year, and he put everything into his riding. His style of riding reflects a lot about Arakita; it’s reckless, fast, wild and aggressive.
But Arakita falls under the trope of having a hidden heart of gold despite his tough exterior. Despite being blunt towards others, he’s supportive towards his other teammates and those he respects. He’ll help the team by pulling others no matter what, follow orders that he’s given and support his teammates (even if it’s through yelling) to not quit the team. Even if he complains about it, he finds a way to be there for others he cares about. Even though he seems tough, he actually has low self-esteem, which is apparent before he meets Fukutomi. He had no friends, didn't care about his future or what happened to him down the road. Cycling gave him purpose again to play as a supportive role in the team, such as pulling for others and being the ace’s assistant. Arakita could be considered humble. Even though he’s on the best team in the country, and has an important role on the team, he doesn’t let it get to his head. He’ll be aggressive while racing others, but he never boasts about his position. Arakita’s determination, even if it comes off as abrasive, is one of his strongest traits. When he finds a goal or purpose, there’s nothing stopping him from achieving it.
Even with all the challenges he's faced in his past, he’s learned from it and has grown, and is still growing. He’s faced many obstacles, but through his determination and dedication to his team, he’s become a force to be reckoned with in the cycling world. He may still be an abrasive, crass teenager, but through cycling, he gained things he never thought he could have: purpose and friends.

Abilities: Arakita can ride at dangerous angles, even leaning over far enough to brush against the guardrail that runs along the road and his pedals hitting against the ground. He may just seem to be disregarding his safety, but this riding style is a testament to his skill.

    First Person:
    What the fuck!?
[The camera feed displays a disgruntled looking teenager with his lips curled back and teeth bared, almost like a wild, deranged dog. His black hair is dishevled, and he looks rather frantic.]

Look, I don’t give a shit about this stupid house! Where the hell am I?! Where the fuck is everyone else, haah?!?

[The teenager’s voice is getting progressively louder and more aggressive with each sentence. It’s obvious that he just arrived and has no idea what’s going on. Maybe the webcam would help him find his teammates, if they were around, or someone who knew what was going on.]

Fuku-chan!? Shinkai!? Tch- I’d even take Toudou at this point. Where the hell is everyone!?

    Third Person:
The sun warmed his face, and Arakita slowly started to wake up. How the hell did he fall asleep outside? The last thing he remembered was InterHigh. There’s no way he passed out, right? He remembered falling behind, and there was this look of horror on Shinkai’s face. Maybe he really did pass out…

But that didn’t explain why the hell he was sunbathing out on a damn lawn.

Arakita shot up in the chair, blinking hard to make sure this wasn’t some sort of weird fever dream. This wasn’t a medical tent at all. He was in front of some strange house, and in his hand was a set of keys he doesn’t remember happening. Where the hell was his bike? Where the hell was his team? With his brows furrowed, Arakita gripped the keys firmly and headed towards the house. His clenched fist clashed against the door, pounding on it to get someone’s attention.

    “Open the fuck up-!”

An envelop fell to the ground by his cleats, and he glanced down, squinting down at the name on the front. It was his name.

“What the fuck… What the shit is going on around here...”

    OTHER;
Housing Request?: Either with Manami Sangaku or Izumida Touichirou! I’d prefer if he could stay with at least one of his teammates if they're okay with that!

Rin Kobayashi | Please Save My Earth | Not Reserved 2/2

    [personal profile] crescentmoonbed 2015-10-08 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
    IC INFORMATION;
    Characters Name: Rin Kobayashi.
    Age: 7
    Canon: Please Save My Earth
Canon Point: After his escape from the hospital following his injury in the battle at Renmyou Temple. (Very shortly after the OAV ends)
    Species: Human, reincarnated alien colonist.
    Gender: Male
Orientation: Heterosexual. Since he's seven I doubt it will come up, but he's very much attracted to women generally and Alice specifically. Shion was involved exclusively with women in his past life.

History: The history of Rin Kobayashi is relatively simple. He's a seven-year-old boy in elementary school with a mother who dotes on him when the series starts in 1991. He's sheltered and a bit of a brat who likes to tease the teenaged girl who lives next door to him. But after an accidental fall from a fifteen-story building and the subsequent coma he is subjected to, he changes. He recalls memories from a past life, wherein he was a war orphan named Zai Tess Shi On, (nicknamed Shion.) Shion's memories overcome him. More details here. (link cw for rape mention)

Appearance: A precious small child. Beautiful 90's fashion baby. Also sometimes murderous. He really wants to do a murder.

