Personality: Going back to the entire issue of being laid back and optimistic, there have been a number of times that Utena has shown some examples. Mostly with some of the other characters either acting out, and/or even challenging her to a duel in the worst way possible. After all is said and done, she's fine just hanging out and keeping in touch. Sometimes even offering a bit of assistance where necessary, it's hard to say if this is a gal that holds any real grudges.
This is not to say that she'll just sit back and take things as they are. In the manga it is noted that she did come to Ohtori Academy because she felt this was the key to meeting her prince once more. It's clear that this shows her ability to take the intiative than just sitting back and waiting for what may come. Even in the duel battles in the anime, she feels more inclined to continue defending Anthy's honor because she feels like she's being close to the prince in doing this.
Maybe it's because of this way of being that she could accept the abnormal for what it is and move on. Or maybe she really is so single-minded and determined to not only be with the prince once more, but becoming one that she doesn't care to get caught up in the details. Whatever it may be, it's something that she feels works for her, you know, until it ultimately doesn't. Not completely either way. Eventually she does learn humility, but she is still quite a way from discovering this side of her yet.
