do not post applications until the subject says OPEN

APPLICATION REMINDERS;
  • LOOK HERE FIRST If you would like your application to be unscreened please put your application here! If you want to put your application on the screened post, put it here.
  • Before applying make sure you read the application explanation!
  • Do not link applications. Post them in comments!
  • Please fill out every portion, except possibly the orientation section if it does not apply to you and the other section since it is not necessary unless you need it.
  • ALL CHARACTERS 18+ MUST FILL OUT THE ORIENTATION SECTION THIS DOES NOT MEAN ONE WORD. IT MEANS AS IT STATES IN THE APPLICATION EXPLANATION.
  • Only one sample must be linked. Please do not link two samples.
  • If you are putting a housing request in please include a number. If you do not, then it will not be considered. The reason being is that simply putting a name does not help me if the character has not yet apped either. Discuss it together and find a house to put yourself in that fits with your slotting and preferences.
  • Please make sure you run your app sections (personality/samples) through a word counter. I use this one! If they don't comply with the minimum word counts, then no dice.
  • The age rule is non-negotiable. You can beg me to put your 14 looking character who is actually a gazillion in a kid slot all you want but it will not happen.
  • You do not need to reply to your acceptance logged in as the journal. You just need to tell me the journal name so I can accept it to the communities.

    History: Wikia Link
Appearance: The one of the left, hair color may vary.
Personality: Morgan can be seen as a foil to most of the second generation characters (the children) in the series. He's shown to be upbeat, playful, and brings a comedic effect after waves of rather depressing backstories from a dark future. Morgan is strongly suggested (if not outright) to be from a different timeline from any of the other characters. This makes him unique, but at the same time since he suffers from amnesia, it's hard to know how much his timeline affected how he's become the young man he is. Still, Morgan is shown to have a solid, well described personality throughout the game which makes him one of the most endearing, optimistic characters in the game. Yet that doesn't mean Morgan has never suffered, as he mentions to have lost his mother in his timeline and never wants to lose her again. He doesn't let the sad, hard, and even depressing events get to him and keep him down. Yet sometimes they do, and even his happy, childlike attitude is overshadowed. He's not the type to mope around, but improve himself and the situation. He keeps fighting and supporting his allies. In his support conversations, he's very willing to help out other people and learn from them, too. He admires people who are skilled and talented at fighting, too. He also seems to appreciate cooking, as in Severa's support conversations. He does hold some sentimental value, believing love, kindness, and heart affect how one fights and cooks. He's also big on making a difference and restoring peace through action (as seen in his support conversation with Nah). He's also a part of the Justice Cabal who strive to basically promote heroic acts and be cuties.

This can be seen in his support conversations with his father, as he tries really hard (literally hard as he's so desperate he bangs his head against a wall) to remember even the tiniest thing about his father. Still, he doesn't give up, eventually remembering a tiny memory about his father. Just that tiny memory alone brings him a great amount of joy, and he's content that he now remembers something about his own father. It's also important to note, initially if Morgna's father is not Chrom, he cannot have siblings. If Morgan has siblings, it's also shown he is has a fondness for them and cares for them. As male Morgan can only have Lucina as a sibling, in their support conversation shows that he rather pretend not to be skilled with the Falchion so he can give Lucina a determination to stay alive and be with him. Lucina also describes Morgan as a little brother as someone she watched after and took care of. So TL;DR: he is a cute little brother who wants his sister to be happy (if he has one). Once again proving while he may only remember his mother, he comes to care deeply in game for those who are his family, even if he can't remember them initially. Family is dear to him and he tries to be a good brother and son.

Since he has amnesia, Morgan seems to only remember his mother -- the most important person to him. He can easily be described as a momma's boy, always talking highly of his mother and following in her footsteps to say the least (sometimes literally). Most of his game dialog mentions his mother outright or alludes to his mother. His mother has inspired Morgan to become the young man who he is today. His dialog in game tell us that he reads battle tactics like his mother, studying them (or tries too), showing a great passion for tactics. He knows he's not as a good as his mother, but he'd like to be and that's why he is trying so hard. He's very eager to learn from his mother, asking her to share tips and explain to him how she figured his plots out. He has even tried to see if his battle tactics and sneaky plots work on his mother, but she always seems one step ahead of him. Their relationship is very good to say the least, and Morgan seems to be the ideal son who wants to carry on his mother's legacy. Morgan is also trying to impress his mother and get her attention (“How could you steal from me? I was going to buy more books, and... and... And knock Mother's socks off when she saw how much I'd learned! How dare you interfere with my ploys to get attention!”). He knows his mother is very busy, but at the same time he wants to spend time with her. He can be hard on himself, though, as he mentions repeatedly he is not as skilled as his mother ("I think my brain is melting... I'll never be a master tactician at this rate!"), he still tries anyway.

Morgan can be a little strange at first before he gets to know someone as well. He is friendly, though, and doesn't seem to be shy about getting to know others. When he finds someone as a problem, he genuinely does want to help them. This can be seen in his support conversation with Noire and how he attempts to deal with her phobia of bugs. On another note, he enjoys collecting insects and bugs, but he seems to loath cockroaches. There is a childlike innocence to Morgan, which makes him such a lighthearted, uplifting character as mentioned before. If he does make a mistake, he tries his best to correct it and is sincere in his apologies. When it comes to romance, he can be shy about his true, romantic feelings about a person. He also comes to really accept who the person is, not wanting them to change who they are in the end (as seen in Noire's and Cynthia's support conversation). In other cases, depending on who he ends up falling in love with, he can appear almost calm and very collected about it. This can be seen in Lucina's support conversation if they are not siblings. As she confesses to him, he remains calm, easily accepting the notion of marriage without a second thought. Overall he's very supportive as a friend, son, and a lover. He'll do what he can to help his close friends, even suffering through a little pain or committing a white lie, in order to do what he feels needs to be done or should be done.

    Characters Name: Koujaku (紅雀)
Age: Never stated, but he's older than Aoba (23), but they were childhood friends so he can't be that old. I put him around 25-28.
    Canon: DRAMAtical Murder
Canon Point: End of common route, after talking to Aoba.
    Species: Human
    Gender: Male
Orientation: Technically bisexual, but heavily leaning towards women. Koujaku, while in a BL game, is shown as a playboy type of character who is quite the womanizer (despite saying all women are treasures, but he admits, he has a hard saying no to a woman). Only if Koujaku's route is taken that his true feelings fully emerge and come to the surface. He states he's loved Aoba since they were kids, but he tried to squash his feelings since they were 1) for his best friend 2) for his male best friend 3) he didn't want to mess up what they had. Then there is the scene Koujaku references during his confession, but it occurs in the common route, where he finds Aoba physically attractive when he sees him sleeping. It's also mentioned if he does become lovers with Aoba, that he's never been with another man or fooled around with men -- Aoba is the exception. Even if Koujaku's route isn't played, it's still hinted strongly that Koujaku didn't kill himself because of Aoba before they reunite in the game. So basically tldr; can be gay for Aoba which is awkward at first because he really likes women.

    IC INFORMATION
    Characters Name: Seiko Kotobuki
Age: 14-15; she is a first-year, and Risa and Otani's underclassman.
    Canon: Lovely★Complex
    Canon Point: Pre-Chapter 56
    Species: Human
    Gender: Male/Female
    Orientation: N/A

    History:
Seiko is a relatively minor character whose development mostly happens in her aforementioned sidestory where she catches a cold, which causes her voice to deepen, and slips into a depression. In this state, Seiko renounces her female identity and instead adopts a more "manly" persona, the downcast and gruff Seishirou. As Seishirou, Seiko seeks Otani out as her master in all things masculine, but no matter what lessons Otani bestows upon her, Seiko just can't seem to fit into presenting as male. As life continues to take a figurative shit all over her, Seiko confides in Risa, saying that if she can't be cute she can't be Seiko, which caused Risa to lecture her and make it clear that Seiko's cuteness comes from within, and isn't influenced by anything to do with her physical sex. Seiko's cold conveniently and mysteriously disappears after that, and she takes Risa's words to heart before going about her merry way seducing boys and being beautiful.

    Appearance:

    Personality:
After some thought, Risa finds herself describing Seiko as a girl who is "cute but bold," and there are few descriptors that are more accurate than that simple statement. While Seiko isn't a shallow girl by any means, that isn't to say there's a lot to the inner workings of her personality either. She functions on a level that is instinctive and driven by the heart; what Seiko wants, Seiko gets, and Seiko will always be true to herself when obtaining that which she desires. In her own words, "If confessing doesn't work, you should pursue him actively and take him by force!"

One of the most prominent features about Seiko is that she's cute. She's really cute. She's really, really, really fucking cute. Squealing, giggling, and other high-pitched noises are her forte, and her large, youthful pink eyes make her a force to be reckoned with. When Risa and Nobuko first get a good look at Seiko, she's being scolded for, well-- being too cute. She was out of uniform and insisted that while she knew the rules, she just had to wear this ultra cute top to the opening ceremony. Seiko is fashion-forward and all about looking and feeling her best, but she doesn't hesitate to spread her positivity towards others with compliments and invitations to have fun. Even Nobu-chan, who first considered her a rival for cuteness, ended up taking a great liking to her once Seiko complimented her on her bracelet. If she's involved in something fun, her outgoing personality makes it easy for her to draw others in and include them. It's not just cuteness that sets her apart and makes her shine, Seiko’s sweet disposition is charismatic because it's so genuine. No matter how unlikely victory may seem, Seiko always does her best and puts herself out there so that she "may be loved wholeheartedly." It is that charisma that stirs a desire to become cuter within Risa, and makes her realize that it's her shitty personality that hinders her romantic life rather than her height. To Seiko, the rule of thumb is 'if it's cute, it's worth it,' and if something is worth it to Seiko, nothing will daunt her from her decision. She can be a bit thoughtless and air-headed, and if her reaction to Otani's basketball display is any indicator she is easily impressed too. She often claims that her "body can move before she can think." That impulsiveness makes her decide to kiss Otani, and in a darker contrast, lose complete faith in her femininity and identity when her voice deepens due to a cold the day she wishes to confess to a boy.

As stated, Seiko's impulsiveness can get her into delicate situations, especially in regards to her gender identity and sexuality. Upon finding herself crushing on another boy, Seiko went to confess to him, naturally. However, things took a turn for the worst when she found her voice deepening into something that wasn't cute or chic, something that definitely wasn't "Seiko." Distraught, she attempted to transition back into presenting as male, but found that it wasn't so simple. Thankfully, Risa was able to remind Seiko that "Seishirou", her brth name, isn't who she really is and that Seiko doesn't need to change for anyone. Risa's encouragement gives Seiko a renewed sense of self and makes her able to appreciate her love of all things girlish because that's what she is-- a girl. After all, she likes boys, cute things, pretty clothes, styling her hair... What's not girlish about any of that?

In spite of her thoughtlessness at times however, she would never recklessly hurt anyone if she could help it. Until she is resigned to Otani's true feelings for Risa, she keeps her rivalry with Risa friendly and even acts as an encouraging and motivating force for the other girl to make a move. Even with Nobuko's comically two-faced envy of her feminine charm at first, and her romantic rivalry with Risa over Otani's love, Seiko remains good friends with the girls and certainly cares for them greatly.

Seiko keeps an upbeat attitude no matter what the circumstances and always seems to be having fun, both in love and her every day life. This cheerfulness lends itself to a tenacity that can almost be overbearing and obnoxious, but it also helps Seiko get what she wants without distraction or fail. Even though the beginnings of her interactions with the main cast were subdued in manner, such as when she was stalking Otani, she proves herself to be anything but shy later. She happily grabs onto Otani and even attends the school culture festival as a maid in the obligatory maid&butler cafe. Even when faced with a scary situation, her reactions are comically chic, filled with gratuitous cheek-holding and knee-buckling. She's just stereotypically painfully feminine. She's incredibly sweet in everything she does; even just standing there, she radiates a sugary and feminine charm that most just can't resist. Even Nobu-chan ends up succumbing to Seiko's charms; "She's just too sweet!"However, that isn't to say that there isn't a more sensitive or vulnerable side to her. When a pair of shitty bullies found out about Seiko and Otani's little rendezvous in the infirmary, they confront her about her feelings for him and insist that there's no way Otani would like someone like "him". Seiko's birth sex was treated as if it were hot gossip. Upon their departure, Seiko bore nothing but a smile, but Risa didn't approve of their words. She shouted at the two girls for their callousness before turning to Seiko and trying to figure out why she let those girls get away with saying such rude things to her. Seiko starts to say she's used to such treatment because of who she is, but with further prodding, Risa is able to coax a good round of tears out of her. The truth is, being transgender isn't easy, even for someone as sweet, charismatic and genuine as Seiko, who has to face the reality of being rejected by boys she likes and not being considered a "real girl" by her peers, and even if she takes it in stride, she still worries that Otani will think she's disgusting. Luckily for her, Otani didn't mind, and rejected her advances solely on the grounds that he didn't feel for her as deeply as she did him.