Personality: In public, Rin appears to be a very precocious child. Smart and private, quick to cry if it gets him what he wants, but unfailingly polite. More or less the perfect child. But inside, he lives a tumultuous life. His personality has been incompletely subsumed by the memories and rages of a past life. Shion's adult hatreds, loves, and pain overwhelm him. The fact that he is 9 years younger than the rest of his reincarnated compatriots tears him apart. He's a child in love with a high school girl, and he despairs of ever possibly being able to love her. This leads to a silent hatred of being treated like a child. He pastes a smile on his face, but inwardly stews. Though he may seem to be simply an adult in a child's body who must pretend to be a child for convenience, the fact of the matter is that he still processes things like a child, and sees everything with black and white morality. Good things are purely good, bad things are purely bad, and he has absolute knowledge of which is which.

He lives life very immediately, though his mind is always full of ways to manipulate the situation and gain control. His driving motivation is to survive, though he does have a notion of what makes life worth living, and that's what he attempts to attain by manipulation. The life of a war orphan that he's lived through in dreams has given him little hope for the inherent good of any given person, and he often sees kindness as pity. For that reason, he keeps everyone at arm's length, and never consults people for help or advice. Overwhelming emotion is also weakness, and therefore it's translated into action almost immediately. He's capable of intense anger and rage for that reason, and he thinks very little of hurting anyone who might get in his way. More than anything else, he hates being helpless, and will fight tooth and nail to keep people from seeing him vulnerable. This leads him to behave in some very incongruously adult ways, and his instinctual reactions are often revealing of the hidden depths within. For instance, he refuses to cry in front of others and is unable to express genuine excitement or happiness.

He does have hobbies. He enjoys reading manga, and sometimes writes poetry. He's technically an accredited engineer of alien technology, and if given leave to act as he wishes, he would probably begin taking things apart and putting them back together. He loves his mother, who dotes on him but also seems suspicious and worried of the changes that have come over him. In fact, just before his canon point, his mother had a breakdown that resulted in her screaming at him that he wasn't her son and that she wants her son back. The shock at how much he has changed in his doting and beloved mother's eyes is so great that he flees, despite grievous injuries that are exacerbated by his use of his psychic power.

At this point, one of the greatest things that occupies his mind is love. His childish crush on Alice Sakaguchi, his neighbor, has been transformed as he remembers his past life as Shion and recognizes the reincarnation of Shion's love, Mokuren, in Alice. Distance from her and from the influence of the other reincarnates will distress him greatly at first, but should eventually allow him to become just a touch more stable. His obsession, which he is having difficulty tearing himself away from, is using technology to contact and control the still-present moon base from their past lives. Though he presents it as a way to prove to himself and the other reincarnates that their memories are real and true, he has ulterior motives. Those motives themselves are split between the desire to use the technology to control the Earth as a way to protect it from the kind of damage done on their home worlds, and the desire to destroy the moon base so that its technology can't be used to destroy Earth as well. Even he is not entirely sure what choice he will make when presented with his options.

Ultimately, Rin is a very troubled person. The battle between his adult memories and adult emotions and his childish appearance and identity has resulted in a standstill that has created a very dangerous individual prone to wild mood swings and desperate last-ditch efforts. He feels emotion as complex as an adult's with a child's intensity, and things cannot continue indefinitely for him the way that they are. He needs so much help, but will refuse to take it until it's almost too late. He is a villain, and manages to be both the hero and antagonist of his own story, but his is an existence that provokes sympathy and empathy and the desire to help.

Abilities: Rin has become what Shion was on his planet. A powerful psychic. His power, called Sarches, includes most of the powers we consider ESP. He can teleport, use telekinesis that is so powerful it can kill, and has clairvoyance. He can observe from nearby and from a distance any person he knows well enough to recognize. He can also imitate voices over the phone, well enough to fool the people who know the person best. (As long as he knows how they talk) If able, he prefers to use telekinesis to float or fly, rather than walking. He additionally has the ability to project and control energy, as beams or as orbs, and use it to attack. This is dangerous enough and difficult enough that he very rarely does it, preferring to use items in his vicinity as projectiles or simply crush his opponents with telekinetic pressure. He can also seal areas and erect forcefields whose permeability is at his control. His teleportation abilities are not limited to himself, and he can transport himself great distances, hundreds of miles, with no issue. (That is, unless he's injured in some way. Teleportation aggravates any existing injury or defect in the body.) As long as something is within his line of sight, he can teleport it to another place within his line of sight. He can also follow another person who is teleporting. The one great weakness of his psychic power is that if confronted directly with another type of psychic power, it will backfire on him, hitting him with a great percentage of the power he had intended to use on the other psychic. The injuries he has at his canon point are from this event.

