IC INFORMATION
Characters Name: Isaac Lahey
Age: 17
Canon: Teen Wolf
Canon Point: 3x05.
Species: Werewolf
Gender: Male
Orientation: Heterosexual. Even though Isaac has never had a girlfriend in canon, he tells Stiles that he asked Lydia out at one point. He's comfortable enough with his sexuality to use it to his advantage during a mission (when he grinds on both Erica and Jackson), but he isn't seen showing any sort of interest in another boy otherwise.

History: here.
Appearance:
one two three four

Isaac is around 6'1" with a nice build, thanks to working out and being a lacrosse player. He has short dirty blond hair and blue eyes. His eyebrows are a little thicker than most and he has a straight set of white teeth. He dresses in plain clothes, jeans, white or black t-shirts, and has taken a liking to sweaters, leather jackets, converse or boots.
Personality:
We first see him as a normal-looking boy with a bruised eye working in the graveyard, and later talking to Sheriff Stilinski about what he may have seen happen when a grave was robbed. The Sheriff then asks what happened to his eye and Isaac lies that it's because of lacrosse because he knows he could be punished for admitting the truth later. That being said, Isaac would rather work at the graveyard than come home for a family dinner. Family meaning himself and his father. Isaac tells Derek that his father never used to be abusive towards him, though it isn't stated when the beatings started but it progressively became worse. When he and his father have dinner and Isaac is nervously explaining his grades, it's first implied that his father is understanding when he finally gets Isaac to admit his chemistry grade (by threatening to take the conversation downstairs). When he finds out his son is failing, he reassures Isaac and his hopes go up when his father tells him he can do the dishes and clean the kitchen. Isaac is hesitant, but relieved until his father throws a glass at him and it cuts his cheek.

This is where we first see some kind of defiance coming from Isaac, when he pulls the glass shard from his cheek he is angry, telling his father, "you could have blinded me!" When his cut starts healing, however, his father doesn't know what's going on and Isaac runs away from him. Later, he runs to Derek, somewhat frantic, and tells him that his father is dead but he wasn't the one that killed him. Despite being abused by his father constantly, his father was the last remaining connection to family that he had after his brother died in combat. He still cared for him and felt the need to tell Derek that something had gone wrong.

Isaac has a lot of trust issues when it comes to making friends or relying on other people. People knew him as the quiet boy who didn't stand out until he accepted the Bite from Derek. He didn't make much of a mark in the lacrosse team until he got his werewolf powers. As the series goes on Isaac works within Derek's pack fairly well, sometimes questioning his authority. For example, in the third season, Isaac says that he doesn't want to work with Peter repeatedly until Derek convinces him that they have to.

During the second full moon, Derek is chaining Boyd, Erica and Isaac to an abandoned train car. He's explaining that they need to find an anchor, something that keeps them from transforming and to latch onto it to make sure their instincts don't take over. Isaac asks what Derek's is, and replies with "anger, but it doesn't have to be like that for everyone." Isaac is left thinking about it when Derek leaves the train car, but when they start to shift and become uncontrollable, Derek tries to hold them all off from escaping. Isaac ends up finding his own anchor and helps Derek hold down Erica and Boyd, explaining that his anchor is his father because he never used to be abusive towards him.

It takes a long time for Isaac to really warm up to someone no matter how much that person has done for them. He may trust Derek up to a point, but it's clear that he trusts Scott more because Scott made more of an effort to make sure Isaac knew he wanted him to be careful with missions and to stay safe (shown when they are taking down the kanima/Jackson in the rave. Scott pulls him over and tells him to be careful because he doesn't want Isaac to get hurt). He and Derek were doing fairly well until Derek tells him he has to move out of his loft, where Isaac assumes he did something wrong. Derek tells him no, but he has to leave (even though it's pouring rain out) and throws a glass at him. Isaac dodges it, but there is definitely a break in his trust towards the alpha in that moment. Derek knows what Isaac's father did to him, yet he still does something potentially triggering. Isaac doesn't have much conversation between himself and Derek after that. Scott is the person that Isaac goes to when he needs a place to stay, suggesting that Isaac trusts him over anyone else by this point.