There is also another darker aspect to her personality, her "other" self that goes by her birth name Seishirou. Seishirou is a stupid gloomy asshole who hates herself and thinks she's "disgusting" because she's trapped in a cissexist society with no way of making everyone accept her. She forces an array of stereotypical male traits onto herself ranging from sad and alarming, to downright comical, and this impossibly difficult transition period for her is a good indicator of who the person Seiko used to be was like before she came out. Seishirou is bitter, gloomy, and everything "he" does is forced. Because "he" cannot engage in the things Seiko loves with a passion, "he" is very subdued and restrained and quite miserable due to lacking any real desire in "his" life. Risa is the first person to notice this (even Otani was blind to it even though Seishirou asked him to be "his" tutor in all things manly) and eventually talks Seiko into going back to being her honest self when she tries to take one final stand in throwing her real self away. Once her cold passes, Seiko realizes that being true to herself is what makes her happiest and she returns to normal. As Risa says, "The happy Seiko is the one who gives me confidence." After that, it's just a matter of skipping up to Kohori (her new love interest once she gives up on Otani), kissing him, and asking him to be her boyfriend.

Despite her fears, with Risa and Nobuko's counsel, Seiko is able to put on a bright smile once again and even declares Risa her love-rival (an essential in any girl's romantic drama!) without missing a beat. Because of her fierce tenacity in spite of the hardships she faces by being transgendered, Risa sees her as a source of inspiration, and who wouldn't? Seiko is a strong, capable, independent young woman who knows who she is and stays true to herself no matter what. No matter what life seems to throw at her, she never gives up and always maintains a brave face. Even if she cracks, which happens rarely, she still holds herself together as tightly as she can and in the end, is destined to always get what she wants.

Abilities: Seiko is an ordinary, if not lively, girl. She has no special powers or abilities, has no remarkable talents, isn't even all that smart or exceptionally well-behaved at school. Her worth mainly lies with her strong, resolute heart, and ability to never give up on herself or those she cares about. However, if giving advice about love, having an eye for fashion, and falling in love at the drop of a hat are talents, then no one is more gifted than Seiko.

Orientation: No preference! The only situations where it might have come up, he doesn't display any romantic interest at all. Like, there was the time in kindergarten where he let a girl kiss him because she had a crush on him, even though he didn't share her feelings, just because he knew she wanted to. Also, while the other guys are jealous of the attention that a thinner Kamamoto seems to be attracting, all Shouhei can think about is whether or not that was really Kamamoto at all. He's just cool with everyone, pretty much. (And let's be real, he's totally the type of guy who'd marry a friend to keep them from getting kicked out of the country or something.)

    [personal profile] harmonia 2013-12-01 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
Personality: Shouhei is bright and cheerful and eternally friendly. He almost always has a smile on his face and he tends to get along with people easily—he was apparently pretty popular in school and became fast friends with the rest of HOMRA when he joined, chatting cheerfully and teasing and playing around as if he'd known them forever. Shouhei's pretty open-minded and usually relaxed, too. Bandou complains about how even though Shouhei is better than him at a lot of things, he still treats him as an equal. Shouhei doesn't get mad at him even though Bandou always gets upset and complains about petty things, and even considers him a close friend despite all of that. Shouhei doesn't seem to upset easily, and it's probably safe to say that it takes a lot to really get on his nerves.

If there's one thing Shouhei loves, it's helping people. Bandou says that as long as someone needs help, Shouhei would agree to do it, regardless of what it's about. There doesn't seem to be much of a line as far as what he won't do to help someone out, either. Bandou complains about the time in kindergarten when Shouhei kissed a girl who had a crush on him, even though he didn't share her feelings, simply because he knew she wanted to. The whole reason he joined HOMRA was to help out a friend, too. Even though he was nervous about it, he was willing to join a gang in order to gain their power just to get a friend out of a rough spot. He was even willing to confront a notorious drug-dealing gang all by himself for the sake of someone else. Needless to say, Shouhei's a pretty reliable friend. He's someone that can be counted on for just about anything.

For as eager as he is to help, though, Shouhei doesn't like troubling others. When asked about why he wanted to join HOMRA, he brushed it off, saying, "Well, why not?" and still didn't admit to what his real plans were when Totsuka invited him to talk if he had anything on his mind. Despite having joined HOMRA, he still considered it his responsibility and wanted to take care of it himself. Joining HOMRA supposedly meant gaining power, and that power was what he needed to help his friend. Bandou describes a younger Shouhei as being a show-off, and that's still pretty true. He had been incredibly determined to handle a tough situation alone despite having new comrades who should logically have his back. Not only that, but once he and Bandou actually confronted the enemy, it was clear how quickly and easily Shouhei got wrapped up in the fighting. He got carried away, striking without hesitation and almost losing himself to his own strength. He might not seem violent, but Shouhei values strength and power, and he definitely enjoys a good fight.

Other than that, Shouhei's a pretty easygoing guy. Even though he can be violent, he's so kind and generous, you'd probably never guess it. He cares a lot about his friends, both in and out of HOMRA—from little things like teaching someone how to swim to bigger things like taking on an entire gang, there's probably nothing he won't do for someone else. Even though he teases Bandou, he's genuinely grateful to have him as a friend, and even kind of looks up to him. Considering that Shouhei's probably the more mature of the two, that says a lot about him. He looks past all his friend's pettiness and complaints because he knows that deep down, he's a good person. Shouhei's definitely the type of person who'd look for and appreciate the good things about a person over their flaws. Even then, though, he's no pushover—he's definitely not someone you'd want to make an enemy of.
Abilities: As a member of HOMRA, Shouhei has access to the fire-based powers passed on to him through the Red King. He's seen shooting a ball of fire from his hands at a member of Scepter 4 in the anime, though it's likely he can manipulate his flame in other ways, too. He doesn't seem to have any unique talents as far as fighting goes, only using things like baseball bats and metal rods whenever he's been involved in a fight. It's mentioned in Side: Red, however, that the clan's aura also makes someone physically stronger than the average person, so he's got that in his favor as well.

    Personality:
In his current timeline, Arthur likes to believe he has a perfect guise as a “gentleman”. He is extremely polite with strangers, and can be with close friends who don’t rub him the wrong way. He has good manners, and is always able to ask whether someone is alright should they look down. In fact, he is overly compassionate for the most part, and in canon he is seen baking to try and cheer Alfred up when he was younger. He raised America from being a child to a teenager, and while he couldn’t spend every waking moment with him, the times when they were together he treated him with love and affection. In one of the strips during Alfred’s spring clean out, Alfred recalls receiving toy wooden soldiers from Arthur that he had made and painted himself by hand. Each soldier’s expression was different and unique, proving how much time and effort he would put into making the young boy happy.

Sadly, Arthur has grown much more cynical over time. He has become a lot more bitter, and isn’t quite as open with people as he once was. He is still polite and friendly, yes, but he will not open up his heart to people in the way that he used to. Arthur is more likely to insult people should they offend him, in fact once the whole gentlemanly act is up he is much more willing to be more like himself - that is, someone more than likely to swear profusely at any given moment. He has terrible foul language when caught off guard, and it’s almost something he ends up embarrassed about, as he would deny it if he could. Rather than say he is a social or antisocial person, it would be more accurate to say he keeps to himself because of his status at home, he has to, as no one in the public can know who he is. Under circumstances where he needs to be in the public eye, however, he is more than capable of getting along with people and putting himself out there. He will be shy about it, he will clear his throat and stand there awkwardly sometimes, given the number of people he has to entertain etc. but he will be able to talk to people as well.

With this, Arthur also likes to deny that he cares about certain people. As mentioned previously in this application, Arthur’s commitment to Alfred (America) is a critical part of his personality. When he was younger he would dote on the boy as though he were a younger brother of his, maybe even a son in some instances. He visited him as often as he could, taught him as much as he could, and watched over him. Even 250 years after Alfred gains independence Arthur is shown to be hurt by him turning against him. At America’s birthday party he shoves a gift at him and doesn’t attend the general party, but meets him around the outskirts of it. He insults him, tells him that he’s a fatass for all the fast food he eats and that he’s a pain/always causing problems. He tells him his ideas are dumb. In a panel where they go out drinking together, Arthur spends the entire evening yelling about how horrible Alfred is and how upset he was by his betrayal. Underneath it all, however, he still cares a lot. In fact, a lot of the insults he throws at him (especially re: the fast food) is done to try and help Alfred from repeating his mistakes over and over.

In addition to this, Arthur’s relationship with Francis is pretty similar in the sense that Francis doted on him until their rivalry formed, and after fighting each other for years on end, he will still be at the French man’s throat for even no reason sometimes. Despite it, however, should anyone try to fight against them both, they are more than able to take the same side. This is shown in panels where they are arguing, someone steps in to say something and they both turn to tell them to shut up. That, and with the majority of the series being set during WWII they are fighting side by side at this point. Even historically England aided France during its time of needed, and the characters are based on the history of it all.

In contrast, Arthur’s relationship with Kiku is much more simple and relaxed. The same came be said for him and Matthew, as well. Arthur is much quieter and more withdrawn with people that aren’t loud and abrasive, and he will be quite happy to sit and chat over tea/coffee to pass the time. Arthur likes the quiet. He likes having his own personal space to have a time out, to simply read, sew or bake. While others may hate his baking with the strength of 1000 suns, he loves it. He’s really quite domestic, and part of that is through having lived so much already. After seeing countless wars and terrible conditions of living, the luxury of just curling up with a cup of tea, a biscuit and a book or something similar is idyllic to him at this point. He’s easily pleased. However, he would need a break from that lifestyle on occasion, as while Arthur can entertain himself easily enough, he does get lonely.

While Arthur may be the type to quietly keep to himself, this hasn’t always been the case. In the panels there is a clip of him from the 1500s where he spent his time as a pirate, constantly harassing Spain for his Queen’s benefit. There’s also the fact that he’s known for swearing like a trooper when he’s on a rant, is constantly trying to kill France and can easily turn mad when certain issues are mentioned. Alongside this more brutish side of his personality, there is also the fact that he can be a bit of a pervert. In the strips he actually has a ‘wankathon’ against France, where they both try to see who can last longer. Gross, I know.

Something that shows his loneliness is the appearance of his mystical friends - the unicorn, flying rabbit etc that appears in the panels. To the other nations (save for Norway) who don’t see anything, they believe he is merely hallucinating. Arthur is well versed in the arts of magic, however, and is even seen doing summoning spells in the series as a means to torment America especially. Magic is a part of him in his world, and it’s something he enjoys, if only for the company that these creatures bring him. He laughs when he sees them. He jokes with them and they can be there whenever he needs them. In that way, he would probably say he prefers them to people as they do not bring as much trouble with them as a person would.

In contrast to the way he can act with America and France, however, he really is quite pleasant with Canada and Japan especially. In the strips he offers Japan a deal to become friends, where they can just sit down with tea and talk and bond over how they both really prefer to have a simple lifestyle away from others. With Canada, whilst he does forget him sometimes, he cares for him and apologises profusely. He would look after him and make sure he's feeling alright, it's a much different approach to insulting America as he does. Canada can be seen as "the good kid", and that's why he can be praised and well thought of instead. Likewise, Australia and New Zealand both have been seen in the strips talking about "not upsetting Mr England" because of the dumb things Australia thinks of doing sometimes. It shows that he holds concern for them both, in contrast to the harsh way he treats America (which to him makes some sense, America is the one who "betrayed him" by leaving him.

An even more complicated situation is that with China and Hong Kong. The strips don't really outline it in as much detail as you can get historically, but it's known that China definitely holds a grudge against England for the Opium Wars and the situation with Hong Kong. He gets angry at England, whereas England feels like he can just brush it aside, in a way. Hong Kong has been seen frightening him with firecrackers, but he also does that to others, so there's no special treatment there either. Though, he does respect England enough to admit that the 150 years spent under his care has taken some effect too. In the same way, England would definitely still see him as "his" in his own way.

That's what all this comes back to, however, that England really does care much more than he lets on, and he does have a habit of picking up others to care for (and he does care for them) while he can and while he feels the need to. In some ways, he probably still would like someone around, even though he says otherwise.

Abilities: As England is a country, like the others he has the ability to heal extraordinarily fast. As his health is directly tied to the welfare of the country rather than his own physical state. He is also "immortal", in a similar sense to the fact that he is tied to the country - and whatever happens to that leads his fate. If England were to dissolve, he would disappear after a certain amount of time etc.

He's good at sewing/embroidery and makes things! And while he likes to believe he's good at cooking, he's actually the best at being the worst.

    SAMPLES;
    First Person: Test Drive Thread!

    Third Person:

“Ah, excuse me chap--” There’s a brief moment where Arthur has to adjust the bag he’s carrying, as even though he’s managed to get a few necessities (a book, but also some materials for embroidery) there’s still a matter of trying to find his way back to his house. His voice and mannerisms are friendly enough, but it doesn’t seem to matter when the NPC in question walks away with a scowl.

