This leads to him being very hot-headed. It isn’t very difficult to get him riled up and he has a tendency to act on his angry instincts. When someone pisses him off, he wastes no time in beating them up in any way possible. His instincts for fighting are triggered all the more when it is someone he loves that is being hurt or upset. For example, if someone insults his grandmother, he’s much more likely to take them out for it than if they were to insult him.
His grandmother is someone that he prizes very highly. But there are also a few others that he holds very dearly as well. It’s difficult to become so close to Joseph, but when someone earns his trust and respect, he is the most trustworthy, loyal person you could have on your side. He tends to not care what happens to himself, so long as he is able to protect the people who are important in his life. This is a point that he is very stubborn on, though Joseph is generally a stubborn person anyway. Once he’s decided something, Joseph never backs down from it unless something else manages to sway him even harder – for example, he wanted nothing more than to beat up his master after her harsh training, but when he realized that her methods had actually helped him to grow, he had no qualms with her any longer.
Fighting is something that Joseph is very good at. But more than that, he is amazing at analyzing and reacting to a situation, often in the most creative ways possible. No matter what is being thrown at him, Joseph can calmly take stock of what is going on and turn it to his advantage. One of his quirks is to accurately predict what his opponent is going to say next, though typically only in the most dire of moments when there isn’t much else that they could say in response to the situation.
His creativity in his fighting is fueled by his never-ending desire to be better than what he is and to have as much fun with his life as he can. Joseph likes to use his surroundings and anything within the vicinity to his advantage. This fuels into a creative use of his powers as well, something he originally honed all on his own. He’ll often do things like using steel crackers as weapons or using his abilities to cause the top of a coke bottle to shoot off at a high enough speed to break a man’s finger. Essentially, Joseph can figure out how to turn anything around him into a weapon.
When people he cares about aren’t involved, Joseph cares only about himself. He is very self-centered and sure of himself. He knows he’s attractive and he knows that he’s good at what he does and he has absolutely no problem shoving that in other people’s faces. On top of that, he greatly enjoys praise – anything to add to his self-appreciation. At the same time, should something have the possibility of affecting the entire world, that automatically puts the people he loves in danger and Joseph wastes no time in stepping up and trying to be the hero. He will even go so far as to willingly sacrifice himself and his physical well-being to put down whatever it is that’s threatening to disturb the order of the world. Case in point, he crashed a helicopter into an active volcano just to try and destroy an immortal being, losing his hand in the process.
While Joseph does tend to spend a majority of his time in the middle of fights – both those he picks himself and those that are picked with him – he isn’t always fighting. His passionate personality lends itself to hitting on girls frequently. He can come off as very chauvinistic because of his flirtatious nature and the way he will get angry at girls who do nothing but primp or dissolve into useless screaming and tears when in dangerous situations. He has been known to threaten to French kiss girls like this just to get them to shut up. However, he also despises womanizing tendencies in other men. He hates when a man will treat a woman overly kindly only in order to get into their pants. It infuriates him to no end, possibly because it’s something that works more easily than his own methods. But it can be said for Joseph that if a woman earns his respect, he treats her as an equal rather than something inferior to him. Though earning his respect can be hard.
Joseph is also very fun-loving in his disposition. He likes joking around with people and enjoys reading comic books. Superman is his favorite, though he just has an inclination towards stories about heroes in general.
In his essence, Joseph is a good person who wants nothing more than to protect what is his and to be left alone to his own life. But he is stubborn and if anything gets in his way, it WILL get crushed. Abilities:It’s easiest to link to his list of abilities on the wiki, but to put it very briefly, he has the ability to expel ‘sun power’ or ‘ripples’ from his body, which is based primarily on an ability to control his breathing in a very particular way. “Slow down!” he called out to another girl, who probably couldn’t even hear him because of the earbuds in her ears, not that he knew what they were. “You don’t have to rush through life so much!”
Ahhh. What a great way to spend the day.
