It was very strange, yet also very curious. In this new world, where everyone had wings, Sophie found herself asking a lot of questions (How did they have wings? Did they grow when she wasn't looking? Could she fly?), as she tried to adjust. At first, Sophie had found her newfound wings to be rather uncomfortable, too, or at least fairly distracting, but she had soon enough gotten used to them being there... or, well, she had accepted that because everyone else had wings, she did, too. As time wore on, Sophie had more pressing concerns on her mind, such as how she would properly protect her friends in this place, how the sopherias were doing back in Lhant... and if she could eat crablettes here, too.
Today, Sophie was outside gardening, having received some seed packets from the friends she had made here. Sophie had managed to start a small garden in the time since she had arrived in the village, and now that winter was over, it was the perfect time to start planting. Although her reading skills were still at a very basic level, Sophie studied hard whenever she could, practicing her reading and writing, and had started to keep a journal on flowers, like Asbel's father did. Picking up the first packet, Sophie read the name of the flower carefully, she looked for the matching marker she had placed in the ground beforehand, where the seeds would be planted.
"Zinnias..." she mused aloud, placing the seeds in the ground, "They looked really colorful in the pictures. Will I have a colorful garden, too?" Sophie certainly hoped so; a big garden full of colorful flowers would be a wonderful reward for her hard work. Perhaps she could even acquire some sopheria seeds as well, and have a blossomgale even here- wouldn't that be the best?
Yes, that would definitely be wonderful.