    And Arthur is lost.

His hand raises to his face, where he scratches his cheek and tries to work out where he is. In the meantime, a little chunter about the lack of friendliness starts under his breath. “I wouldn’t expect a fine welcome with a feast and a bloody serenade in the streets but that kind of behaviour was hardly expected. Wanker.” There’s a pause as his expression gets a little more irritated, and it seems as though the rest of the world is lost to him for a moment as he goes off on a little rant. “--didn’t even get to ask the bugger if this is the right way. You wouldn’t have such manners in London--” His chest swells with pride, chin tilting up a little as he starts walking again. It’s rather obvious this rant isn’t ending anytime soon, however. “Even just a nod in the direction of a pub would be enough, those folk seem to know the area well enough, ah--!”

Of course, spending so much time ranting and looking irate with the world kind of lends itself to accidents. There’s a fine string of curse words as Arthur hobbles on his foot, clearly having a terrible day, before he slumps down on a short brick wall next to it. He goes quiet, then. His head tilts down to stare at the bag in his hand that is now placed on the floor, and his eyes lid tiredly. As much as he may like to pretend that this adventure is all fun and well, he’s worried...

“I’m getting too old for this...” He sighs and relaxes his back. He leans forward on his hands, clasps them so they rest under his chin, and closes his eyes. In his mind he can see home. Home, the place where he hears the voices of his people, where even though he lives by himself and away from others, he’s never truly alone. Home, where his magical friends will visit to keep him company whenever he does feel that loneliness creeping up on him. Home, where he has time and space to sit and read quietly, to do embroidery and bake without anyone telling him how awful he is at it (mostly, anyway!!).

Here, everything is different, despite it seeming so simple.

”--Fuck. The curse this time is muttered much more quietly, and a small laugh follows. It’s a rather pathetic laugh, filled with doubt and insecurity, but there’s nothing he can do about it at this point it time. “Come now, there’s no need to get sentimental.” He’s still talking to himself, but at least now he’s trying to be encouraging. “You’re not that much of an idiot-- you’re not America.”

Early history ( Summarized via Himaruya):

Austria's first predecessor states were, interestingly, in modern Swiss territory. The Habsburg castle, which was the seat of the Habsburg dynasty, is located in Northern Switzerland rather than Austria. At first the two would-be countries cooperated well. Then the would-be Switzerland, for good reasons, revolted against Habsburg intervention in its affairs. Among the chaos the Habsburgs understandably hastened to move their seat to modern Austria.

During the Austro-Swiss partnership, Austria granted the region military protection in exchange for Swiss allegiance. Though they both lay in the Holy Roman Empire, they were regarded as two separate entities. The then head of the Habsburgs were loved among the Swiss - like "we'd go to any length to serve him."

But the honeymoon was soon over.

The new man on the Austrian throne proclaimed, "Switzerland is my territory. Therefore the same tax laws apply." Thus, Switzerland fell under Austrian control. Austria even started appointing Vogts to govern Switzerland. (Remember, they were supposed to be separate entities.) That marked the end of the Austro-Swiss partnership.

Wilhelm Tell, a Swiss hunter, was demanded by the Habsburg-appointed Vogt, Gessler, to shoot an apple off the head of his son. He succeeded in spite of tremendous mental strife, and went on to shoot Gessler himself.

It was clear that Austria and Switzerland couldn't go back where they were. Switzerland now sought independence. Several cantons formed the "Confoederatio Helvetica", and challenged Austrian rule with their new army. (The place where the canton representatives took their oaths is still a tourist attraction.)

The Swiss army was nothing more than a bunch of farmers hastily donned in armors and equipped with swords. Nobody would have expected them to stand any chance against Austria's professionals.

But the Swiss army won devastating victories against the Austrian knights. The Swiss took advantage of their terrain and hurled huge rocks onto the enemy. The Austrians, taken aback by such Indiana Jones-like tactics, had to face defeat.

After winning its independence, Switzerland was plagued by its lack of natural resources, the low quality of its top soil, and the mountainous terrain which made agriculture almost impossible. Switzerland had to import raw material and export manufactured goods. Its men served for centuries as mercenaries. Through amazing efforts Switzerland, neighbored on all sides by great powers, made a living out of almost nothing.

In order to protect its permanent neutrality, Switzerland would shoot down any planes that flew over, Allied or Axis. What's more, Swiss postal workers are also all soldiers in the army, and carry special post office guns.

He’s rather short for a Germanic nation, standing at an unimposing 5’6”, but don’t let the lack of height fool you! His bearing more than makes up for the rather averege vertical reach. He’s got dark, sandy-blond hair cropped in a chin-length bob with a fringe of bangs across his forehead and vivid green eyes.

He’s usually seen wearing a white beret with a simple white long-sleeve button up shirt hidden beneath his forest green jacket limned in black at the collar and cuffs to match the calf-high black boots. He tends to wear a camouflage weather coat over this on occasion.

He has a cross shaped scar on his left shoulder, though it’s not clear which particular fight it represents.

Personality: At first glance, Switzerland can seem standoffish to the point of being blatantly rude, disinterested, opinionated, and unapologetically blunt in all matters - and he really is. However upon closer inspection, it’s clear that there’s so much more to him than first impressions.

It is true that he values his privacy, but much like protecting his borders, he’s worked hard to establish himself as a neutral party despite being a small nation literally surrounded by major world powers - his intention for being so steadfast in being aloof is simply a matter of self-preservation. Action long ingrained into habit in order to keep his house in order and protect his people in accordance to his own sense of justice. And yet, it’s this same sense of justice that, when he came across a sickly Liechtenstein, prompted him to pick her up, adopt her, and not only nurse her back to health but to protect her even after she was stable once again.

Unlike other nations, it was this sense of justice rather than a desire for control over either her or her lands - or the need to increase his power and influence in the world order - that had him stepping into the rare role of an 'equal guardian' for her. Protect her, teach her (ie constantly lecture), but always respect her own sovernity. They were and have always remained equals with a mutually beneficial relationship. In this way he makes clear that he has definite views of how people should treat each other - views that he’s maintained since he was a young nation, as evidenced with the way he spent his youth both picking Austria up and lecturing him to act less recklessly, to become stronger, and following him around to be sure he was safe.

He simply believes that the strong should use their strength to protect their own lands first and to treat others with decency and respect rather than an intent to control or dominate. That helping someone when they’re down and out is the right things to do, and not for personal gain - and if you have to tighten your own belt for a little bit to do it, then so be it.

Just be mindful of how you spend your resources and take responsibility for how they’re managed in order to make them last while doing so. Which also brings up his frugal nature. Because he knows the pains of having such a tenuous and uncertain beginning, and the struggle to establish a sustainable independance, Switzerland is always cognizant of the need to spend money and resources with caution and prudence - not to the extent of oppressing his people under the weight of greedy taxation, but if the choice is the expensive brand name or a generic that tastes just as good? He’s buying the generic, hands down.

He is absolutely unapologetic in voicing his opinion when he needs to - or encouraging others (like Japan) to step up and form their own opinions as well. This is especially important for smaller nations if they want to be heard and listen to with respect from the larger idiots that are always squabbling. It’s a means of survival that, over the years, has helped to establish his neutrality because when he says absolutely no one is authorized to cross neutral borders, he means no one - regardless of alliances outside his borders. Therefore it’s better to say what you mean, and absolutely mean what you say in the clearest, most unmistakable manner possible and if it comes off as curt or rude, well, at least they know where you stand without question, right?

It’s much the same with his seeming disinterest in others affairs - because if anything, it’s quite the opposite. He’s actually got quite the extensive intelligence monitoring program in place. And the reason is simple: In order to stay on top of what the larger, squabbling idiots are up to, he’ll watch and he’ll listen all so he can be better prepared to turn them aside at his borders when they move from posturing to action against each other.

And all of this reveals a deeper, more complex person. He does have compassion, despite his cool exterior and for those that he accepts into his close circle of important people, he offers a surprising yet gruff wealth of sincerity, support, and strength - he’s a protector that pushes them always to stand strongly on their own two feet. He has a definite love for music and art and the beauty found in nature and, if given the opportunity to relax his guard, would much rather spend his free time out under the open skies with his sister or Austria though he refuses to acknowledge that point anymore than anything else.

    And yet.

He absolutely will not hesitate to take up arms at a moment’s notice to defend what’s his - or his sister’s - so don't forget it.

Abilities: As the personification of a nation that has spent centuries as a mercenary followed by a rigid defense of his own hard-won borders, Switzerland has become the epitomie of a soldier through and through. So while it’s not impossible to kill him (nations can fall, even neutral ones) he’ll make it pretty damn hard to kill him. Aside from that, he’s fairly close to immortal - alive so long as his lands survive.

Other: He’s going to be rather stubborn about protecting his home in game - as in setting old school hunting traps (As soon as he finds enough rope) around the edge of his property and creating makeshift weapons to protect his house with.... people will figure out the idea to stay off his lawn eventually, right?

To say Switzerland was less than amused upon waking up in this nightmareishly familiar place was an understatement. Although at least this time he was waking up in a comfortable lawn chair rather than getting moved in the middle of the night to a sandy beach but... all the same he would really have preferred to continue life as if this place had never happened. As if he'd never been to this alien infested pla-- no. He was not going to start giving credence to Poland's crack pot ideas about this place yet.

So here he is, back in this same town failing to attain the perfect level of stepford and for what? To live a mundane life, cut off from their true homes? Think nothing of their bosses that needed them, or the people that relied on them - oh no. Here, they had to play house in strange marriages and with children no less. He scowled at the mere thought and mumbled a few curses under his breath, his expression foreboding as he glared daggers at the unassuming door waiting to reveal his latest version of supposed family.

First, however, was finding out whether or not his bank was still standing. Then to see if his wishes, left behind in a letter in his desk in the event of his disappearance had been followed - because if so, then than meant his hard-won collection of arms was safe in Vietnam's hands.

Assuming, of course, that Vietnam was even here anymore.

If not, well, it shouldn't be that hard to track down his arms. If not with her, then possibly… Japan? Or even Austria?

Also assuming either of them were still trapped in this place as well.

What a pain in the ass.
Either way, it was time to get up and play monkey to the Landlord's soundless tune so Switzerland did the only thing he could do - he gave a disgruntled sigh as he pushed to his feet, the unread documents still clutched in his hand, and marched himself right to the door. Time to meet his so-called family.

    Again.

    History: link

During a phenomenon known as 'Nightmare Week," thousands of people committed mass suicide for an unknown reason. There was nothing that tied them together, nothing in common and the cause was eventually referred to as a Suicide Virus. In actuality, the suicides were caused by an immortal race of aliens who, tired of their existence, arrived on Earth and possessed certain individuals. Suddenly made mortal, the aliens gave the order to the humans they possessed to die. Most complied happily. Those who didn't, evolved into Power Users, or Comrades, as they called themselves.

Yuuta Takizawa was one of those that were possessed by the aliens along with his mother but while he chose to live, his mother chose death. She killed herself as soon as she received her death order while her eight year old son watched.

Hurt and confused by his mother's actions, Yuuta did the first thing that came to his mind. He locked her away in a barrier to seal her away from the world because he wanted to preserve her. From the moment he ignored the order to die, something inside him changed. He was no longer a normal human being but he was evolved.

Unfortunately his father witnessed Yuuta use his powers to Isolate his mother, making her 'disappear.' Afraid of his son's new powers and believing him to be the cause of his wife's death, Yuuta's father disowned him but not before declaring him to be a monster.

Afterwards, Yuuta went to live with his grandparents in Tokyo but he would often spend his time at a nearby shopping complex that he used to visit with his mother. It was there that he met the protagonist of the series, Taisuke.

Yuuta took an immediate liking to Taisuke's friend, Ryou, because she reminded him of his mother. In a bout of youthful shortsightedness, he Isolated the shopping complex to make her stay with him. When Taisuke found out that he was the Comrade that was responsible, Yuuta told him that the only way to free everyone was to kill him. Eventually Taisuke managed to convince Yuuta to nullify the Isolation without hurting anyone. From then on, he began travelling with Taisuke and later a girl named Nami, in search of Taisuke's friends, Hirose and Megumi.

When they reached the destination they were headed for, they met a man named Katsumata. Through his orchestrations, he turned Hirose into a carrier for Akuro’s Heart, a fragment of the heart that belonged to the immortal entity that the alien race was. The moment Hirose took the heart into him, it caused a second outbreak of mass suicides. This time, it was the Comrades themselves who committed suicide. Taisuke and Hirose battled but in the explosive climax, both disappear.

Two years later, Yuuta was still alive. It turned out neither he nor Nami could find it in themselves to follow their peers into death. Due to his promise to Taisuke to protect Nami, Yuuta had persuaded her leave the battlefield as Taisuke and Hirose fought. It was a decision that Yuuta constantly regretted making in the following years.

