[He looks back and forth as if to check for someone who might be sneaking up behind him.]
Is this real? Hey, people out there, are you real? No, never mind, you wouldn’t tell me if you weren’t…
Sonia-san? Hinata? Are you here too? [He whispers. As if that does anything.]
There doesn’t seem to be any mutual killing going on here yet…But I’m sure this is some sort of mind trick to get my hopes up and then crush them, isn’t it? I’m not falling for such an obvious trick!
Monobear, show yourself! I’ve figured you out!
[Except he doesn’t really want to see Monobear again. Ever.]
…Actually, show yourself to someone else and then tell them to tell me that you showed yourself and I was right. I’ll be waiting…
Third Person: At first, this whole situation seemed pretty great. Sure, he was once again displaced to some unknown location, but that bit didn’t really bother him the first time, either. Being on a tropical island with only a few other people sounded like a pretty great deal. This place, while certainly no island, didn’t seem that bad either. In fact, he was pretty much about to declare himself home free and start celebrating.
But what was it that had enough power to bring him to some random island spontaneously last time? That stupid bear. As that was the only previous time anything like that had happened, before now one hundred percent of his experiences with arriving at strange new locations with no idea of how he got there were caused by Monobear. Thus, it was only natural to deduce that he was here by Monobear’s hand, too. At least, that was the safe assumption.
The tone of this letter he received reeked of Monomi’s friendliness, too, and he knew how quickly that all went out the window. Still, it might be legitimate…this was a nice house, nicer than he’d ever lived in. It would be pretty great if he could just enjoy it…but then it’d hurt more if it was all taken away and he was thrown back onto that island, wouldn’t it? That’d surely be one of the most despair-inducing tricks of all time. And Souda decided he wouldn’t be falling for it.
First things first: he had to get in contact with the others, if they were here. Especially Sonia and Hinata, but the rest, too, although there were a few he’d be more than happy to avoid. There was a car outside, right? A working car. If there were more working machines here he might be able to piece some sort of escape method together…assuming any of this was real at all. Well, he’d deal with that possibility if it came up.