[Rin's face is wan and pale, there are dark circles under his eyes. He gives a faint smile, one that looks very uncharacteristic on the face of a seven-year-old boy.]

Hi everybody. I, uh... Got someone to bring me this computer. My name's Rin Kobayashi, and I'm 7 years old, and I guess I got hurt bad right before I came here!

[The shadow of tears fill his eyes]

Um. They told me I have a mom and a dad assigned here, but I didn't get a chance to meet them. And since I don't really know anybody, no one's come to visit me. I'm... kinda lonely. Can someone talk to me on this? Sorry, we didn't have stuff like this where I'm from.

[A single tear streams down his cheek and he wipes it away, fisting his hands into his eyes in a very childlike way.]

    Sorry. I'm lonely.

    Additional sample

Third Person: His body is in such pain he almost doesn't notice the immediate silence for a moment. Well, not silence. There's the sound of birds, and a strange engine rumbling sound he's never heard before. But nevertheless, it's silent. He smells grass, sees blue sky, feels the open wounds stabbing with pain all over his body, tastes copper in his mouth. But his most important sense, his sixth sense, his ESP, is completely silent.

Where the hell is he? His mind immediately goes into a panic and he tries to rise to his feet, but the wounds that he's opened by teleporting himself to... wherever the hell this is... are too painful to let him stand up. Keys. There are keys in his hand. He's on a chair. That noise is some kind of lawn machine? A lawnmower? The white chair is quickly getting covered in his blood. He's honestly feeling too weak to call out. He's not so melodramatic as to imagine he'll die here. Probably.

He laughs for a moment, remembering the first movie he saw after he regained his memories. This place looks just like that Edward Scissorhands neighborhood. He almost expects to see a dark castle as he looks up the street. But instead, he sees the person who had been pushing the lawnmower has noticed him and is coming for him. Well. Better the kindness of strangers than putting his mother through any more pain. Either way, he gets what he wanted, more or less. If he's stuck wherever this is, without powers, without the ability to contact his family and fellow reincarnates... At least they can't find him. Whoever it is yells for an ambulance, and Rin groans and throws himself into unconsciousness, so he doesn't have to deal with his sudden lack of ESP. Hopefully this time, he'll be able to go without dreaming.

    IC INFORMATION;
Character's Name: Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China)
Age: 172, but he appears to be about 16.
    Canon: Axis Powers Hetalia
Canon Point: Present day (specifically Halloween 2013)
    Species: City-state.
    Gender: Male, physically and mentally.
Orientation: There's no explicit canon evidence or word of god either way as to his sexuality, but he wouldn't be opposed to a spouse of any gender.

History: Hong Kong @ Wikipedia, Hong Kong @ Hetalia wiki

Appearance: Hong Kong has brown hair and golden brown eyes. He's of fairly average height (no canon height has been given, but I estimate he's about 5'7") and has a healthy build. His notable facial features are his strong (handsome) brows and his oftentimes blank expression. In canon, he's seen dressing in traditional garb or in Western-style formalwear. However, he's also been shown in women's clothing and several costumes during holiday events. It's said he has a penchant for fashion due to his dismay at China's poor fashion choices, so I believe he dresses fashionably on normal occasions.

Personality: Hong Kong is that guy. The guy who makes you constantly question whether or not he's taking anything seriously. He enjoys pranks and general mischief, but it's hard to know what's going on in his head due to his perpetual lineface. He doesn't give much away when he speaks either, although his speech patterns are reflective of his physical age: teenaged and usually littered with slang and informal grammar. That's not to say he can't communicate. He's pretty good at getting a point across when he feels the need.