One day Yuuta and Nami are approached members of the Tezuka family and taken to Taisuke, who survived the battle but lost his memories. Yukie, the Tezuka’s mother, saved him when he was on the brink of death. Together, they helped Taisuke regain his memories because his power was needed to save the world. When he regained them, they all joined forces to stop the American government from awakening Hirose, who had been sleeping under the ocean for the past two years. They failed.

Once awoken, Hirose headed to Tokyo, wreaking havoc in his wake. Taisuke, Nami, Yuuta and the Tezukas tried to stop him along with some non-Comrade allies. After they managed to defeat him, a girl named Mitama, who was the physical manifestation of the alien’s consciousness, came to reclaim the heart piece Hirose possessed but in doing so, she would also absorb the Comrades as well. There was disagreement to her doing so but it was a thing she had to do. As she took the heart into her, everything went white.

    History: WIKI

    Appearance:
    Here and Here.

Personality: Friendly. Warm-hearted. Compassionate. Kind. Cheerful – all apt descriptions of Ittoki Otoya and all simply scratch the surface. Otoya is a young man that, despite having lost his mother at an early age, and not knowing who his father is, and despite the fact that he grew up in an orphanage, has a very positive and forward-looking outlook on life that was, in fact, nurtured and encouraged by the very orphanage where he grew up. For Ittoki, the influence that they had on him taught him how to accept the bad things with the good in life and, more importantly, put them into a perspective that enabled him to learn and grow with each new experience. His time with them taught him not only to accept others as they are, but to support and encourage them with a sincere selflessness that he himself doesn’t really realize he possesses.

His mischievous antics as a child and energetic personality lead to a plethora of interests – from playing soccer to tag with the younger kids in the orphanage to playing guitar and singing. All of his interests were encouraged and thus he’s quick to also encourage others in their interests and struggles as well.

This finds itself manifest in so many ways with the others as well – for example, his immediate and unshakeable faith in Nanami, the compassion he feels for her in her struggles, and his desire to see her succeed not for his own benefit but her own reflect that same selflessness. In Nanami, he sees her as someone that is incredibly positive, honest, and strives to always do her best, but also recognizes that she doesn’t recognize those qualities within herself and that, because of that lack of awareness, she’s sometimes a little clumsy and awkward at other times – and that, because of that, it makes him want to cheer her on all the more to see her reach her goals.

It’s an unquestionable fact that while each of the members of Starish care about Nanami, Ittoki seems to be the one that is the most outwardly focused on Nanami’s own growth and happiness rather than his own. For each of the others, there is a level of dependacy on Nanami as their source of hope or motivation but with Ittoki... he wants to support her hopes and her dreams by singing her songs.

Unlike the others, he’s not inspired by her, but because of her. It’s a subtle but notable difference.

It’s the difference that leads him to always put her first. When she struggles, he’s often the one that reaches out or goes to seek her out in order to give her either a few words of quiet reassurance or exuberant support (or both!) with an unconscious selflessness because for him, his first concern is, quite simply, about her and not now she can help him. He shows this deference for her in little ways – like often being the first to agree with her ideas, or to attempt to get their teacher to intercede on her behalf when she had rumors going about her, or even being the one to slow down and offer her a hand when she falls behind in their mad dash to catch the Headmaster. When she’s upset or distraught, he’s quick to use a kind voice and soft words to reassure – and when she needs a boost, he’s just as quick with an excited declaration in order to support her motivation.

That concern doesn’t stop at her, however. When conflict arises between the group members, he tries to understand both sides of the situation and is quick to offer both forgiveness and acceptance to the others just as equally. When they struggle, he’s quick to jump in to help, no holding back – because for him, they’re all his important friends. He approaches them all with an open heart and without hesitation and that, more than anything is his greatest strength. It makes him fearless and confident in the face of new challenges, determined to see them through and not give up and it’s that message that he hopes to convey through his music.

He has a strong sense of justice, and treats all people with an open faith and compassion almost to the point of naivety. With friends, however, he adds a deep level of loyalty to the mix so that he’s always willing to give the benefit of the doubt when needed or stand up and defend them in order to protect them (especially in the case of Nanami) even if it sometimes gets him in trouble. And failing that, he’s just as quick to try to find ways of cheering his friends up so that they can smile again because for him, he’d much rather see them smiling brightly than hurt or confused or alone.

Abilities: Ittoki is just a regular guy - no super powers or secret skills. However he is a strong athlete that loves to play soccer and excels at gymnastics. He loves to sing and play guitar, both skills that got him into the Academy and eventually into the idol group called Starish.

    Other: Quotes!

“I..I love… the music… that you make! How do I say this? Your music is so kind and crystal clear… I feel like it’s you, Nanami. I… wanna sing a song that you make! Um… well.. ‘bye – I’m gonna write your name as my ‘desired partner’, Nanami! That’s all I wanted to say! ”

“I think I’m the closest to you, Nanami. If I’m your partner, I’m sure I can sing a fantastic song for our graduation audition.”

“Ever since that recording test, I’ve felt that Nanami is the only one for me. I mean, I admire her. She’s been straightforward and striving since the entrance test.”

    Here and Here.

    Third Person:
A good nights sleep and a hard run first thing in the morning helped put his re-arrival the day before into perspective. Sure, they were still in a strange place and despite having left once, they were once again stuck without a way to get home, but… he wasn't completely alone. Nanami was here and they had a nice house with a big yard to stay in. Free food, too, which wasn't so bad either.

So far as being stuck someplace, they could have had worse and that makes this place not so bad at all, really.

And since they were stuck, it meant stepping up once more - first things first, he'd have to see if he could get his old job back, then see if he could get time in the recording studio - and not just for himself, but for Nanami as well. They could work together and think up new songs and maybe even a few dances to go with them! Wouldn't it be great to be able to show their hard work to the others when the others arrived or when they got to go home?

Yeah... that's what he'd do. It'd definitely give them something to cheer them up and get them looking forward again, right?

Although, he'd have to wait a bit longer to go since the music school wouldn't open for several more hours, but as soon as it was, he was there! For now, he simply began to hum to himself as he laced his sneakers, then slipped out the back door. A moment later, he was off with at a slow jog in the brisk winter air.

Someone with the kind of personality to not let him hide away would probably be good for him, honestly!

    Personality:

Considering Fushimi's lack of trust in family/friends it shows a lot towards his past - shows a lot to his uncaring parents and how he ended up playing 'thugs' with Yata and the rest of HOMRA before he moved on. Really, unlike Yata who can be open with others, Fushimi is much more withdrawn. He likes his own space and when it comes to work that's especially true. He's left to work on his own as he's able to move more freely that way. In the memory of red manga, he's shown to be chasing Mole down who was trading drugs and lived underground. It's not the only case where he's gone off on his own though, either. When Scepter 4 went to the High School to look for Yashiro he slipped outside to find out the details by himself while Seri kept the principal occupied.

He hates teamwork, and from that he also hates sharing. This applies to space, to things--but also to Yata himself, honestly. When they were still at school Yata was always around him and he'd stick up for him when he was picked on for saying the wrong thing or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He'd share with Yata - drinks, games, food--anything really--but never would with anyone else. When HOMRA invited them into their group, he came to find himself growing hatred towards everyone who was taking his only friend away, and it's part of the reason why he moved on to Scepter 4. He told Yata because he didn't want to 'play thugs' for the rest of his life, when in actuality it is definitely more to do with Yata himself. He couldn't get all of his attention, but like this Yata gets wound up enough that he'll focus all that hate at Fushimi instead. It's not the same, and he'll never get what he wants which makes his whole existence pretty pathetic in a way.

His hatred towards Mikoto is merely founded on how Yata looks up to him. As is the same with some of the others from that group. Anna is the only one he really doesn't seem to show any ill towards, and in the extra materials has even been shown helping her when she's gotten stuck. With her he'll actually give a sort-of-helping-hand, even if he says he hates it at the same time. He's willing to put himself out there for her.

While he may show disinterest and even disgust to a lot of people, there are some (like Anna as mentioned above) he does look out for. When Mikoto used his red flames to try and blast his way out of Scepter 4's headquarters, Fushimi stepped in to form a barrier in front of Seri, to make sure she didn't get too injured. He is good at following her and Munakata's orders, however, even if sometimes it may seem like he really doesn't want to. In fact, his whole persona seems to read like he's constantly bored and uninterested in everything. His work, his life-- there's really no limit to it. He only seems to have any kind of extreme reaction when Yata is involved.

Despite this, Hidaka actually tries to include him in group events. He tries to get Fushimi to join them for a party, but Fushimi outright refuses. Hidaka spends an evening working with Fushimi, who usually handles all the paperwork himself. In fact, rather than giving it back for corrections he just does it himself - he really thinks it's worthless having others do jobs that he believes he can handle on his own. In the end he really does stick to his guns too, as Hidaka and the others are stuck in a "group meeting" with Awashima Seri and Munakata Reisi, he's off elsewhere.

Even though Fushimi thinks in really negative ways, he really is good at getting work done. He's efficient and fast, probably because he's direct enough to get his point across in very few words. However, there is also a side of him that is too direct and harsh. When with others from Scepter 4 in the first chapter of days of blue, he digs his heel into one of the guys and tells them "So what?" He's so uncaring of how he seems to others as long as his job is done. That, and as they're criminals, don't they kind of deserve that treatment? It makes some sense when you consider how frustrated he was with being stuck in HOMRA, who are also hoodlums and thugs in there own way. They don't really obey the laws completely, that's for sure. He also doesn't like to mix work with the idea of friendship. Hidaka told him that they were comrades, and that angered him on top of the failed reports that Doumyouji kept giving him.

Fushimi overworks and doesn't eat healthily because of it, though, it's even in his profile that he doesn't like vegetables. He's of the opinion that if he takes this on by himself it'll get done faster, as others are much more incompetent. It's probably true with some of the others, actually, as Doumyouji demonstrates. Then again, Fushimi does actually admit that while Hidaka still made an error, he was much better with the reports than Doumyouji is. The biggest part of this development is showing that Fushimi can give thanks when it's appropriate as well. He's told that part of his job is to delegate work, rather than to take it on by himself, and he does say thank you when Hidaka offers to help him.

The newest manga chapter of the days of blue has him dealing with a small child, and the amount of distrust he has of adults/parents and society really shows here. He wonders if the child's parents are that worthless, whether it is best to just move on. Munakata reminds him that if one society abandons you, there will always be another that comes along that accepts you - really just like what happened with him (although he wasn't abandoned by HOMRA, not really, he just feels as though Yata abandoned him...)

    Abilities:

Red Flame/Aura: Fushimi gained power from being under Mikoto Suoh in HOMRA for a brief period of time. This works kind of like a flame, and can be "attached" to weapons to add extra damage. It is pretty much used as an ability of destruction for the most part, and Fushimi himself has been shown to use throwing knives with the red flame to hurt Yata.

Blue Flame/Aura: Unlike anyone else, Fushimi also has the blue power gained from joining Scepter 4 under Munakata. This power can be used similar to the red aura, however, it tends to be used as a barrier for protection. Fushimi used it with his throwing knives to create a barrier in front of Awashima Seri against Mikoto's blast and the others use it with their swords as a means of protection.

Swordsmanship: Fushimi has been given a sword just like the rest of Scepter 4, and while he clearly isn't as good as Awashima Seri, he can still handle a blade pretty well. He can also use throwing knives to hit a target and/or person.

Hacking: Fushimi is good with technology and is able to get around systems to find information. (Though he doesn't always need to, if there is someone he can chloroform I guess--) While I know this won't be possible with Holly Heights' system, it is there.

    SAMPLES;
    First Person:

    one + two + three

    Third Person:

The house that he's been given is too full of people. There's too much sharing of space and even things and the whole situation is weighing too much on Fushimi at the moment. He wants the space to breathe away from others, but that is nigh impossible given the situation as well. It's why he takes the opportunity to steal the "family" computer, to sit down and stare at the screen at something familiar to him. The network here has been secured more than he'd expected, honestly, and that is only frustrating him more as well.

"...Tsk." Another option falls flat, another option gone. His eyes shift towards the door, wondering when someone might come and bother him - hopefully he'll have time before it comes to that. His elbow moves to rest of the table, chin falling to press against his palm. His other hand clicks at the mouse, shifts it and moves the cursor to another place.

The network, at least, is pretty useful - though some may say otherwise considering the details he's gathering at the moment. His eyes scan lower, searching for someone and-- well, it's obvious he finds them, when his hand on the mouse tightens and he leans in a little closer to see the post on there at the moment.

    What was this?

He doesn't hesitate to open it, reading over details quickly - scanning them, more than taking in every word. He doesn't need to read every word - not when it comes to him. The hand that had been a rest for his face is pulled away, curling inwards towards his collar. He doesn't even pay attention to the door now, focused on letting his fingers curl against the edge of the material, sinking into material and then skin as nails bite down.

"Misaki--" There's a hint of venom there as he spends time reading up on how he's been here, who he's befriended and who he needs to take note of.

He can't help but wonder why. Why is it that he's able to act like this when I betrayed him? Why can he still smile and laugh and joke with others? How can he act like this without Mikoto there?

