IC INFORMATION Characters Name: Eric Soult Age: 17 Canon:K Project Canon Point: Chapter 10 in the manga K - Memory of Red. Datewise, November, having been with Homra for seventh months. A year before the anime starts. Species: Human Gender: Male Orientation: Not over 18 yet. However, Eric wouldn’t be very comfortable living with anyone that he doesn’t really know due to his history, and he hasn’t shown any signs of being interested in anyone. But he is more comfortable around guys since he’s in a gang filled with them. So either or, but guys are the less awkward of the choice
History:Here Appearance: : Eric is a tall, lanky slim built guy. He has shoulder length blond hair and bangs that can easily hide his blue eyes. He generally wears a blue and white hoodie that’s a bit too big for him with camo capris pants and loafers. One ref and another ref Personality: Eric is a very blunt young man that almost always comes off as rude in the beginning. When he first goes to Homra, Eric refuses to speak anything but English to Yata because Yata had been rude in their first meeting. Only after gentle prodding from another member of the group, Fujishima, does he begin to say things more politely. Because of the way he lived before that, he didn’t need any manners. Or rather, his manners were linked to the way he was believed to be, a dog.
He is also a very quiet person. Generally seen just sitting and not moving from that spot for hours at a time, or following someone else as they do an errand, Eric is very awkward in actual social situations. Having a hard time giving his opinions (unless to make fun of something or someone) or talking about himself, he is either soft spoken and shy or snaps at people; there is rarely an in-between. He needs to be kept an eye on him at times, because he rarely eats, either forgetting or refusing to do so, because he feels that he hasn’t done anything to deserve it.
Eric does not think very highly of himself. Because of the environment he had lived in for quite some time, he refers to himself as a dog, something that obeys orders from his master and receives food as a reward. If his use were to dry up, he would be killed, so he tried to remain useful in order to live. Even though he wasn’t treated nicely by his former group, he remained because of his loyalty, saying that it was his whole world before Homra had defeated them. He had never even thought, or believed that he deserved, to ask for help, believing he was nothing more than a lowlife dog. Now that he is a part of Homra, Eric sticks with them; Homra is his new home. His loyalty to them showed even earlier, when he was shocked and worried over accidentally hurting Fujishima, whom had saved his life and helped him while he stayed at the bar. He had been trying to kill Totsuka at the time, as he had been ordered to. He had to kill Totsuka or Mikoto, or die trying. Even though he had tried to follow through with it, he wasn’t thinking of killing anyone, it was mainly just for survival. Having some of his childhood taken away from him, Eric can act sometimes innocently towards something he’s never experienced, seen, or heard before. He hasn’t had many opportunities that a lot of other people have had and do on a daily basis. He’s gotten excited at the thought of shopping and buying a present for Anna, whose birthday was approaching, having probably never done that, or at least not since he had gone into Hikawa.
Because of his time with Homra, however, Eric has gotten better and has opened up. No longer as awkward as he was before, he is able to voice his opinion on occasion, eat a bit more frequently, and be able to interact with more people. He still is quiet and shy and can still be rude and blunt to others he doesn’t know as well, or doesn’t like. His manners have improved though he will occasionally forget them. Homra’s influence has given him a better life and has slowly been replacing his bad memories with good ones.
Abilities: : Having joined HOMRA, Eric received the red aura from the red clan’s king, Mikoto Suoh. So he is able to conjure up flames and a red aura around himself. Though how well he uses it isn’t known, he can use it averagely and rarely.
He also has some skill with using knives to attack people, so if there is one around and he is in trouble he can do well to defend himself.
Other: Eric can’t swim, at all. Especially at this canon point since he hasn’t learned.
Though he’s bilingual, it’s most likely Eric doesn’t have much of an education, having been basically kidnapped into a mafia group at an early age, so his reading skills aren’t that great (probably worse for English) and his writing is quite poor.
His birthday is March 19th~
Because he’s with Homra, Eric has a tattoo of the Homra insignia on his left shoulder, it’s red.
Also a note on the icons, although he looks like he’s bruised, especially on the neck, all of those are gone now. Unfortunately he doesn’t have much panel time after his first appearance so ones where he doesn’t look hurt are a bit rare.
Third Person: Eric could basically take the random showing up in a new world, with other people from different worlds. He could take being from the supposed past compared to the people he knew from his own world. He could take the whole not having his powers, Kusanagi had explained he could get them back after a while. He could even take avoiding all the swimming pools because no way in hell he was going to try to get near one.
What he couldn’t take was the instant family.
The package he only half read decently had mentioned something about having a family here, and he hadn’t believed it at first. But, when he opened the door to find his new ‘parents’ well, let’s just say he didn’t spend a whole lot of time at ‘home’.
He had tried to stay with the other HOMRA members but they, too, had families now and having an extra person in those houses wasn’t the most convenient. Kusanagi had even talked to him that it was something everyone had trouble dealing with at first and the sooner Eric adjusted to it, the easier he would find the place to live in. Apparently it wasn’t as bad as it seemed.
At least when he had first gone into HOMRA, it wasn’t exactly a family setting, he was used to the chaos of a bunch of people hanging out and doing things on their own anytime. It had been a good transition from what he was used to. There weren’t really any responsibilities (Except for not destroying the bar) and not really any chores…
He was used to that. Not to…whatever it was in that house. Even though it wasn’t an actual family, it still didn’t feel right to him.
Eric sighed, heading back over to his new home. He may as well get this over with. One thing he was getting better at was adapting to strange settings.
At least this wasn’t the worst one he’s been through.
