Very sorry! It seems I pasted the second half twice; here you are, the actual third half! (Many apologies for the trouble this must have caused--!!)

=================

Appearance:
Right Here!

Personality: Being six years old, Mitsuhiko is 'childish'. This is not childish in the sense of acting younger than he is--if anything he could be seen as slightly ahead of his peers, a fact that is certainly overshadowed by the intense maturity displayed by two classmates in particular. What it means simply is that he still has that child's-nature, which is to be expected, given that he is one. He gets excited about things like 'treasure hunts' and 'camping trips', about shows and movies involving great big monsters, where the hero saves the day; upset and somewhat teary eyed when things go wrong, when he's hurt, or scared--and, despite what he will often say in full confidence about ghosts and monsters 'not existing', he is indeed quite afraid of those sorts of things.

Yet, despite this 'typically child-like' nature of his, there are a number of things that stretch beyond this, and indeed beyond the very scope of what someone his age should act like. Closer within the realms of reality, Mitsuhiko is a very organized, intelligent, and polite child. He is incredibly responsible, already opening his own bank account, and realizing the importance of saving what he has for later. He has been taught to treat adults and elders with respect, using only the most proper honorifics and pronouns, and also to be kind and courteous to others. Indeed, for the most part his moments of irritation seem to accompany a small level of discomfort and unease. Noted exceptions are either for more 'minor' incidents (Such as being on the losing team of a set of soccer games five times in a row), or for matters concerning his friends (in which case his discomfort may be tossed aside entirely because he is no longer thinking of himself.). On that note, Mitsuhiko is a rather self-less boy for his age. He has more than once made motions to save his friends with their lives in mind rather than his--that is to say, going back for them, or sacrificing something of his for them, when he himself could have been fine otherwise. (He has even collapsed from hypothermia as a direct result of this, having given his jacket to the classmate and friend Haibara Ai while they were trapped in a refrigerated truck.)

Mitsuhiko is a fairly intelligent boy as well, going along with his organization skills. He tends to think ahead, planning for situations relatively well (IE, bringing a compass and map to a perceived treasure hunt), and taking notes on things in case the information is needed later. If he's interested in a subject, and cannot find the information on it himself, he'll ask someone he trusts for help in researching it, so that he can still have that knowledge for later. Obviously, he isn't a genius--indeed, while he tends to be slightly more careful and thoughtful than others his age, his mental power is still within the relative limits of a first grade boy. However, he has a habit of gathering knowledge, and his growing skills of observation mean that he could well come to achieve a similar degree of intellect and power as that of the 'Gosho Four' (A fan-name for the three detectives in the series, Hattori Heiji, Kudou Shinichi, and Hakuba Saguru, plus the phantom thief Kaitou KID).

Along those lines, come the more unsettling parts of his personality--while Mitsuhiko is a bright, and overly cheery boy, he has become somewhat desensitized to the sight of death and crime. While his initial response to a corpse is still shock, this shock fades incredibly quick, an extremely unsettling thing when compared to his former reaction to scream bloody murder (excusing the pun). He is able to slip almost immediately into 'detective mode', helping Conan to investigate the crime alongside his friends, searching and questioning to a relatively impressive degree before often assisting to demonstrate the resolution of the case. Such are the consequences of continually being exposed to corpses and murder cases, it seems...

That certainly isn't to say he's careless however, and indeed, while he seems to lack the terror when investigating a crime, he certainly does not completely lack fear when fleeing a murder, or when being met unexpectedly with a murder weapon. He also feels heavily for others, recognizing their emotions and reasoning with considerable ease, and spotting when those he knows somewhat well are acting 'different' or 'off'. When it comes to those he looks up to, and trusts, he is often hesitant to question them on topics he himself is not experienced in, and moreover, rather likely to fall quiet when what he has been told is 'right' conflicts with what they are doing, in a manner that concerns the safety of others. (When it comes to conflicting with 'what is right', and the matter is otherwise trivial, he will most certainly voice his thoughts, however.)

For those he has a crush on in particular, we can see his kindness, and politeness. He respects their space, averting gaze should the situation need (despite obviously lacking the knowledge of exactly why it is /wrong/), and gets angry when others don't do the same. Somewhat adorably enough, to that end he has admitted to being worried about the nature of his crush, wondering if having a crush on two different girls is 'two timing'.