None of it makes sense. It's unfair, and he's left feeling bitter because he doesn't even have work to keep himself occupied yet. The only thing he can think to do, sadly, is leave messages in Yata's mailbox and hope that he'll give in to his emotions soon enough.

    Gender: male
    Orientation:
I'm going to go with bisexual. On one hand, he's from an otome game so we're sure that he's into girls. On the other hand, the only straightforward confession of love in the anime series is from him to Syo, while the two were fighting over Haruka. Whether he's into Haruka or Syo for romantic reasons is debatable, so why not both?

    History:
Natsuki was born in Hokkaido to a family who's rich enough to own a farm, have vacations in France and hire a private violin tutor for their son. He has no known brothers or sisters. He was a genius at playing the violin and music composition, and won a lot of violin competitions as a child. That was how he met Syo Kurusu, who would eventually be his roommate at Saotome Academy.

His violin tutor, who he liked a lot, plagiarized one of his compositions. This betrayal made him develop a more cynical split personality named Satsuki, while Natsuki remained as cheerful as ever. He stopped playing the violin and composing since, but started playing the viola instead.

He enrolled at Saotome Academy, a school dedicated to educating future pop idols and composers, to become an idol. He became a student of class A with fellow aspiring idols Masato Hijirikawa and Otoya Ittoki, and an aspiring composer named Haruka Nanami. He became roommates with Syo Kurusu, who was from class S. He rekindled his friendship with Syo and developed feelings for Haruka. Together with Masato, Otoya, Syo, and Syo's classmates, Ren Jinguji and Tokiya Ichinose, they formed the boy band Starish for their graduation debut. Haruka, whom they all had some romantic affection for and whose talent they believed in, composed their songs.

Now a part of Shining Entertainment's Master Course, he and Syo were assigned to train under Ai Mikaze, a more experienced idol.

    Appearance: here
    Personality:
Natsuki Shinomiya likes cute and small things. When faced with them, he won't be able to resist hugging them. Loving them. Trying to make them cuter. He can be more during these times, especially if you're Syo. Natsuki seems to have a one-track mind when it comes to cuteness. Your feelings don't really matter, or rather your feelings would be interpreted in a way that would make you look cuter. Syo-chan's not pissed at him because he gets clingy and annoying. Syo-chan's pissed at him because he's just being shy. That's how Natsuki sees it.

He's also an airhead. He believes that great lyrics come from the stars. He believes that he's a good cook even if his cooking shouldn't even be called edible. And because he cares for you and believes that home cooked meals are the healthiest type of meals there is, he will force feed you. Because he cares.

Natsuki Shinomiya is this giant ball of happiness, joy, light and all things cute and fluffy.

But that's just how Natsuki forced himself to be like on the surface.

Like Ren and Tokiya, Natsuki has had some experience with the professional music world. When Natsuki was a child he used to be not only a skilled violinist (which is how he first met Syo), but also a genius composer. He loved what he did and he eventually composed this piece entitled "Satsuki" that he proudly showed his teacher. Then his teacher, whom he admired very much, stole the piece and submitted it as her own to a contest. It won. Since then, the very happy, very innocent child named Natsuki learned that there are people you can't trust, that there is sadness and pain in this world and you can't take everything at face value. Still, Natsuki wanted to be happy. But he still somehow wanted to keep composing despite what he's gone through. Thus, Natsuki split his personality into two.

There's Natsuki, the overly happy person described above, and then there's Satsuki. Satsuki is what Natsuki becomes whenever he takes off his glasses. He's the side of Natsuki that was created for two reason: 1) to keep composing and 2) to protect Natsuki from further pain. Satsuki is highly irritable, violent and serious. Left alone, Satsuki won't hurt anyone. But little things tick him off and he will instantly attack whoever or whatever it is that irritates him. He's pretty strict with rules and social norms, unlike Natsuki who's usually very free spirited and accepting of things. But he is undoubtedly the genius side that Natsuki usually keeps locked in his heart. While both Satsuki and Natsuki are perceptive, Satsuki is bold enough to voice out his thoughts, like he was bold enough to call Hayato (aka Tokiya) out on not feeling the music that he sings. He was also bold enough to make a move on Haruka.

Since Hayato's concert, Natsuki has had some closure with Satsuki (though Satsuki still exists) due to Haruka being able to accept that Natsuki and Satsuki are the same person. Natsuki has since then been a bit bolder when it comes to voicing out his concerns, though not as dismissive as Masato and Ren could be. He still tries to not let things ruin his friendship with Syo, despite them liking the same woman and all. It can be said that he's not completely happy when he voices out a differing opinion, but it's a start.

    Abilities:
As Natsuki, he's nothing superhuman. He's a good singer, a decent dancer and makes crazy inedible (for other people) food. As Satsuki, he has some sort of superstrength for reasons unexplained in the anime series because it's crack like that. That strength seems to fit with his size minus the feeling of pain. He is also a genius composer.

I'm going to pack them healthy meals for school! And I'm going to share my toys with them! Ah, but they have to share with me too. And we can go on trips on weekends like my father and I used to. Appearance: Nico is tall for his age at 5'6", but he is remarkably thin and pale. While he's described to have a "skeletal frame" but Jason also notes, to his surprise, that Nico does have muscles under his bulky jacket. Previously described as olive skinned, Nico's complexion has paled to what is described as a sickly shade of green. Nico has black shaggy hair, somewhat curly and always messy. His eyes are brown, but described as dark and sunken at his current canon point. The troubles he has faced in the last four years have changed his appearance significantly, in short. Nico is usually described as wearing black t-shirts with skulls/skeletons on them, ripped jeans, and an aviator jacket. He generally has a closed posture, and often seems to blend into the shadows, which paired along with his general disinclination to speak can often cause people to forget he's there.

Re: Nico di Angelo | Heroes of Olympus | not reserved 2/4

    [personal profile] skiodis 2013-12-02 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
    Personality:
(THERE  ARE  SPOILERS  FOR  THE  LATEST  BOOK,  HOUSE  OF  HADES, IN  THIS  SECTION.)
Being Nico di Angelo is hard and stressful. Nico is intially introduced in the series (in the third book, the Titan's Curse) as an energetic young boy whose favorite things in the world are his sister, and Mythomagic (some sort of card game based on Greek mythology probably similar to Yu-gi-oh!, Magic the Gathering, etc.) He had a bright inquisitive disposition, and despite perhaps being annoying at times, is a good child. While he is initially excited to learn that he and his sister Bianca are demigods (as it is like Mythomagic come to life), things quickly pan out not in his favor. The death of his sister followed by the revelation that his godly parent is Hades, the god of the Underworld and black sheep of the Olympians, sends Nico down a dark path. He becomes bitter and brooding, angry at Percy for failing to protect Bianca like he'd promised, and feeling profoundly alone as he knows being Hades' son will alienate him from the other demigods. Nico becomes obsessed with bringing Bianca back, despite her telling him not to. He manages to move on and somewhat reconcile with Percy by the end of the first series, but the change to his personality can't be undone.

Currently, Nico is a 14 year old with a dangerous aura. He practically seems to embrace the fact that his parentage makes him innately creepy. Nico claims that he can never fit in with others because of who he is, but he doesn't even seem to try. Nico chooses to remain alienated to avoid being hurt again. One noteable exception to this is Hazel. Being the daughter of Pluto, Hades' Roman counterpart, Hazel is in a way Nico's sister as well and he treats her as such. While Nico is incredibly guarded around most people and tells Jason that he doesn't like to be touched, he is openly physically affectionate with Hazel. The two share a close bond despite only having known each other for a few months. This is likely also in part because they both were born in the 1930s (godly shenanigans are to blame for how they both ended up in modern times) and share that rare thing in common as well. Conversely it is another reason Nico feels like he doesn't belong with others.

Despite his general disposition, Nico is generally perfectly capable of interacting with others. Though when with the group he speaks up rarely, when he does he has no problem doing so as long as he does not have to talk about his own self. Nico is not honest about what he wants and what his own feelings are. He claims that he doesn't belong anywhere because he's afraid of being rejected. He doesn't even give people a chance to accept him because he's terribly afraid that they won't. It's a crippling fear, so much so that he insists to himself and everyone else that it's an unchangeable fact, so it doesn't matter how he feels about it. By his current canon point, it's shown that he is so embedded in this mindset that when someone makes an effort to reach out to him, he doesn't even give them a chance. Upon learning his secret against Nico's will (Cupid having forced to admit that he had a crush on Percy), Jason assures him that the rest of the group isn't going to hate him for it, but Nico refuses to talk about it. It's implied that this is yet another reason avoids others, because of this secret he's holding. It's especially problematic for someone like Nico, as Jason notes to himself that such a thing would have been unthinkable to admit to in the time period that Nico is from.

Nico's feelings for Percy are reflected in his behavior towards the older boy somewhat, as their relationship is complicated and often uncomfortable. Initially furious and hurt that Percy broke his promise, after a while Nico seems to more be trying to help Percy, despite some blunders and seems hurt when Percy tells him to stay in the underworld to try to convince his father to fight in the upcoming war with the titans, observing that Percy doesn't trust him anymore after the mistake he made. In any case, Nico will go out of his way to help Percy, but generally in an indirect manner, such as promising to lead the rest of the crew of the Argo II to the other sides of the doors of death to meet Percy and Annabeth there, and noting to Iapetus/Bob that Percy was a friend and he should help him if he ever needed it. Without the titans help, Percy and Annabeth would certainly not have survived their time in Tartarus.

Nico's kind nature shows through in his passive way of helping, as well as his relationship with Bob. When Percy, Nico, and Thalia clashed with the titan Iapetus, Percy had pushed him into the Lethe, erasing his memory and giving him a new identity as Bob, their friend. While the three assured that he would be spared, given a job in Hades' palace, Nico was the only one who made an effort to visit and talk with him. As much as Nico tries to push other people away, he can't bring himself to be a truly mean and spiteful person. While he has a sometimes dark sense of humor and sometimes smiles in a way that Leo claims "gives him the freaky-deakies", Nico is never blatantly mean to people who don't deserve it. He is generally calm and level-headed, and despite all the blame he heaps on his identity as Hades' son making his life hard, he very clearly craves his father's attention and approval. Percy notes that after Nico and Hades are welcomed on Olympus for their part in stopping Kronos's forces, when Hades pats Nico on the head Percy observes that it was the happiest he'd ever seen Nico.

Nico's guarded nature is perhaps exacerbated by the time he spent in Tartrus. The deepest pit of the underworld where all monsters are born from, a place even the Olympians will not go, Nico was the first person to go to Tartarus and come back. Percy observes that the experience seemed to have effected him deeply, noting that his eyes looked like "shattered glass," as if something had broken inside him permanently. Despite his experiences in Tartarus and subsequent imprisonment leaving him incredibly weak, Jason notes that afterward Nico "slept little and ate even less." He spent most if his time away from the others, perched on the crows nest of the ship. In any case, it is worth noting that despite his protests and his running and hiding and however sickly he may look, Nico has faced hardships and terrible struggles, and has still managed to come away from it all mostly intact. He shows remarkable strength in the face of difficulties despite how alone he claims to be.

History: Wiki Wiki, here I go again
    Appearance: 1234
    Personality:

”Scathing eyes ask that we be symmetrical, one sided and easily processed.
Yet every misshapen spark's unseen beauty is greater than its would be judgement.”

Strutting into a club full of baddies with her head held high and hips in sway, ask some questions, and then proceeding to break some heads; Yang makes one hell of an initial impression. Yellow as a color is very bright, warm, inviting, energetic, but also blinding. Put simply, Yang is an extroverted firecracker who likes punching her problems away. But come at her and you’ll see, she’s more than meets the eye.

Yang isn’t someone who wears a mask per say, in fact she tends to wear her emotions right on her sleeves, but like with all people it takes more than a scratch to get under the surface. On the surface, yes she is an eager and confident blondie who takes things as they go without too much seriousness. Well, she’s serious when she needs to be. She’s a teenager through and through: liking parties, liking watching hot guys in pajamas, liking boy bands, gets easily distracted in class, so on and so forth. She also has the tendency to speak before she thinks. Like the kind of tendency that has her asking a question only to have it explained immediately after. Sortof a foot-in-mouth deal, but she never gets embarrassed by it. She more or less just shrugs it off and keeps on keeping on. On top of that, she is hot with huge tracks of land and she knows it. Looking at how she dresses, she’s not afraid to flaunt it. In fact, it’s actually an advantage. There are plenty of guys who look at her like a partygirl dumb blond, and Yang expects anyone dumb enough to think that’s all there is to her also deserves the overdue buttkicking. Who says she can’t flirt a bit before punching them in the face?

    Nailed it!

