this means they close at about 11:59 PM CST on the 7th
do not post applications until the subject says OPEN

APPLICATION REMINDERS;
  • LOOK HERE FIRST If you would like your application to be unscreened please put your application here! If you want to put your application on the screened post, put it here.
  • Before applying make sure you read the application explanation!
  • Do not link applications. Post them in comments!
  • Please fill out every portion, except possibly the orientation section if it does not apply to you and the other section since it is not necessary unless you need it.
  • ALL CHARACTERS 18+ MUST FILL OUT THE ORIENTATION SECTION THIS DOES NOT MEAN ONE WORD. IT MEANS AS IT STATES IN THE APPLICATION EXPLANATION.
  • Only one sample must be linked. Please do not link two samples.
  • If you are putting a housing request in please include a number. If you do not, then it will not be considered. The reason being is that simply putting a name does not help me if the character has not yet apped either. Discuss it together and find a house to put yourself in that fits with your slotting and preferences.
  • Please make sure you run your app sections (personality/samples) through a word counter. I use this one! If they don't comply with the minimum word counts, then no dice.
  • The age rule is non-negotiable. You can beg me to put your 14 looking character who is actually a gazillion in a kid slot all you want but it will not happen.
  • You do not need to reply to your acceptance logged in as the journal. You just need to tell me the journal name so I can accept it to the communities.
  • THE APPLICATION

    Re: Jun Isashiki | Ace of Diamond | Not Reserved 2/2

    [personal profile] outfielder 2015-08-06 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
    Abilities:
    - Jun has a strong shoulder, letting him throw powerful fastballs from the outfield all the way up to the catcher. And did I mention Very Powerful? It flies across the field like a laser! His control on his throws aren't so well-tuned though; because of that, he couldn't make it to being the pitcher like he originally wanted.
    - He also has a fairly high batting average. Though not a strong and stable hitter like Yuki nor fast on his feet like Kuramochi, Jun is an all-around hitter, which is important for the batting line-up he is part of, to connect the play to the clean-upper.

    Other:
    - Likes shoujo manga. (and is int a tsun relationship with it)
    - Yelling. So much yelling.
    - Not a Spitz!!!
    - Everyone likes Eijun!!1!1!

    SAMPLES;
    First Person:
    [Video/voice]

    Tch, having a network account? What a pain. [He gives a sigh, rubbing his neck. He sure looks frustrated.] S'pose I'll just use it now that I have one, though.

    Name's Jun Isashiki, one of the third years from Seido High School baseball team. Not that the name matters here, apparently. If you met that scheming Miyuki, loudmouthed idiot Sawamura, and the quiet Furuya, then they're on team I was on back home. Dunno how much Miyuki's been handling the two here, but now that I'm here too...

    [He glares at the screen; the glare is at the three of them, actually.]

    YOU THREE BETTER NOT HAVE BEEN SLACKING OFF WITH YOUR PRACTICING!!

    [Did he care if the three were possibly from a different timeline? Not really. If there weren't even enough people to make a team? Nope. If they were slacking off on their training, he was going to make it his deal to whoop them back into shape. That's all that mattered for Jun.]

    Tell ya what. Sawamura, Furuya, you two throw some pitches for me. You two better give me your best pitches, if I see any lousy ones I'm gonna hit it out the field!!

    [He's not Tetsu, so he probably won't be able to do that... But whatever! It's the thought that counts, right??]

    Third Person:
    Jun wasn't sure what to feel as he stared at the shelves at a bookstore he randomly strolled in. What was he expecting anyways? It was a bookstore, after all--why wouldn't they? But to actually see it in such a strange world was slightly off-putting. Even if it hasn't been that long since he had ended up in Holly Heights, Jun knew well enough that this world wasn't related to Japan...at least not completely.

    "Holy shit, they carry that monthly magazine--!?" He had to stop himself from blurting out even louder, and took a quick look around his surroundings before taking the book in question from the shelf, looking at the front cover, flipping it to the back cover, and opening it to look within the pages.

    It really was a genuine monthly magazine of a shoujo manga...!

