IC INFORMATION Characters Name: Yuuki Tenpouin Age: Approximately 15 Canon:Code:Breaker Canon Point: Post-chapter 221, pre-epilouge. Species: Human Gender: Male Orientation: Asexual aromantic. Yuuki never shows any sexual or romantic interest in anyone, despite having ample opportunity to do so, and being surrounded by half-naked men and women on multiple occasions. He’d be fine with being married to anyone regardless of gender, but would never be romantically or physically attracted to them.

The way that he thinks is unconventional and bizarre, and the associations that he makes generally make little to no sense to anyone but himself. He absolutely adores various childish things, in particular a cartoon cat named “Nyanmaru,” and has been known to make life or death decisions based on his affection for this character, protecting people that he hardly knows because they remind him of it, or attacking others based on the values that the cartoon has ‘taught’ him. While he is incredibly intelligent and talented at most things he attempts, he can also be quite naïve, absent-minded, and stubborn to the point of harming himself and others. He has a tendency to lose his wallet, give away valuable possessions for arbitrary reasons, and behave in radically irreverent ways towards authority figures. Yuuki is fiercely protective of those people that he considers friends, and will protect them with his life without hesitation. He tends to be a little overzealous when it comes to taking attacks for his companions, and has nearly died doing so on more than one occasion.
Yuuki has a bad tendency of alienating himself and distancing himself from other people, with the exception of those that he views as equal to him or stronger than him, for fear that he will hurt them. This fear stems from an incident in his past in which he indirectly caused the injury of one of his good friends. Shigure, the only other friend that he’d had at the time of the accident, blamed him for it and Yuuki took his accusations to heart. In addition to his tendency for isolation, Yuuki places very little value in his own health and safety in comparison to others. While he may seem quite capable, his thoughts tend towards self-depreciation, and he can become upset when he finds that he has made a mistake or when he is not capable of accomplishing a task that he believes that he should be able to perform. Yuuki has been capable of most things throughout his life due to his high intelligence, and failure hurts him more than the average person. He was born to be a perfect weapon, and spent most of his childhood being told that he was only as valuable as his powers were strong, and so if he perceives their loss to be permanent, he will become depressed and withdrawn. While he may claim that he hates the people who raised him, their lessons and values are deeply ingrained in his personality, and he has difficulty shaking them.
In general, despite his strange behavior and childish mannerisms, Yuuki is deadpan. He rarely smiles or frowns, and speaks in a sleepy monotone. He is often half-asleep, and has been known to fall asleep with his eyes open, standing up, and even walking. The only emotion that he shows on any regular basis is anger. He is known as the most barbaric member of his group, and if someone wakes him up, hurts anything that he associates with “Nyanmaru,” or injures people that he perceives as innocent, his first reaction is violence. During these fits of rage, he has been known to attack friend and foe alike; whichever happens to be closest at the time. This is likely due to his upbringing- one primarily filled with isolation and the presentation of violence as an appropriate solution to unpleasant situations and people.
Abilities: Yuuki’s power is sound- he can hear far outside the range of normal human beings, create shockwaves capable of pulverizing concrete with his voice, and run at the speed of sound. When he uses too much of his power he turns into a cat for 24 hours, and is incapable of using it during this time. As far as special abilities that are not supernatural are concerned, Yuuki is very intelligent (he graduated from Oxford at the age of 12) and has a variety of talents. He is also a successful toy designer and businessman, and is capable of falling asleep in any situation, though this tends to be more frustrating than useful.
SAMPLES First Person: [Yuuki wrinkles his nose at his phone. He’s not used to having such a thing, and carrying it around is rather annoying. It is constantly buzzing and whirring away, but Yukihina had insisted that he not give this one away, and he is making a concentrated effort to ensure that it didn’t conveniently fall out of his pockets.]

[He walks aimlessly. Yukihina said that he would be somewhere around here, but Yuuki is not surprised to find that he is nowhere in sight. It was his fault that he’d shown up nearly an hour late after all.]
Third Person: There had been very little to do as of late, and Yuuki was bored. After the blur of activity that had constituted the last year of his life. What with constant battles, meetings, and partings, it was difficult to return to the life that he’d known before. There hadn’t been much choice though. He- no, the Code:Breakers as a whole- were all lone wolves by nature. So he’d returned to his life of wandering the streets aimlessly, looking for some source of amusement.
He’d found that scrawling Nyanmaru across the slatted sides of a local store was enough to keep him at least somewhat occupied. He had not taken his art supplies with him- all that he had was a marker, and it was fading fast. Unfortunate, but unavoidable- it was not meant for drawing on such rough surfaces. He finished shading the cat’s eye as best as he could, and tossed the remains of the marker over his shoulder. No point in keeping it if it no longer worked. After taking a short moment to admire his work, he stuck his hands in his pockets and slouched away, singing softly to himself as he went.