How she fights also gives some clue-ins on what kind of girl Yang is. Yang fights very aggressively, swinging hit after hit, weaving and dodging when she has to, and she does all of this with a smirk plastered on her face. The more she fights, the faster and harder she goes at it (that is until someone hits her button, but that’s not important yet). And that’s how Yang usually tackles most situations: with plenty of gusto and fearlessness. Grabbing a guy’s plums to get information out of him? No problem. Yang does have a motorbike and there is the whole thing about her having basically wrist mounted shotguns, so saying she might be an adrenalin junkie is one heck of an understatement. There are times where she can be a teensy bit intense and blows up, but it’s never completely inappropriate and it doesn’t last long. It just happens if there’s just enough crazy going on and she needs the 2 seconds.

This attitude also comes in when it comes to being social, as Yang goes right for it without hesitating for a second. See: her chipper mood when introducing herself to Blake and dragging Ruby along for the ride. Yang clearly likes people, getting to know them, and hearing their stories. It’s easy to get her hooked into a good campfire story. She always gives a person the benefit of the doubt, especially if they’re friends and if she’s clearly missing both sides of the story. That saying, if there is going to be an obvious clash in personalities, person is an obvious baddie, or if they’re just plain weird, Yang will dismiss the notion. After that it’ll take some forced interactions with the other party to give her a little change in opinion, like say having to work with Weiss.

There's no such thing as negative friends. You just made one friend and one enemy!

One of Yang’s biggest traits, and most visible once you get them in a room together, is her devotion as Ruby’s big sister. Heck, she got her own track on the ost about how much she loves and cares for Ruby, how she’ll always be there for Ruby whenever she needs help, and all that good big sister goodness. If she’s proud of Ruby, she’s very open about it. Especially in the overly-eager hugging department. There’s a log to be proud of when it comes to Ruby, as Yang doesn’t seem to be at all jealous or annoyed that her younger sister made it to the academy two years early and was made team leader. But like with most siblings, with the love comes the tough love. There are times that Ruby just needs a little push when it comes to trying new things, and Yang is well on hand to provide. Sure, she has no problem shoving Ruby into making friends with over eagerness and the tendency of ditching, but she does this for Ruby’s benefit more than her own. Okay a little benefit to her, because gotta hang out with friends somehow. She just doesn’t think it’s healthy for Ruby to be glued to her hip without even trying to make a friend or two.

So yeah, Yang will mostly take it easy all the time. But remember: don’t touch the hair. Yang is very proud, slightly over possessive, of her hair and anything who manages to snag a strand or five will meet her fist repeatedly. She likes to flaunt her looks, but her hair is more special. It’s long, it’s poofy, it’s lovely, and she takes extra good care of it. So when somebody walks in and ruins her hard work like that, yeah, there’s going to be fire and there’s going to be skulls broken.

In conclusion, Yang is a big old ball of fun and explosions who loves her little sister and loves busting in the door.

    Abilities:
Being the bruiser of the team, naturally Yang needs the crazy strength that one would expect from the girl who wins by punching things in the face. And crazy strength she has in droves. She can easily punch an opponent through walls or several trees without breaking a sweat. Yang’s fighting style is very much inspired by boxing, looking at her stance and the way she dodges attacks. And as an action girl in and action show, Yang also has insane endurance.

So what better weapon for a boxer to have than something to give their punches a little more bang. She wields a set of gauntlets called the Ember Celica, and these gauntlets are actually Dual Ranged Shot Gauntlets. While looking like a set of bracelets when not in use, the weapons actually fold out into the armor once their activated. Loaded with 12 shells each, her punches then launch a shotgun-like burst. This burst can be used short-ranged in hand to hand or can be launched at a distance for less impact, depending on the ammunition she loads into it.

To go with her fiery personality, Yang’s semblance has to do with fire, so her hair sometimes starts emitting fire. This comes with her getting more intense in a fight, and the explody part comes when someone messes with her hair. Her eyes also turn from purple to red when this happens, all going with the fire theme.

    Other: She burns.

    Species: Human

Orientation: Pretty straight. Considering he has a son, he's likely more comfortable with the traditional views of marriage with the opposite gender. Since the game doesn't really explain what happened to the wife, I'm playing it like he's been a single parent for a while. He didn't seem to be looking for another wife from what is seen either. So I'd be fine with him starting out as a single parent or married.

    Personality:
[There are also AAI2 spoilers sprinkled about here]
Gregory can be described simply as a gentleman. When he first greets others, he will always take his hat off and bow his head respectfully before introducing himself. Everything about Gregory's demeanor is very professional and one who takes his job rather seriously. While both he and his son both share a serious demeanor, Gregory is a little more open-minded about things and has far more tact than his son. He always remains polite to others, even in front of someone as unpleasant as Manfred Von Karma while he constantly belittles him. He would never make any open snide remarks, usually keeping any unwanted opinions to himself.

Gregory also seems to handle being under pressure rather well. He's rarely ever seen being flustered when finding himself in a situation that's against him. He always remains calm and politely asks others to elaborate on the problem or look at the problem again to find another solution. There are several examples in Case 3 of AAI2 where his assistant Shigaraki(Raymond Shields) would react with panic or surprise when they've been cornered and Gregory is usually the one who has to remind Shigaraki to keep his head together. There's an answer to everything and that is how Gregory usually can keep his cool, because it's part of his duty to discern the lies and find the truth. Even when something does catches him off guard or he makes a mistake, he'll just smile nervously as if embarrassed and then keeps on treading.

As a defense attorney, Gregory shares a common trait with most defense attorneys in AA, and that is to always believe in your clients. This in turn means Gregory tends to be trustful of others easily and putting people in a good light. Gregory generally does not judge others based on rumors as well. He gives everyone a fair chance to express what kind of person they are before making his own opinions. When people told him the rumors and stories about how Manfred Von Karma would do anything to get his guilty verdict, even forge evidence, Gregory simply shrugged it off as just an over exaggeration. It was not until Gregory confronted the man himself and discovered the autopsy report of the current case they were handling was false that he began to accept the stories, albeit reluctantly. He openly said he didn't want to believe it, but the facts had shown themselves to be true so he couldn't just deny it. It really shows how much Greg tends to try and see the good in people. Now this isn't to say Gregory is a pushover. When corruption is present, Gregory is not afraid to confront it head on and make sure the truth wins out. During his last case, he fought against Manfred Von Karma, the man who was considered the top prosecutor with a perfect record. People expected the trial to be over in a day, that trial lasted for a year, because Gregory refused to let corruption win and have his client found guilty of a crime he had never committed. He doesn't care how impressive someone's record was, he was there to find the truth and save his client with whatever legal method he had on hand. He managed to prove the fact Von Karma had a false autopsy report and even had Detective Badd help bring to light proof that Von Karma had been manipulating his client Tenkai by wearing him out and forcing him to plea guilty after the year long struggle. While his client was still found guilty in the end, he gave Von Karma his first and only penalty he had ever received as a prosecutor. Pretty damn impressive.

Gregory probably sounds pretty amazing right now, doesn't he? Well the guy has his flaws too, and being too amazing can be a bad thing, especially when you have a son that looks up to you.

Gregory had built up this image for his son, Miles who felt inspired by his father and wanted to follow in his footstep as well. It's kind of like how when you were a kid you thought being an astronaut was the best thing ever, but then reality hits and you realized that it's not what you thought it was. While probably not intentional, he did make this perfect image of defense attorneys for Miles, which led to a series of negative impacts after Gregory's death. During the DL-6 incident, at the time everyone believed Yanni Yogi was guilty of murdering Gregory. Even Gregory's spirit claimed it was Yanni Yogi when he was channeled through Misty Fey. Despite how everything was pointing to him as the culprit, Yanni Yogi was found not guilty after pleading insanity. This led to his son to hate defense attorneys, because he believed a criminal was allow to walk free. This of course was proven false later as it turned out Gregory lied about who killed him and likely did so because he wanted to protect his son who was the only other person with him in the elevator that day besides Yanni Yogi. In doing so though, out of the love for his son, he ended up causing a lot of lives to suffer that day. So despite Gregory having good intentions behind a number of things he does, even he's not perfect and he'll sometimes let his feelings towards someone he cares about get the better of him.

On a more lighter note, Gregory doesn't seem to have an off switch for that professionalism he carries. Although this could just be because his only canon appearance was during an investigation of a crime and we never saw him off duty. He does show that he is thinking about what's good for his son though. He always thinking to himself about whether Miles would like something or not or shows concern that Miles might not have any friends, because he prefers to read books about law rather than watch tv or make friends. This could possibly be a reflection of Gregory's own shortcomings. He might also be too focused on his profession to have much of a social life as well, although considering how approachable Gregory is, it's not as severe as Miles. A good example of this is when Shigaraki was fanboying about Dansweets with Tenkai. It was apparently a popular show at the time, but Gregory was unfamiliar with it, so he couldn't really put his two cents about it when they were talking about the show. Although that still didn't stop him from making a pose at the end of the Dansweets song.

Abilities: Nooothing really? He's just a simple human with a degree in lawyering.
Other: Since he is playable in case, he will occasionally be doing that (Lovely inner monologue thing) that AA protags just love doing. These are mostly just thoughts he doesn't want to openly say in front of others though and no one can see them unless the character's a mindreader.

    Third Person:

This was not the dark abyss Gregory thought he would be wandering through for an eternity. This was also not a place he recognized either. Was he being channeled by someone again? It was the only answer he could think of considering he had experienced it himself. He looked down to initial look himself over when something fell from his head. A fedora? He stared at it for moment before kneeling down to pick it back up. This...this was his fedora. He looked at his hands, and then started padding himself down. The trenchcoat was his, this body was his!

This was his body that was feeling the cold air. This heartbeat as well, this was his own heartbeat! What was going on? He took a deep breath to try and recover his composure again. His own breath, he could see his own breath in the cold air. A small nervous bit of laughter escaped him. How could one keep their composure when they were supposedly dead barely a moment ago? Good grief he really needed to find a chair and sit down right now. His legs felt like they were going to give in from shock.

It's not possible, he was telling himself. There had to be explanation. Perhaps this was a different afterlife or...or maybe this was a channeling and this gentleman just happened to like wearing the same thing he did. As he placed his right hand inside a pocket of his trenchcoat, he felt something hard and smooth there, like a phone? Sure enough he pulled out a phone and frowned. This wasn't his phone, it looked far too advanced to be his. It was a phone though, and who needed a phone in the afterlife? He really needed a clear answer though and not just speculation. He had a phone to use as a resource at least, that is if he could figure out how to navigate through it.

    History: the different story

Before Kyouko made a wish for her father and became a magical girl, she lived with him, her mother, and her younger sister, Momo. Her father, a priest described by Kyouko as sensitive and kind, began to preach teachings outside of what was accepted in their religion, and was eventually excommunicated. He tried to preach at doorsteps and in the streets, but was rejected and derided for his efforts. Eventually, the Sakura family was unable to eat, and Kyouko was forced at times to steal in secret, something she was deeply ashamed of. Kyuubey, a magical creature resembling a rabbit, showed up when she was her most desperate, and gave Kyouko an offer: in exchange for fighting living curses known as Witches, he would grant Kyouko a single wish, and magical powers. Kyouko, angry and disheartened by the turn her family's livelihood had taken, made a wish for people to listen to her father. The wish was granted, and Kyouko's journey into magical girldom began. Unbeknownst to Kyouko, her powers granted her a latent persuasion power, and it was this ability that helped her father without either of them knowing. People began coming to her father's church in droves, and for a time, things were good.

During a witch hunt, Kyouko follows a witch outside her city, into the neighboring town of Mitakihara. The witch proves to be too powerful for her, but she is assisted by a veteran magical girl named Mami Tomoe. The two quickly strike up a partnership and friendship, and as a team grow stronger and closer to one another. Kyouko even invites Mami to her home, something her mother points out as a first time occurrence. Kyouko asks Mami to be her mentor, and refers to her as senpai. As they defeat more witches, Mami assists Kyouko in honing and refining her magical abilities. However, this good time is doomed not to last. One night, witch-possessed people begin to attack Kyouko's father's church, meaning to set it on fire. Kyouko stops them and defeats the witch, but is caught by her father in the act. He realizes she is the reason that people suddenly believed in his teachings, and calls her a witch that manipulates others. He soon sinks into a deep depression.

At this point, Kyouko's philosophy begins to change. She questions Mami's belief that they must do the right thing at all costs, citing an example of saving a person who means to commit suicide. Even if they were to save that person, that person would never be viewed the same by his friends, she reasons. However, Mami dismisses her concerns, stating that if Kyouko uses such possibilities to justify not helping others, then she can't agree with her. Feeling unable to discuss her crisis of faith with Mami, she keeps the growing turmoil within her family to herself. Kyouko's father sinks deeper into despair, drinking far more often, and it is even implied at one point that becomes abusive toward Kyouko's mother. In the end, he sets the church on fire, killing Kyouko's mother, her sister, and himself. Consumed by despair, when Kyouko encounters a witch later on, she is unable to transform or use her powers, but is rescued by Mami at the last second. Mami cares for her as well as she can, but Kyouko, convinced she was responsible for the death of her family, eventually breaks off their partnership, announcing her intent to only use her magic for herself.

