IC INFORMATION
Characters Name: Aladdin
Age: 12
Canon: Magi: Labyrinth of Magic
Canon Point: End of Chapter 148
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Orientation: He's kind of young but has definitely displayed an interest in women? It's probably never going to be pertinent but we'll say straight-leaning unknown for now.

History: http://magi.wikia.com/wiki/Aladdin
Appearance: See the picture with the link above, it actually fits my canon point perfectly!
Personality:
Aladdin is the titular magi of his series, one of the heroes of the story, and one of the most powerful wizards in his world. That's a lot of pressure for one kid, but he handles it with aplomb.

In many ways Aladdin is surprisingly normal for a 12 year old kid. He's friendly, enthusiastic about adventuring, has a voracious appetite, and is a little bit of pervert when it comes to beautiful women. Often times his friends comment that his leisure time preferences are those of someone really 'manly', but Aladdin himself is a pretty earnestly youthful guy. He's got boundless energy cooped up in his small frame and a naiveté and idealism that goes with it. Having spent much of his young life imprisoned with a genie, certain parts of everyday life are new or curious to him when they wouldn't normally be. What's remarkable is the optimism and good humor he faces these new things with. Challenges and good fortune are met with a grin that Aladdin makes sure not to let disappear.

However, there are also things about Aladdin's personality that are quite unusual and distinctly special. With his curious nature comes an unexpectedly mature perspective to evaluate the information he encounters. An intuitive understanding of human nature and a keen perception of people's emotions allow Aladdin to help others, which he tends to go out his way to do. Whether it's someone he's only met or a close friend, Aladdin will often surprise that person with how quickly he catches on to the nature of their situation. When something is bothering someone he likes it troubles him too so he often tries to help as much as he can, even if that sometimes means acting in ways that don't initially make sense to others. This wisdom beyond his years stems in part from his natural affinity for the Rukh. The Rukh is the term for the flow of all life energy and metaphysical forces at work in the world. As a magi, Aladdin can see and interact with Rukh in ways that others can't. This means he can also see how those energies interact with those around others and if they're in danger.

The Rukh and Aladdin's inherent bond to it also means that he has a natural talent for magic. This ends up turning him into quite an academic over the series, forging bonds with various other magicians and studying seriously to become the best magi he can be with his own power. His natural draw is to heat magic, but he's been shown to use all sorts of eclectic abilities in creative ways. Fighting isn't his first choice, but he also understands the importance and inevitability of protecting himself and others. He's been shown to be a tenacious combatant who is surprisingly thoughtful and pragmatic in battle.

In contrast, Aladdin is a goofball, a joker, and sometimes a bit immature and giggly around his friends. During down time he's shown to like to flirt with and grope women, tease his guy friends and rile them up, and often is shown wanting to see the sights in any location the gang reaches on their journey. It's during these moments that it's easiest to see Aladdin as a kid again, his supernatural intelligence dwarfed by his wonder at life. At times those two halves of his personality, the magician and the boy, can seem to be in contest. In his world, there are a lot of things Aladdin is expected to do and for him the difficulty of his quest is making sure to follow his own path. Surrounded by kings, warriors, sages, and other powerful figures, it would be easy for Aladdin to throw his lot in with any number of people. It speaks to who Aladdin is and wants to be at his core that he picks his friends and loved ones first every time.

Martial Arts: Aladdin has trained his body to handle one-on-one combat as well as the wear of a battleground in general. He's also fairly adept combining them with his magic.

Bolg- Forcefield of his own magical life energy.

Heat Magic- Aladdin's natural magical leaning, he can create pillars of fire, balls of fire, and control them to various ends. He's learning more with this ability all the time.

When Aladdin woke up he realized he didn't remember going to sleep. He had been in front of the rest of his school, casting a spell to pass his exams. He remembered controlling a great pillar of fire all around him, the cries of his classmates surprise. It was possible it had drained his energy, prompting him to pass out, but based on how he felt now that didn't seem right. Looking up, he saw a clear, normal sky, but not a view he was accustomed to.

As he surveyed his surroundings from the strange seat he had been placed in, his confusion grew. The street was still, calm, neat, and weirdly uniform. Every home looked the same like a bunch of models or toys lined up by a determined kid. If he had come here on his own, he would have found it interesting or at least something worth finding out about. As it was currently, he merely found each new feature of the place to be unnerving. Then he realized something even stranger, even if it was only strange for him.

There was no Rukh. None at all. Aladdin couldn't see the flow of energy around him, not a single hint of the life energy that populated all cities, towns, and even the most remote homes and sanctuaries. It wasn't possible, it was almost enough to make him want to cry for a moment. Instead, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes. Letting his senses rest he continued to slowly inhale and exhale.

After a moment he opened his eyes and smiled. This place certainly didn't seem to be abandoned, even though something was dampening his magic and his connection to the Rukh. That meant that the energies were all around him although they remained unseen. Comforted by this, he rose from his chair. People would have answers if he asked the right questions. Also, they would hopefully have some kind of tasty food.