Isaac hasn't once made an attempt to become alpha because he's comfortable being lead by someone else. When Isaac's father dies, he's labeled as a suspect and locked in the police station the night of the full moon. When Derek and Stiles come to rescue him, he attacks a man posing to be an officer and attempts to attack Stiles until Derek roars (yes, roars) at him to assert himself as the alpha and to stop Isaac from attacking Stiles. It works, and because Isaac is used to being abused, he literally cowers in fear from what Derek may do and shifts back to normal. He is seen shaking from how scared he is.

After gaining more control over his powers (sort of) he works under Derek without questioning him because he believes it's what he has to do. He's fine with trying to defeat Scott under Derek's orders, along with kidnapping Lydia without knowing the full story (besides what Derek told him). He is too clouded by the alpha's influence along with his new-found confidence in order to see the entire picture that Scott has been trying to show him. When trying to stop Jackson inside the rave, it's shown that he has no problems using his sexuality in order to trick someone. Erica is in between Jackson and Isaac until he decides to try and get closer to Jackson in order to keep him distracted and inject the Ketamine into his blood stream.

When Erica and Boyd can't take the reality of their life anymore, they decide to tell Derek that they are leaving while claiming they heard an entire pack of werewolves. Isaac is tempted to go with them and asks Scott if he's leaving, too, but when Scott says there are too many people in Beacon Hill that need him, Isaac tells him that he has nothing in Beacon Hills and says goodbye. At first, it seems like he is just going because his pack is going, but later he comes back to help Scott take down the kanima. He broke off from Erica and Boyd, showing that he can and will think for himself, along with the fact that deep down, he probably knew that Scott would need his help.

What made Isaac essentially take the bite? Derek does things for himself, and only himself in the beginning, preying on vulnerable teenagers who would do anything to change their lives. He promised Isaac that whatever was going on in his life would become better if he took the bite. Derek even (probably) used Isaac's abusive home life as a way to convince him to take it. Harder, better, faster, stronger, right? Well, that's how Isaac feels when his powers begin to come through. He ends up explaining to Scott that he feels great, despite being a fugitive. All that vulnerability that he felt before when he was defenseless had been blown away by the wind.

Isaac used to be the kid that didn't stick out. Now, he likes to shake things up. He definitely has a 'darker' side to him, enjoying making people uncomfortable (Stiles, Scott) and has a mischievousness to him that is shown quickly after the bite. He and Erica are seen walking down a school hallway together and Isaac purposefully shows his claws and scrapes them across a set of lockers as they walk, as if filing them down. He's very curious, and when he first steps foot into Dr. Deaton's office he wants to touch everything. When he reaches out to touch a glass bottle, Derek grabs his wrist and tells him to watch what he touches.

When things get personal, he gets angry. This develops more in the third season than the second, but Isaac definitely has an on/off switch when it comes to his animalistic nature. When he feels threatened or targeted (or he wants to protect someone), it's hard to keep him completely docile. He'll shift, or go after someone without thinking of the consequences. Sometimes, it's something that he can't even control which dips into his triggers. When he was locked in a closet with Allison, he felt as if he was being locked inside the old freezer again (a common tactic used by his father to punish him) and had a panic attack which turned into him shifting and attacking Allison until Scott moved the drink machine out of the way of the door and pulled Isaac off her. Another example is when he was chasing after the alpha twins after Scott told him not to, and accepting Derek's bite.

He is also described as a "ticking time bomb" by Stiles. In s3e05, after being told what is happening to Scott, he blows a fuse and starts attacking Ethan (one of the alphas) nonstop, even when being pulled away by the coach, he shoves him off and jumps right back in to punching Ethan repeatedly in the face. He can only stop when Scott yells his name at him.

Scott yelling at him proves to be a great source of 'pack leadership' and Isaac respects Scott enough to accept him as a leader, which is why Isaac obeys him. This also happens when he is locked in a closet with Allison and he is triggered by his claustrophobia. When he loses it and shifts, Scott is the only one that can bring him down by yelling Isaac's name.

Isaac doesn't talk about himself, or how he feels much, if at all. In that way, he is very introverted. Most of his emotions are processed in his own thoughts. He feels that he can take care of himself and keep everything inside, which is probably one of the reasons he acts out on a regular basis. He has only opened up to Scott (to an extent) and even then, there isn't a lot that he wants to talk about when it comes to his own emotions. When he comes to visit Scott before the big game in 2x11, he asks why the dog on the table smells funny and learns that his powers can be used for the good of others, too. Dr. Deaton places Isaac's hand on the dying dog and Isaac absorbs a bit of the dog's pain, crying when he realizes what he had just done. This is the only time we see Isaac cry. Though, even if he isn't interested in talking about himself, he is very expressive with his features and hands, though it mostly adds up to his lips, eyes, and eyebrows.