"I've made my decision. I'll never make another person happy. I'll never save anyone else's life. Not using my magic. My magic is only for myself."

The Different Story then diverges from Madoka Magica's main timeline. Kyouko 'teams up' with Homura in order to stop the powerful Walpurgisnacht, an extremely strong witch, but instead of perishing in a witch fight (as she does in the main anime timeline), Mami is assisted by her new apprentice, Sayaka Miki. Kyouko initially antagonizes Sayaka, Madoka and Mami (she also points out Mami's selfishness due to her role in convincing the other two girls to contract), but when Mami witnesses Sayaka fall into despair and become the witch Octavia von Seckendorff, she has a mental breakdown. She intends to die in the fight against Octavia, but Kyouko saves her at the last moment, after seeing a vision of all the magical girls being friends, and later dies in another witch fight. After this, Mami commits suicide, Madoka makes a wish to bring Sayaka back to life, and presumably perishes in the fight against Walpurgisnacht, forcing Homura to reset the timeline once again.

    Appearance:
    here! | bonus: magical girl!

Kyouko's a tiny little thing! Probably 5'2" at max with very long red hair she keeps up in a high ponytail, and red eyes. She has slightly elongated canine teeth, though this is more of a stylistic choice (she isn't a vampire). Looks slightly underfed, so her civilian clothing appears a little oversized.
    Personality:
"Let me protect everyone's happiness. That's my wish."

Kyouko, when met in the 'main timeline' of Madoka Magica is a sullen, selfish, ill-tempered and foul-mouthed little punk. However, her Different Story incarnation is before the world erodes her faith and hardens her heart, and so this Kyouko is a fair bit different. She is, in the beginning at least, a selfless, boisterous, kind and polite young lady, who makes a wish to help her father. She seeks out a witch she lost in a fight, not for the reward of a Grief Seed, but because she allowed it to escape the first time she encountered it. However, she is sorely defeated and has to be saved. Kyouko is humble after her rescue, apologetic toward Mami, and wants to prove herself and become stronger, rather than see her mishap as a defeat she can't recover from. In general, Kyouko is quite humble during this timeline — she defers to Mami as her mentor and as a veteran magical girl without complaint, frequently dismisses her own abilities as inferior to the other girl's, and treats both Mami and her parents with a great deal of respect and love. While she does get a little blustery and overconfident later on during her witch fights, she states it is primarily through both her and Mami's efforts that they are able to work so well together, not simply her own.

Though it is true that Kyouko is willing to steal for her family's well being, she obviously feels guilt for this during this point of her canon development: for one it's outside of her moral view, and two it is sinful — given that she is from a very religious family, this particular act probably weighed heavily on her spirit. And while kind and brave, Kyouko is shown to be reckless. Though she is outclassed in her first witch fight, and traveling into another magical girl's territory is dangerous and sometimes deadly, she does not seem to realize or consider this before going off to fight. Her moral compass is so strong that she is willing to disregard her own safety to maintain it. There are traces of the anger that would later come to consume Kyouko's personality as well: she says herself she is angry at how her father is ignored and mocked for his teachings, she is angry at having to resort to underhanded tactics to feed her family, and by the end she is angry at herself for making a wish without considering the consequences of it. However, this anger is properly directed toward the witches she fights, rather than used to antagonize others.

Most of all, Kyouko is extremely selfless. She makes her wish for her father, rather than herself, and keeps her wish modest. Instead of making a wish for them to be wealthy, she simply wants people to sit and listen to him preach. She believes very strongly in her father's teachings, and wants others to benefit from it. She searches for the witch she left behind out of a sense of duty, not for her own benefit. When she is discovered using magic by her father, she tries to stress that she has done so for the greater good, and her saving others is worth the price she has paid: the selling of her soul.

By the time she is discovered by her father, she begins to question her rose-tinted view of being a magical girl, and Mami's view of doing things for the greater good, noting the presumptuousness in helping others without considering all of the consequences involved. She uses an example of someone committing suicide, stating that even if a person was saved, he would never be viewed the same way again by his friends and family. At this point is where her viewpoints and Mami's begin to diverge. Eventually she comes to believe that Mami and her intentions are too noble for them to really be friends, given the end result of her wish. Kyouko begins to see her wish as a form of hubris, as playing God. And when her family perishes in the church fire her father creates, she has fully realized the folly of this hubris. At that point, she states her intention to only use the power she's gained through her wish for herself. She does this not out of selfishness, but because she believes all her power has ever done, and will ever do, is hurt others. It's important to note that even once Kyouko becomes that unkind, foul-tempered brat seen later on in the series, all of her actions, no matter how seemingly cruel or self-centered, are actually fairly selfless. It's simply that she's so convinced she will only hurt others, and so actively seeks to push them away.

    Abilities:
Forming a contract with Kyuubey gives girls the powers of a Puella Magi. Once making the contract, a girl receives a "Soul Gem," an item which allows them to transform and use magic. The Soul Gem will dull and become tarnished with repeated use, and so must be cleansed with a "Grief Seed," the remains of a witch. Kyouko wears a ring with her name engraved on it in runes, the symbol of her contract, and there is an oval marking on the fingernail of her ring finger. Depending on the nature of the wish and the personality of the girl, the powers, outfit and weaponry vary. Kyouko's wish was for people to listen to her father, and so this grants her the ability to influence others, a variant of mind control, as well as the ability to form multiple copies of herself, or "illusions." This copy ability is referred to as Rosso Phantasma (lit: Red Phantom/Illusion). She is also shown to be able to create illusions of items around her, such as when she changes matches to a boxes of pocky to disorient Witch-kissed victims.

Kyouko's weapon of choice is a large spear. The spear can split into pieces like a scorpion's tail and elongate and shorten at will. She is also shown to have the ability to create shields to protect others or block off areas. She is considerably much stronger, more agile, and faster as a magical girl. Kyouko later gains exemplary control over her magic: she is able to manipulate her Soul Gem, transforming it into items such as large binoculars and an energy version of her spear, all while untransformed.

Of course, there is a catch to all this awesome shiny magical girl stuff. The aforementioned Soul Gem has its name for a reason. Upon making the contract, Kyuubey literally rips a girls' soul from her body and places it in the Soul Gem. This makes their bodies little more than shells animated by their close proximity to said Gem, and if the Soul Gem breaks or is further than 100 meters from their body, they will die. There's another catch to this too. The Soul Gem is a manifestation of not only the girls' soul, but her hopes and dreams. As she uses magic, the gem becomes tarnished by despair and grief, which must be sucked away by a Grief Seed. However, the energy of the hope produced by the wish must be balanced by an equal amount of despair. This means that the girl will experience despair equal to that of the hope of her wish, which will tarnish her Soul Gem.

Eventually, inevitably, this will cause her Soul Gem to become tarnished beyond repair and transform it into a Grief Seed — and transform her into a Witch. This means that all the Witches were originally magical girls.

    SAMPLES;
    First Person:
    joint post from another game!

Third Person: Kyouko knew this was bad. It broke at least one rule, she was sure: Thou shalt not steal. She would be in so much trouble if someone caught her, and her father would be disappointed. But she was hungry, and going into that house and stealing someone's food seemed even worse, even if it was supposed to be her house. Obviously there had been some sort of mistake. She hadn't lived in a place that nice in a long time.

So, she decided to climb an apple tree. Whoever it belonged to wouldn't miss one apple (or two), she thought, and once she got them she'd just climb down and make her way out of this backyard. No harm, no foul. If she could get her Soul Gem to work, she could manage to...well, she wasn't sure. Finding Mami seemed to be the most logical course of action, and surely the other girl was looking for her too. She wasn't even sure if Mami was here, and that was a thought that was a fair bit too terrifying to entertain. Being trapped in some weird place, in some weird house that wasn't hers, her only means to defend herself wasn't working...and then her senpai missing? It sounded like something right out of a horror movie.

Kyouko did not indulge in many horror movies (she wasn't allowed to most of the time), but she knew enough of the ins-and-outs to know that the line of thinking she was headed down led nowhere good. It was best to focus on the tree. She climbed carefully, but awkwardly — Kasamino City and her lifestyle afforded few opportunities for things like tree-climbing, and without her magical girl powers she would be in a bind if something were to happen.

A stray gust of wind cut her thoughts off abruptly. She lost her balance, and for a brief and horrifying moment, she was certain she would fall, but she grabbed hold of a nearby branch at the last moment. She breathed out slowly, said a tiny thank you to whoever had been looking out for her just then, and continued to climb. The apples were so close, and she only needed to reach out.

She hadn't thought about the climb down yet. She didn't really want to.

    History: Wiki page for Dad!
    Wiki page for Homestuck!

Appearance: Dad is an average height, caucasian male who is on the heavier built side muscle wise. He's clean shaven and bald, dressing in a very business like manner. He also possesses an admirable nose.

Personality: Mr. Egbert is everything you would expect from a single father who smokes a pipe and dresses in a very business like fashion. He's a hard working family man who don't need no woman! Okay that's not strictly true, but he is your poster boy for family man. Well mannered, well spoken, forever supportive of his family and always doing his best for them; the man shops at the Dadly Depot for goodness sake! You really can't get more fatherly than that. Of course, shopping at such centers doesn't strictly make you a father, but that's where the rest of what he does comes in.

Remember when I mentioned him being endlessly supportive? You will never see this exemplified better than with his adoptive son John. He leaves multiple notes of encouragement for the boy, always reminding him how proud of him he is. Because he is always proud of his son. If you enter their house, you will see harlequins everywhere, and you might think this is because he likes them, but in reality? It's really because he believes John likes them and is likely trying to connect to his son in some fashion. His wallet is full of fond family memories in the form of photographs, many of them being times he spent with John baking, playing the piano, and everything they've done together in between. He is nothing but a very loving, almost doting father.

But beyond the fatherly figure, he is also a loving son. He was close with his mother, learning to bake from her, learning to prank from her, and trying to share these family traditions with John as he was growing up. After the woman's untimely death, she was cremated and he keeps her ashes on the mantle in front of a large portrait of her. These are kept in their living room. Always near by.

As mentioned previously, it is a family tradition to bake and prank, and he carries these both on well. From a very early age his adoptive son learns how to bake and receives pies to the face daily. It's a constant pranking war almost as he teaches him the ways of practical japery, and John takes to it like a fish to water. Baking, on the other hand...the man does so much baking, feeds the boy so much cake, that by his thirteenth birthday rolls around he's tired of it. He's tired of cake and never wants to see it again. Which is a shame, considering he's getting at least three for his birthday! It's to the point that John hates Betty Crocker, calling her the Batterwitch, so that should say something about just how much he bakes.

Despite the baking and pranking and harlequins, however, Mr. Egbert is really just a simple business man. This comes as the Most Shocking Twist Yet in young John's life as he enters his father's room and finds it devoid of clowns or joke anything. But really, it's not that surprising. The man dresses like a business man. He owns a collection of fine hats and smokes tobacco pipes. He's very serious about shaving and is never without a straight razor or can of shaving cream. He owns and uses a PDA with the Serious Business app installed, allowing him to keep in touch with all of his business-like buddies to discuss Serious Business. The signs were all there.

Abilities: Beyond being a master prankster and excellent baker, Mr. Egbert also possesses amazing strength. You could almost call it super strength, as he's able to easily lift extremely heavy objects, such as large safes, over his head. He can break through prison bars, he can overpower even the most formidable of opponents, he can punch enemies clear through thick cement walls; his MANGRIT levels are likely very, very high.

Other: Nothing I can think of!

    SAMPLES;
First Person: Route fourth wall threads!

Third Person: This was nothing like the Dadly Depot. Of course, it was - as far as he'd heard - his best bet in finding everything he was looking for in one place. So the man entered the shopping center and began his quest. Actually, quest was a little over dramatic really. He just needed a straight razor. And some shaving creme. Maybe a new hat or two, a couple of ties, some pipe tobacco...

    A pipe.

Okay, perhaps it was a quest. Either way though, a basket was taken in hand and the search began. Aisle by aisle he wandered, scouring the shelves critically, casually amassing items that weren't exactly on his list, but ones his house hold could probably use.

"Excuse me," he would interject politely to men passing by, "do you happen to know which aisle has the straight razors stocked? I don't think these new multi-bladed razors work quite as dependably as a single blade." Or maybe he's asking them about the pipe and pipe tobacco. Mr. Egbert is making an effort to find the items he needs without having to address the entire neighborhood.

As helpful as their little network was, he didn't want to bother everyone with these small problems. Then again, speaking with other dads and men alike could prove useful...

He would put that on his to-do list, right under laundary.

    [personal profile] manlyasfuck 2013-12-05 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Personality: For a twelve year old boy, Dipper has quite a head on his shoulders. He's able to solve problems, puzzles, and think of multiple ways to attack a situation.

As it turned out, only a week or so after first arriving to Gravity Falls, there was a murder.