This proves useful in his professional dealings. He's nothing if not ambitious. Don't let the lineface fool you: he possesses a great deal of cunning and isn't exactly above manipulating situations to get what he wants. Call it a byproduct of his aggressive economic growth in the late 20th century if you like, but Hong Kong has developed into a business-minded young man. He has a tendency to nap excessively (he would prefer you use the word "regularly" instead) and he does everything at his own pace, but he's not lazy and he has an excellent work ethic.

As previously mentioned, he likes pranks and mischief-making, so that good work ethic can easily be used to evil ends. Thankfully, he usually stays too busy to plot extensively. Just beware if he does find himself going through a period of boredom.

Another thing that's fairly important to note about Hong Kong is his general level of acceptance of others. The geographic area houses a wide variety of people of different nationalities, ethnicities, faiths, orientations, and backgrounds. Hong Kong seems to be equally tolerant and accepting. Rather, it's more accurate to say he's not really concerned with things that people use to exclude or ostracize others from particular groups. Historically, Hong Kong hasn't been bothered by being a kind of outlier in Asia and current affairs in the area tend to support this idea. He's much more inclusive than exclusive in general terms, but if he were ever guilty of being judgmental, it would very probably be on a strictly materialistic basis (see above re: China's terrible fashion sense).

Because of this, Hong Kong is also pretty unflappable a large majority of the time and it's very tough to make him angry. Even if he were to get angry, it would be difficult to tell judging solely by his external reactions. The same goes for any extreme emotion. He doesn't tend to get outwardly (noticeably) really happy or sad or upset. In some ways, it probably is true that he's a hard-pressed to express himself in ways people can easily understand. He abides by the adage "actions speak louder than words," without a doubt. These actions sometimes include things like stripping naked or blowing something up with fireworks, of course, so some actions are certainly "louder" than others. That's not to say he's utterly without emotion, just that it's sometimes hard to see it under his giant eyebrows and fluffy French maid outfits.

Unlike some of his fellow East Asian relatives, Hong Kong has very little trouble being direct. Multiple of his canon appearances, notably the 2011 and 2013 Halloween events, show him being very forthright and even blunt when inquiring about and commenting on others. He's also incredibly nosy, seen bothering Iceland repeatedly about how he's feeling. The traditional ethos is present in some of his interactions, but he's definitely much more "modern" than some of his family members. Where Japan's answers all mean no, Hong Kong's answers all pretty much mean exactly what you think they mean. His sneaky behavior is about as honest and forthright as sneaky behavior gets. As stated above, he's sometimes a little bit manipulative, but he's definitely not malicious. Think of him as exactly what he is: a teenager who's been a teenager for decades and decades. It's just that he has a little too much free time on his hands, that's (probably) all.

Abilities: Other than being essentially immortal, Hong Kong doesn't possess any extraordinary gifts. He's a good cook, he knows some martial arts, and he speaks several languages (English, Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese at the very least, but I think there's good reason to believe he can speak others with some level of proficiency), but these are all basically side effects of being nearly two centuries old. He has the Hetalia immune system, which means he doesn't get sick under normal circumstances, but rather his physical well-being is tied to the health of his economy. Oh, he also smells great.

Other: If possible, I'd like for Hong Kong to resume landlord duties at the ICC and care for the zoo. They're free on the location page as of me typing this.

    SAMPLES;
First Person: Test drive top level + Tag out to Yuzuki Seo at test drive.

Third Person: Hong Kong knows a few things to be unequivocally true. First, no one should wear a theme park mascot anywhere on their body unironically. Second, there's no better way to spend a Saturday morning than sitting around in your pajamas, rapping along to FAMA songs, while eating a pile of egg tarts the size of your head.

Third, Holly Heights' landlord has the worst timing of anyone, evil robot wizard or not, that he has ever met. And he is super indecisive, too, which is a total bummer, because it means Hong Kong's been trying to finish the same Halloween party for months now. He's not 100% sure how he happened to land back in his world after only a few minutes had passed there, but now that he's back in Holly Heights, it's been months.

He's tempted to call up the landlord and make him answer for this injustice. It's pretty intolerable, especially since he was trying to finish a piece of cake back in the real world (or whatever passes for the real world, because frankly he's gotten a lot more accustomed to living in Holly Heights for the last few years). The only thing that's really hard about arriving here again has to be the realization that so many of his friends are gone.

