Third Person: Perhaps taking that nap wasn't the greatest of ideas.
While Colress is very much a workaholic and didn't mind working into the wee hours of the night for the sake of data gathering, there are times when he does enjoy his rest. In fact, it was for that reasoning why he decided to take a nap in the first place. There was an odd increase in power output from his Beheeyem, who he had been treating kindly for some time (along with his other pokémon) and he needed to test it out for his thesis. The two worked late into the night, up until the sun began to rise, and Colress looked... well, a nap was certainly the best.
It was a couple of hours before he'd be expecting a certain someone to show up too. A nap wouldn't hurt, right...?
...At least, that's what he thought before he found himself waking up in a lawn chair of all things. His tablet is with him, thankfully, but a quick swipe notes that most of his functions are gone. From what he can tell, all that remained was a video, audio, and text function: functions he had installed himself so that his tablet could work like a cross-transciever. Everything else: his other applications, his schedules, his data.
Gone. All gone.
He slumps back into his chair. His research is gone. Not quite though, since a little voice in the back of his mind told him that the research was backed up on at least three other computers, but... He looks around, observing his surroundings. It's clear that he's not on the Frigate, nor the island it was permenantly stationed at. There were houses, identical houses, as far as the eye can see. Even if his data was backed up, there was no way he could retrieve it. Wherever he is... it's definitely not back where he first lied down.
He turns back to the pile of paperwork that's lying nearby, noticing for the first time that it exists and that it's addressed to him. His eyebrows shoot up in curiosity, a hand slowly reaching for the paperwork. Driver's license, credit card... a marriage license? It was all addressed to him and even held him signature where it needed.
The more he stares at the paperwork — seeing words but not quite reading them — a smile begins to form, slowly but surely. He hums.
"How interesting...!"
