She wasn't sure about how she felt being made to go to school once more. This was a big school. She'd heard about them before, the big schools out in the city, the ones with multiple floors, nearly a hundred classrooms. It was odd, compared to Hinamizawa's single-room schoolhouse, with grades four through twelve mixed together. Apparently this place only had highschoolers. How crazy was that? She'd heard of this type of school from Shion, but never thought she'd actually see one in person, let alone attend one. The unused classrooms she found struck a sad note in her, though, as she pattered through the halls after being told to go home for the day.
Mion was alone. No one was there to walk home with her, no one to hit with her bag and then have a race down the dirt roads, laughing until it hurt. So many of these rooms were unused, gone to waste, when so many of her own days were in a little classroom filled to the brim. It was nice to sit in them, alone. Granted she ollied on out before the building was closed up for the day, and left if she was told to, but...
A certain unease welled up inside of her whenever she had to think about home. Did she really get killed? Was she really shot, by...by...Takano? She found it hard to believe a regular old kindly nurse could be the orchestrator of widescale demise, but memories were memories, and hers didn't seem to be lying to her. She still wondered what that void was, though. What did Rika call it, a kakera space? Kakera, huh...She wasn't sure if she believed that either. Was it really possible to jump through worlds like that, and if it was, did Keiichi really go succumb to that awful disease and kill her, in one of these other universes? How many of them were murderers? If someone she knew showed up here, what would they remember?
It was almost too much to bear. At least she was able to get a sewing machine here. Maybe she could make new costumes, if her friends ever turned up.
Yeah...that was a reason to look up.