Hong Kong's not one to sit around dwelling on these things though, so as soon as he's reasonably settled, he'll head for the ICC. At least his massively excessive skyscraper hasn't abandoned him.... Might be time to console himself with a series of highly improbable plans for toilet papering it from top to bottom. That's the fourth thing Hong Kong knows to be true: you're in a serious pickle when you're thinking it might be cool to prank yourself.

Even if it would be really cool to TP a 484 meter skyscraper. C'mon, you know it's true.

    OTHER;
Housing Request?: Somewhere he can't make too much trouble. Since there's no such place, you'll have to let me make as much trouble as possible. Can he get assigned to 1406?
Did you read the rules and FAQ?: I re-familiarized myself with them, yes.

    Masato Hijirikawa ★ Uta no Prince-sama [2]

    [personal profile] dreamship 2015-11-02 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
    History: wikia - history

Appearance: This loser right here. 5'11, so pale he probably blinds people in the summer, beauty mark under his left eye, slightly-uneven hime cut, looks miserable 80% of the time. His features are so soft that he'd make a pretty fabulous female if he were to crossdress (canon proven!).

    Personality:
Masato Hijirikawa is a very proper child. He follows rules, listens to his elders, and does his best not to step on toes. But that's because he was raised to be such a stickler. The eldest of the Hijirikawa family, Masato knows that he is nothing but an heir to the family and the one made to take over the Hijirikawa Group, his father's company. His father had him raised in a very strict and serious environment, and he grew up knowing to keep his inner feelings and emotions contained. Because of this, he's been a very reserved and quiet individual, on top of being more serious than necessary.

The only times he's stepped out of this have been when he sings. Music, to him, has been a lifeline and a way to express himself. He has a soft but pleasant voice, and he plays piano nearly professionally. Masato wants to be a musician, but seeing as he is set to become the lead of the Hijirikawa Group, this dream is a hard one to realize. His father is against the idea of music or singing, thinking of it as nothing but a waste of time for someone who won't be going into that field anyway, but Hijirikawa still wishes to continue this. He had made a deal with his father, upon his grandfather's offer to pay a school's tuition, to attend Saotome Academy (a school for gifted musicians and composers who wish to step into the professional world), but he only has one year to prove himself. However, it's shown that Masato can withstand the pressure. With his professional and serious attitude, he's done nothing but push himself to excel during that one year attending the school.

But outside of that pressure, Masato just loves to sing. He likes the warmth he feels being able to let his music reach another, and he likes the fact that it's the one thing he can do to properly express his feelings. When he's singing and playing the piano, he doesn't need to keep up that serious demeanor. He doesn't need to fear his father or even think of being the heir to the family empire when he's busy proclaiming his love to the rhythm of a song. Writing lyrics excites him, and he actually enjoys himself when he can just have a carefree day of singing and playing.

Because music is so important to him, Masato does his best to take care of himself in his fields of excellence. Since he plays the piano, he does his best to make sure his hands stay in top condition. That means no rough sports and no fighting (or very minimal, as he has taken a swing or two at some roommates). He fears injuring his fingers and not being able to play the piano, so he does his best to keep his hands out of harm's way. He certainly doesn't lack the skills--Masato, strangely enough, is quite good at throwing a punch--but he has enough self-restraint. Most of the time, at least; there are a few times when he can't help it, but he would rather surrender in a fight than to injure them. Sure, it's a little excessive at times, but he's very cautious of his voice and his hands to keep them in good shape. The only time he'll risk his hands is if he's trying to help someone.

That's one thing about Masato that he'll never be able to shake. He's a very helpful person. When Haruka couldn't play the piano, he gave her lessons. When Ren was getting too close, Masato stepped in to tell him to keep his distance. He doesn't like seeing people get hurt, especially when it's something that can be prevented. If there's something he is able to do, Masato will step in to offer assistance. However, his help only comes when it's wanted - he won't hesitate to share a sharp word and turn away to someone who doesn't want to help themselves. That is probably his top problem with Ren Jinguji, his roommate and ex-best friend; he doesn't hate the fact that Ren is the third child of his family and can do as he pleases, but the fact that Ren doesn't seem to care enough about his own life to take charge of it himself, and the fact that he doesn't seem to take things seriously in the least. That sort of reckless and careless behavior aggravates him to no end. He's also very good at being helpful and thinking through problems. Besides just being a helpful person, he's quite reasonable and good at coming up with solutions out of problems. However, being a teenager, this isn't always functioning - but he thinks through more things than his friends.