Overall, these things taken into consideration, Mitsuhiko is a very intelligent and kind little boy. He gets excited and cheery about many of the things one would associate with children, and when pressured or flustered tends to get jittery, or even scared, speaking without thought. Given space, he can think clearly, and as he has a habit of taking notes and gathering knowledge, has the potential to take his thoughts to places that even some adults cannot, thus 'outsmarting them' in a sense. He is also rather selfless, and respectful of others--but not to the point of rolling over for them, as he will most certainly defend his own thoughts on a matter, if he feels he knows what he's talking about, and more importantly tends to realize when he's being used. Mitsuhiko has a somewhat apologetic and mischievous nature all the same--he has more than once done things that he knows he would get in trouble for, but while visibly uneasy about those things, did so anyway with the prompting of his friends. This shows that, despite proving a few times that he himself is capable of leading, he is also easily influenced by those he knows and cares for.

Abilities: Mitsuhiko is very much a 'normal six year old child', what with his intelligence still being within his age range for the most part. He's not particularly strong, but he's not frail either; he can climb trees quite easily, and enjoys the sports events with his friends after all!

Other:
  • He dislikes carrots most, eating them last--if he has to at all.
  • He weighs around 44lbs (20kg), but his height hasn't canonically been revealed. This is the same for his birthday.
  • Though it's hard to tell, his eyes appear to be blue when the colour is revealed.
  • He has exactly five freckles on each cheek!
  • Despite the growing interest he has in Detective and Police work, he has time and time again proven that he still dreams of being able to see Outer Space, and seems to hold a heavy interest in the stars.
  • Mitsuhiko also seems to enjoy scientific and historical subjects on his own time, as well as 'general subjects' (folklore and riddles, etc.)--as his parents are both teachers, this isn't surprising.
  • His favorite show and comic is 'Kamen Yaiba' (comparable to the Power Rangers and other related series), while his favorite movie series is 'Gomera' (rather like Godzilla).
  • Apparently, Mitsuhiko is fond of 'French Cuisine'. He may just ask for it to appear more mature however.

SAMPLES
First Person:
[Mitsuhiko why are you using the phone for diary entries...]

The sky here looks different from the sky I'm used to at night--the stars are in completely different places! I'm going to find a book with a star-map on it; I think that the sky here is supposed to be the same as the sky over America, but I want to check, just to make sure!

...Stargazing is really fun too I think! I don't have my telescope here, but the sky is really clear here--it's like when you go camping, or when it's winter. The stars are always easier to see when you're not in a city, and when it's winter, it's even easier. Of course, there are lots of stars you can see with your eyes, so I can do that for now, I think. It's really bright! Mn...

...I wish I could show Haibara, and Ayumi-chan, and everyone...

Third Person:

He sits on the floor of his new room with a rather determined expression on his face, with a number of items laid out before him. Mitsuhiko has of course been briefed long ago on where he is--he read the letter he got after all, even if he was a little confused by a few of the words. Since he can't get to his real home, and to his sister and parents and all of his friends however, it's taken him until now to really sit and think about things.

If Conan were here, he thinks, it would have been the first thing Conan did--and while he's wrong, the thought is still there.

Asking himself 'what Conan' or 'what Haibara' would do in this situation is what led him here, with everything he has.

...And also a notepad and pencil he found in the kitchen. "Let's see... First there is, the 'five keys'," he starts, looking to the ring in question. One for each of the gates, and one for the house (and car). "Next there is... The 'lease', and 'credit card'..." The lease for him is less a lease and more a letter--it isn't as though he himself can own a house (you have to be an adult for that!), but it had a lot of other information that was probably important, so he's keeping it close and re-writing what seems 'key' into the notebook. The credit card itself is a different story--it seems daunting in fact, to have that much money all of a sudden, even if it took him a while to figure out how much that was in 'yen'.

"Ehehe... I'll have to get used to that, won't I... ...Mn. Next is, the 'Cel Phone', and a 'Student ID'!" While he seems somewhat cheery as he says this, his tone and expression say otherwise. The phone is nothing like the phone he has at home. And the ID card is proof that someone got a picture of his face, and he doesn't remember getting his picture taken, but...

His face crinkles with unease, and while he's starting to feel scared, he doesn't let the rest of it show on his face. Because the ID card has a smiling 'him' staring back, and right now, he can't think of how that could be possible at all.

Housing Request?: If I could I would have been a smart aleck and said something like '4869' but the numbers only go up to 1500 OH WELL. If he could end up with one or two people with scientific interests that'd be cool but otherwise toss him wherever!

Did you read the rules and FAQ?: Yup yup!

Would you like your application to be unscreened?: UHHHHH... Eh leave it unscreened I've got nothing to hide NOT LIKE MURDERERS DO HEUEHHEEHHEH