    He could probably just stand and read. That was the easiest to do. But he's always had at least one copy at home in his homeworld, and to find one existing in this world as well made it hard for him to part ways like that. But to have to deal with the cashier with possibly giving strange looks at him... There was some tolerance to go through the trouble.

    "...RRRGH!! Dammit!!" With a frustrated yell, Jun stomped over to the cashier, slamming the book onto the counter angrily, glaring at the poor cashier.

    "I'll get this, how much is it!?"

    Jun secretly hoped the cashier was too distracted by his yelling to see his tiny embarrassed blush creeping on his face as he made his purchase.

    OTHER;
    Housing Request?: 1418 as a first choice, please! If not then any house with a baseball cast would be okay!
    Did you read the rules and FAQ?: Yes!

    Wow I feel so dumb, I completely skipped over that while c/ping the app.

    Here it is:

    Personality:
    Jun is one of the loudest members of the team as a third year. There are a couple of other loud players, but it's probably undeniable that Jun has the loudest voice (with the exception of Eijun's yelling), where he could be heard clearly even while he's standing so far away in the outfield. It's his way of keeping the mood in high spirits during the games. But because of how he looks so angry almost all the time and yelling so much, he puts an intimidating front to those who meets him for the first time. He's definitely not angry all the time, though--he'll smile when he's happy, frown when he's sad, and so on. It's just his enthusiasm, especially towards baseball, comes out in so much energy that it seems like he's angry and yelling all the time. He knows when to pour his energy out and yelling a lot, and when not to. But since his first impression on the field is yelling and yapping all the time, he received the nickname "Spitz-senpai" from Eijun. (DON'T CALL HIM SPITZ!1!)

    Not only is he loud, Jun is extremely straight forward and outspoken. He says exactly what he thinks (especially towards baseball), and doesn't try to fluff up his own words. He's a vice captain for nothing; while Yuki is a dependable captain, especially through plays, he's not known for talking much. Jun covers for his fellow teammate (and rival) by calling out on the younger ones' plays, pointing out their errors so they can become a stronger player for the team. Jun's play may look like he's not thinking much, especially when he's in the batter box, but he indeed has a sharp eye out of his surroundings. He's quick to point out, especially at the first years, for slacking off. Even when he was a first year, he would speak of his thoughts, such as when one of the other first years was about to give up, Jun had approached him to point out that he wasn't the only one feeling the pain. One example that shows he would never fluff his words was when Eijun asked Jun what Koshien was like, how it's so great, after they lost in the summer tournament: Jun's response, without hesitation, was that he wouldn't know and one would have to go to see just how great it is.

    His rude demeanor lessens when he's talking to girls. He has no problem talking to female classmates, as well as managers, at least not currently. He was a bit more awkward as a first year at Seido, where he would easily get flustered after pointing out that someone should escort Takako to home during one of their late night practices. To be able to voice that suggestion, as well as put on a less loud and rude demeanor, is perhaps due to having two older sisters as siblings.

    Like all others on the team, Jun is extremely determined, as well as a team player. Once he puts his mind to something, he will do all he can to see it happen. By how his first year at Seido was, he learned the hard way that diligence is the key and that you have to keep going no matter what. If there's a chance, grab it: those words that he told himself made the player he is now, and if he's part of something bigger that can achieve his dream, he will gladly take up that chance, whether it's something that he wasn't envisioning in the beginning. He isn't a perfectionist by a long shot but he doesn't care, as long as the first step is made and it connects to something bigger, that's all that matters to him.

    If there is one weakness, to say, to Jun, it is probably his hobby of reading shoujo manga. It's an influence he had from having two older sisters, where one of them actually draws (as seen in the side story chapter of the manga, "Spirits"). It's the one thing Jun would be reluctant to even speak about unless brought up in a topic, where he would even get defensive about it when questioned. But you can't deny what you like, right? He'll be quick to admit that he likes reading them after getting flustered about it. He just will not yell at the top of his lungs to let everyone know what he likes.

    Sorry about that!!;;;