Masato does not let his emotions get in the way. Very serious and calm, he takes a more objective look at situations since he doesn't wish to upset anyone purposefully. It also makes him the level-headed individual in a heated situation. Because it's normally easier to think with a clear head, Masato's the one you can go to if you're in a panic.

His family is definitely his greatest weakness. His duty to his father and being the heir of the Hijirikawa Group often takes place of his dreams, and his goal to keep his little sister safe and have her enjoy a life he doesn't normally get to control urges him to continue this. He is betrothed to a woman his family has set up for him, and he doesn't wish to marry her but he will if he has to. Life has been planned for him since birth, and the only thing he could break away from when it came to fitting in that role was singing. His other weakness, which still follows him to this day: is his frail physique. He has a very frail bones and a delicate nature about him. His skin doesn't tan, and he's more prone to broken bones due to a lack of calcium because he detests milk. Most recently, he's been trying to drink more, but it is a struggle.

    History: Wiki
Appearance: She's a lovely girl... But... It's a shame about her personality
Personality: Seo is a prototypical "KY," kuuki ga yomenai, meaning that she cannot catch on to the mood in the room, no matter what. She says the worst possible thing in any given situation, she doesn't realize how people feel about her or anyone else, and she's comfortable even in situations where she should really not be comfortable. She tends to be good friends with girls, but most boys are intimidated by or afraid of her.

She enjoys sports, and fills in on her high school teams during practices quite often. Of course, her position as a fill-in player is mostly meant to teach the teams to mind their sportsmanship and deal with opponents who have none. She's violent and almost maniacal on the field, an unstoppable force of destruction. This contrasts with her other after-school activity, choral group. Though she's infamous among sports clubs, she's famous all over the school as the mysterious Lorelai of the singing club. Her voice is enchanting and beautiful, and in order to keep that reputation, the other members of the club have been sworn to secrecy on who her particular lovely voice belongs to. This has the unusual effect of making her both hated and loved by her favorite member of the basketball team, Wakamatsu, who uses her music to cure the insomnia that she gies him with her violence on the basketball court.

Despite her lack of ability to read people and her emotional immaturity, she does show affection in her own way. She singles out Waka on the court to the point where he's terrified of her, but it's in a way that resembles an elementary school boy pulling on the pigtails of his crush. She gives him gifts, talks to him, and asks him to see movies and such with her. Waka himself doesn't seem to really understand that she likes him, due to the way she treats him. But when he tells her he has feelings for her, experimentally, she freaks out and freezes up and tries to run on him. Despite her pretty obvious feelings, she's not willing to confront them even inside her own head.

Her best friend is Chiyo Sakura, who sits next to her in class. The two of them get along very well, despite Seo's personality. Chiyo is really proud of her friend's singing, and Yuzuki is always on her side. She doesn't know anything about her friend's manga hobby or her crush on Nozaki, but it's mostly because she's just completely unable to catch on. Her friendship with Kashima confused Waka, who assumed Kashima was a guy and that he was dating Seo.

She plays games, both in the arcade and at home, her best subjects in school are math and history. She has an older brother who is in college and has a crush on one of Nozaki's fellow manga artists. She generally gets along with the people with whom she doesn't play sports, though she has a tendency to say things that put them off.

Abilities: Yuzuki has no superhuman powers, but she has two great talents. She's very good at physical activities and sports, despite her lack of sportsmanship. And she sings like an angel. She's fast enough to outrun anyone but track stars, she has the ability to say the exact wrong thing in any given situation. All in all, she's a human heat-seeking-missle when it comes to damaging other people's egos.
    Other:

Get ready sports trash, I'm comin' for ya.

    SAMPLES;
    First Person: TDM

Third Person: It's pretty clear that Seo's messed up. Otherwise, why would her parents send her to this weird-ass boarding school? But when she considers it, she can't really think of what it was specifically. Must have been a teacher holding one mad grudge who finally got ahold of the straw that broke the camel's back.

She sighs, stretching her arms up and rolling her shoulder. Well, she might as well get some exercise. It's a little strange that the teachers here don't seem to care if she doesn't come to class, though. If it's supposed to be a boarding school, where's the school part? Ohhh... Wait, she's heard of this. One of those open-air classroom bullshits. Well, if they think she's gonna learn in spite of herself, they don't know her very well. She starts jogging towards the sports center. Time to teach some lessons of her own.