Isaac can be an asshole. It especially shows in the second season, when his ego skyrocketed after taking the Bite. He comes off as aloof, intense and cunning. When Scott and Stiles are talking in the locker room trying to figure out how to get tickets to the secret rave, Isaac asks them how they survive and tells them to wait where they are (being rather rough with Stiles, having been gripping his shirt and patting him on the chest) as he pushes past them after they witness another lacrosse player selling tickets. He beats up the boy the seller had given the ticket to and the seller (things are being smashed, Stiles and Scott are wincing) before coming back with two tickets and shoving them both into his teammates' hands.

Beneath his aloof exterior, Isaac can and does care for his friends, even if it may come off as beating someone up in order to prove a point. He is a genuine person and wants to help save people alongside Scott and Derek, even if he is still clouded by his opinions of the alpha pack. He still blames them for the deaths that are happening in Beacon Hills and claims that he will kill the twins if given the chance.

Abilities: Isaac is a werewolf! this comes with a huge package of Fun Things.
psychological characteristics (especially on the full moon): increased sexual desire, homicidal tendencies, rebelliousness/distrust of authoritative figures, animalistic mannerisms, aberrant behavior and an increase of risk taking.

Isaac is also a fairly good fighter by himself (thanks to Derek's training) and that is also enhanced by his supernatural abilities.

werewolf abilities!
enhanced everything humans want ever. no, let's be serious here.
enhanced strength, speed, agility.
accelerated healing rate (within a few seconds unless a wound is given by an alpha).
senses are heightened. this includes hearing, smelling and seeing.
pain transference: can absorb a small amount of pain from humans or animals.

WEAKNESSES.
Isaac is triggered by small enclosed spaces (claustrophobia ) -- he was locked in a freezer for punishment -- or abuse.

wolfsbane poisons and will kill werewolves unless immediately taken care of.

mountain ash, when poured in a circle, prevents werewolves or other supernatural creatures from entering a certain area. when injected into the bloodstream, it can cause severe pain and internal bleeding.

SAMPLES
First Person:
[isaac's voice is close to becoming strained when he speaks up. he waited a few hours on purpose to see what exactly the network was, which turned out to be a bunch of people doing a mass-video chat most of the time. he's investigated 'his' house already.]

Alright, I'm sure this isn't a dream.

[even if it is, he's not really sure anyone is capable of a dream like this.]

Can someone tell me where a good place to eat is? Do they have Mexican here?

[and, lastly, but certainly the most important,]

If anyone knows about Beacon Hills, or better, Scott McCall, let me know.

[because he definitely needs to talk to someone about his powers suddenly disappearing.]

Third Person:
Isaac thinks it's a dream at first, waking up on a lawn chair he knows he's never sat in before. He isn't the type to sleep outside at all, which starts to send danger signals to his mind. His fists clench as he sits up, forcing him to feel the set of keys in his hand. Frowning, he opens his hand slowly, staring down at the keys in his palm quizzically. This isn't a prank. This isn't the alphas, this is real.

The entire place feels different to him. He wants to think it's because he's groggy from sleep, but as he stands and sniffs the air, all he can smell is the grass beneath his shoes and the fresh air. No scents. He tries to take out his claws, but he can't. He tries to shift, but he can't. He has nothing.

He feels a rush of panic.

He can't smell Scott, he can't smell Derek. He doesn't even know if it's even possible the two of them are here. He can hear his heartbeat in his ears and he decides that the only reasonable thing to do is go inside the house and take apart as many things as possible to see if he can find some kind of clue to what happened to his powers. His breath is shaky as he walks up to the front door. He has to take a few deep breaths before actually unlocking and opening the door.

He stands in the foyer for seconds that seem like minutes that seem like hours as he stares into the house, taking in everything, until he breaks. He drops the keys and begins to frantically look through every drawer he can find. He can fix it later, he just needs to find something to confirm what's going on.
