IC INFORMATION Characters Name: Yosuke Hanamura Age: 17 (for another 94 days (yes I counted)) Canon: Persona 4 Canon Point: Post-original game, True Ending Species: Human Gender: Male Orientation: Heterosexual. Yosuke is shown to be attracted to several female characters and shows no solid romantic interest in any male friends.
History:http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Yosuke_Hanamura Appearance:Link Personality: Yosuke is the quintessential loser. Whenever something bad can possibly happen to him, it usually happens. He's awkward, he's clumsy, and he tends to get frequently injured in freak accidents that can be attributed equally to bad luck and self-infliction. Due to all of these terrible qualities, Yosuke firmly believes the world, nay, the universe itself is out to get him, just for a laugh. He's definitely a 'glass is half empty' kind of guy in almost every situation, at least on the inside.
Deep inside, Yosuke is terribly lonely, with little aptitude whatsoever toward actually connecting to anyone beyond a superficial level. Yosuke doesn't want attention so much as he needs it: to be the center of everyone's world and the guy everyone knows they can always turn or look up to. Unfortunately, he lacks significant social skills and has a hard time opening up to show someone how he really is, as much as he yearns to be around people. People are frightening when you start getting into the little details of your life, and though he'll do everything he can to get you to pay attention and speak to him, he'll be on tenterhooks the whole time to make sure it's a positive impression. Before things turned around for him, he stopped even seeing people as people, but more as things he could use for his own benefit, to make his own life more bearable and nothing else. It took the death of Saki Konishi, someone he thought he loved, for him to come to realize just how warped his view of the world was.
Despite all this, Yosuke isn't as emo as one would initially expect. He keeps an upbeat, happy attitude, spiked only occasionally with bouts of extreme cynicism. He's learned to laugh at himself, twisting his awful luck and tendency toward injury to make himself look like a bit of a clown. This image is carefully cultivated, sometimes on purpose to make people smile and sometimes entirely by accident because he tends to be so clumsy. He puts on a happy face for the world around him, especially for strangers, and is swift to attempt to move in and turn a person from an unknown into a friend, when his tendency to speak without thinking doesn't land him in trouble once again. Once he's decided he likes you, Yosuke will stick by you for life, or at least until he gets some sort of clue that you don't actually like him all that much.
When he lived in a big city, before moving to Inaba, Yosuke was able to drown out his loneliness by surrounding himself with people. In Inaba, a tiny, tiny town, he couldn't do this anymore. There just weren't enough faces to go around, and to top that off, many people outright hated him for his father's store and nothing he actually had a hand in. Though he formed a couple friendships with a handful of people, there were frequent times when he was absolutely crushed by the feeling that he was alone in the world. Thanks to his true bonds with Souji Seta and the other members of the Investigation Team, his issues concerning being alone have taken a mighty beating, but he's still the kind of guy that will go to a party, invited or not, just to be around as many people as he can. Having done a lot of good and learned to accept who he is and the people around him, Yosuke has matured significantly and, though still a juvenile little dork a lot of the time, has become a better person all around.
Abilities: Yosuke possesses the power of Persona. He can manifest his inner strength as a physical entity, a representation of the god Susano-o, and use him to either physically attack or use various magic-like abilities. Unlike most Personas, Susano-o is intentionally designed as a jack of all trades rather than specialized in its utility. His Persona confers enhanced strength and resilience in combat as well as immunity to Wind-based damage of all kinds. Other specific abilities are:
- Brave Blade, a massive physical strike on a single opponent with Susano-o's giant buzz-saw - Garudyne, an immense blast of wind strong enough to flay the flesh off a single opponent - Magarudyne, an even larger wind gust that can hit multiple opponents - Masukukaja, a spell that temporarily, greatly increases the reflexes of nearby allies - Wind Amp, an always-on ability that further increases the power of his wind-based spells - Wind Break, a spell to nullify an enemy's resistance to wind damage temporarily - Diarama, a spell that heals moderate damage on a single ally - Dekaja, a spell to nullify enemy magic that enhances their physical abilities Other: I got nothing.

Okay, folks, I get the gist of this place. Trapped in suburbia, fake family, blah blah blah, I'm not gonna say it makes sense but that's just how it goes. But, there's something really I need to ask, like, now: where do I get video games and music? And while we're on the subject, is there any way to, you know, get on the internet?
[No, it's not just for porn, he has legit internet needs!]
I mean, you guys, you're all great and stuff. Especially you, Rise-chan. But a great big chatroom does not a world wide web make, you know what I mean? Or is that part of the whole 'cut off from the rest of the world, if there even is a rest of the world' thing this town has going on? God, this place is creepy... Uh, yeah, so, directions to somewhere selling games and CDs would be cool, and the location of a computer that isn't a piece of crap, too, please, thanks in advance!
Third Person: "Ugh..."
Food was free, but nothing else. That meant Yosuke needed a job if he wanted the stuff that made his world go 'round, and in a twist of fate he saw coming from a mile away, that meant he was working at Holly-Mart. And of course, saying he had experience and knowledge in stuff more important than worker monkey didn't mean a thing, so to the bottom rung of the ladder he went. Every menial, awful little thing that needed done in the sprawling store was on his shoulders, and either this place fell apart even more than Junes had back home or he owed the lower-rung employees back home a pat on the back for putting up with this.
Stocking shelves wasn't so bad. Neither was escorting people to stuff, as long as he knew where the things they needed actually were. No, that he could do, but this? Working a plunger on a stuck toilet? This was not the kind of thing someone who saved the human race and faced down a goddess in battle - and won! - should have to put up with. Grumbling audibly, thankfully alone in the bathroom with an Out Of Order sign to give him this little respite, he kept telling himself both in his mind and under his breath that this was beneath him. It definitely wasn't worth what he strongly suspected to be the minimum wage in this crazy town, that was for damn sure.
But plunge the toilet he did, and after a good five minutes of growing frustration and increased foulness of the language coming out of his mouth, it finally flushed. One thorough hand-washing later, he was back out again and on the floor. Maybe it was time to restock the cookies that mysteriously vanished when he wasn't looking, or to start bagging someone's disgustingly-huge load of groceries, or maybe there were just thirty bags of trash that needed taken out. Whatever the situation might be, Yosuke was on the case. Whether he liked it or not.