Well, okay, it was the murder of a wax figurine, but it was still serious enough that the police had to be involved. Though it was such a hard case to crack that said police couldn't figure it out themselves. So, Dipper took it upon himself to solve the mystery of who killed wax Stan. Only minutes into his investigation, he found clues. Footprints that showed a hole in one of the murderer's shoes, and an axe. Because of the axe, the first person he left to investigate was Manly Dan, the local lumberjack. However, Manly Dan informed him that the axe was a left handed axe. He went off to his other suspects and used various different ways to find out who was left handed and who wasn't. After his long search, he finally found himself the main suspect. A reporter who wrote his stories with his left hand and who also had a hole in one of his shoes, like the murderer's footprints. Yes, he thought he had this case completely solved, but it turned out Mr. Reporter actually had an alibi. He had the axe checked for fingerprints just in case there was something he missed and it turned out, there was no fingerprints. Later that evening, after studying wax Stan, he found out that the real murderer was in fact the other wax figures his Great Uncle had stored in another room. It took him all day but this twelve year old was able to figure out a mystery that not even professional police could figure out.

Another shining moment of this boy's smart was during the fair his Great Uncle set up. He went to the fair with a girl named Wendy; the girl of his dreams. Things were going smoothly up until Dipper tried a ball toss game to win Wendy one of the prizes. He ended up throwing the ball and having it hit Wendy in the eye. He left to get her ice but when he returned, Robbie, one of Wendy's friends, was already at her side; And as it turned out, he ended up asking her out and they started going steady. Dipper was heartbroken after finding this out and he moped the whole day, wishing there was some way to turn back time and fix this. Well, it was his lucky day because he ended up running into a time traveler, and he borrowed the time traveler's time machine. He went back in time and tried over 10 different ways of throwing the baseball so it wouldn't hit Wendy, but it ended up hitting her all times. So he thought. He thought, and thought, and thought, and he finally came up with a solution; He'd use his sister's help. So, with his sister, he was finally able to throw the winning ball and get Wendy her gift, without Robbie asking her out.

Though Dipper is very smart for his age, he also over thinks about just about anything.

Such as the first day he and his sister arrived to Gravity Falls, his sister fell in love with a shady looking character. Thanks to a book Dipper found earlier about paranormal happenings in Gravity Falls, he was convinced her new boyfriend was none other than a zombie. He followed them around the whole day, video taping their dates just so he could analyze them later and figure out if this guy was a zombie or not. However, at first, it didn't seem like he was a zombie after all. So this guy bled out his face and walked kind of like the stereotypical zombies in movies, it didn't mean he was undead, right?

Another instance of how he tends to think things way too thoroughly was during a party his Great Uncle held. He wanted to spend the evening with Wendy, so he wrote up a huge list of what to do during the night. However, once things started going against how he thought they were going to go, he decided he needed help. Using a magic copy machine he found earlier in the attic, he made 9 copies of himself and with the help of them, his list got bigger and more complicated. They thought of just about anything that could go wrong, like the music glitching out or Robbie asking Wendy to dance, and they found solutions to every situation they thought of. Finally, the night was going to be perfect and Dipper was going to be able to ask Wendy to dance.... though he found her needing to use the bathroom right when he was going to ask her to dance, which completely threw him off.

If something gets in the way of his plans, he can't really cooperate as well. He's really more of a "think things through" than "action first" kind of guy.

    Characters Name: Marie Parfacy/Soma Peries
    Age: 25
    Canon: Gundam 00
Canon Point: Post season 2; pre-movie timeline
    Species: Human
    Gender: Female
Orientation: Much of her life has been dedicated to serving the HRL, and was far from normal. Raised in a lab and then sent to serve in the military, the girl’s only idea of love was a boy she met and loved based on circumstance. She could not see him; could only talk to him. She fell in love with a personality - a faceless voice who was the only one who treated her normally. It can’t be said that she would put too much weight on gender. She would instead base love on other qualities. So putting her in a house with either a woman or a man would be acceptable in Holly Heights.

    History: link

    Appearance: here

Personality: Before “Soma Peries” even existed, there was only “Marie Parfacy”, a young girl who belonged to the HRL’s Super Soldier Organization program. She was named by the scientists who genetically engineered and bred her specifically for their project. Later, scientists implanted the personality of “Soma Peries” into her, in high hopes of turning her into a perfect soldier for their war against Celestial being. That said, both personalities live inside of her still and are very much like different people. While Soma Peries was initially made unaware of her past as Marie Parfacy, Marie remained completely aware of Soma the entire time that she was in control, despite being unable to surface. And once Soma Peries was made aware of Marie, she remained aware when she came to the surface, despite her refusal to acknowledge their connection until quite some time later.

Marie Parfacy grew up in a lab where she was paralyzed at a young age and stripped of her senses. From that moment on she lived in a world of darkness where she could not see, speak or move. She laid on a bed encased in glass all alone when the scientists weren’t experimenting on her. This was her life, because this was what she had been created for; it was what she was born for. This was her purpose. And yet, when she was alone in her room, she used her quantum brainwaves to reach out to other living people in the only way that she could. Because of the experiments performed in these labs, the potential Super Soldiers were created with the ability to process these special quantum brainwaves that normal humans could not. It allowed them to communicate with other beings capable of using them through their thoughts. And that’s what she did. Marie continued to call out to someone… anyone, through her mind, longing for companionship.

Despite her life circumstances, Marie never gave up. She remained optimistic in spite of everything. Marie lived every day in the only way she could and rather than feel sorry for herself or wishing for something more or different, she was grateful from the bottom of her heart simply to be alive. And she had always been that way. She retained a healthy spiritual belief in God. This is why she later gives Allelujah his name, and tells him that they are alive and that it alone is something to be happy for. Her life is one that might be looked upon as sad and painful, but she never saw it that way. She remains grateful for everything she has and grateful for everything else that life gives her.

She is a loving individual, who is warm and accepting. Being who she is and what she is, she does not judge people regardless of their background. She is understanding and sympathetic and while she is much more difficult to upset then Soma is, Marie is empathetic of other people’s pain and wishes to support and help others when she can. And yet there is much she doesn’t understand. Clearly she has never lived a normal human life, so her social skills are lacking. But thanks to the experiments that later created Soma Peries, she also regained her senses, including her sight. So she can now emulate a sense of normalcy. After being reunited with Allelujah years later, she chose to devote herself to him and his cause, being very much in love with him. Marie also respects Soma and her differences, as well as the bonds that Soma created with people while she was in control. She never put herself before the other and happily accepts Soma as a part of her.

Soma Peries was a personality created for the sake of war. And for the sake of that, the scientists repressed Marie’s memories. It was only Allelujah that later broke through and reminded her of her past, awakening Marie from her forced slumber. After that, she remained aware of Marie, while still refusing to accept her in some aspects, refusing to allow Allelujah to call her by that name rather vehemently. Because unlike Marie, who had always known Soma was there, Soma had lived for a period of time without Marie, which had been up until that point, her sense of self. Only to realize that who she believed she was… was only half of who she really is.

For the sake of being a perfect soldier, Soma was created to listen to orders. She was designed with strong loyalties in mind, both towards her commanding officers and fellow soldiers as well as the HRL and its goals and ideals. She did so often without question. And because her whole purpose was to fight, her personal focus was only on that as well. Soma started out as rather anti-social and distant. She didn’t care about anything outside of her purpose or the battle. That slowly changed over time as Colonel Sergei Smirnov opened up to her, feeling sympathetic for her, as he was against the Super Soldier Organization’s work in the first place. Over time, she too opened up a little because of him, and grew to care for him a great deal. He wished to adopt her and offered to do so, although her meeting with Allelujah and Marie’s awakening put an end to that, when he told her to go, and that he would report that Soma Peries had died honorably in battle so that she could go with Allelujah. For that, while she accepted it, there was certainly a bitterness that remained over losing that freedom.

Unlike Marie, Soma Peries is passionate and easily upset. She holds grudges and would even go so far as to desire revenge. She is less forgiving and more violent in nature then Marie. The death of Sergei Smirnov, her father-figure, brought Soma back to the surface because of the intense anger she felt, and because of the vengeance she desired. While Marie mourned the loss, Soma could only turn her despair to rage and fight to avenge him. Even though it was Sergei Smirnov’s wish for her to never fight again, she went against those wishes in order to fight for satisfaction and a chance for vengeance. However, once she was able to make peace with his killer, Soma and Marie became equals once more and Marie took over again.

When the fighting was over and Celestial Being could rest, it was their wish, as well as Allelujah’s, to travel. More than anything they both want to find their place in the world. Marie wishes to prove that even though she was born to do so, that she could live her life striving to create rather than destroy and find peace within herself with a new, more fulfilling purpose.

Abilities: ‘Soma Peries’ as a Super Soldier, underwent much experimentation, modification and training. Before entering the military, the Super Soldier Institute prepared her for her role. As a Designer Baby, she was created specifically for the project. She has nanomachines embedded in her body which maintain and monitor her physical functions. Her body was made to withstand prolonged trips in space which most humans could not. She also underwent sensory amplification, which was applied to her nervous system to heighten awareness. Her body was altered and treated for life on a harsher environment.

On top of that, she was trained early on for implementation into a high ranking military position. Her physical output is high, and she was trained with both firearms and as a mobile suit pilot. The one most likely to make use of these abilities is Soma. But the other thing that both Soma and Marie share is the ability to utilize quantum brain waves. Those who underwent treatment had their Glial cells enhanced, and became able to use a special brainwave. It is also found in Innovade and Innovators. These particular brain waves are capable of interfering with each other at times, and if aggravated, can result in pounding headaches that result in abnormal behavior. They also allow for communication telepathically, as long as both sides are capable of using these brain waves.

Other: She was previously in Holly Heights and I’d like her to retain those memories.

    SAMPLES;
First Person: [The girl who addresses the network is a bit shy - maybe even nervous. But she’s smiling softly and doing her best to be friendly and outgoing.] Um… hi. My name is Marie Parfacy. It’s nice to meet you all. That is… I wondered if anyone remembered that name. It doesn’t feel like it, but it’s been a while. Things have changed here. It’s not the same that I remember.

But… that’s probably not so strange considering the place we’re talking about. [She laughs a little. The more she talks, the more comfortable she seems to get.] Well… I look forward to getting to know the rest of you. [She nods her head in closing and shuts it off.]

Third Person: How long has it been since she was here last? A short look around told her that it wasn’t the same. There were new buildings, new people… even the structure of the place had changed. And of course, she was put in a new house. Starting all over again… it felt weird, but maybe it was better that way.

She’d flipped through the contact list to look for a few names that were important to her. She saw a few, but not the one she’d been looking for first. Not that she’s entirely surprised. But that’s a little painful in and of itself. But there are two names she was looking for that make her smile.

Marie changes her clothes into something more casual - something from her new wardrobe and goes out to really get a good look around; see what did and what didn’t change. Among the things that she wants to see would be the Veda Tech building and the bakery where she worked before. There’s a lot to see, a lot to do before she really feels like she can try to settle in again.

At the Honeybee Bakery, she orders herself a coffee and a danish. She chats with a few of the employees and lingers; talking to some of the customers - new and old. After a little while, she starts to feel like she’d never really left.

    Character's Name: Klavier Gavin
    Age: 24
    Canon: Ace Attorney
    Canon Point: Post Apollo Justice
    Species: Human
    Gender: Male
Orientation: Heterosexual. When asked why he became a rockstar, he mentions that he wanted women to turn and look at him as he walked down the street, proving that he's interested in women.

    History:

» Plot of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
    » Klavier's background and involvement

    Appearance: Here.

    Personality:

"Someday you'll come to understand... the importance of thinking for yourself."

Out of all the prosecutors in the Ace Attorney canon, Klavier is probably the epitome of cool, calm and collected. He's very honest about himself, which coincides with how he likes to keep himself simple. He believes that there are no sides in the court of law, which goes to show that there really isn't any right or wrong. Simply the truth. Lies and deception only wind up complicating things and he doesn't like that. As such, Klavier doesn't mind helping the defense whenever necessary so the court will be able to put the right person behind bars.

Klavier often likes to keep things light in the court, teasing the defense when he sees fit and making pointed comments to his opponent when he sees another approach to the cross-examination that the defense may have missed out on. His teasing personality carries outside of the courtroom as he would sometimes poke others and their amusing quirks, whether it be a fan, the detective on the job or his opposition on the case. Despite that, he knows when he needs to be respectful to those around him, curbing his teasing nature when the situation calls for it.

"Ask the wind, I'll be riding it."

The air he carries around him is like that of a prince. Perhaps it's the cool, calm and collected attitude that helps him seem that way. And considering that he's a rock god to many females, they consider him as one. His confidence shines through in the court and he's not afraid to flaunt it. Perhaps it's because of his rockstar persona as well but it could very well be a strategy against the defense as well.

Another thing that needs to point out is that he is a huge flirt. Regardless of age difference, he will hit on you if you are female. While some of the things he says are facepalm worthy, his attitude and confidence play a crucial part to his delivery because he is somehow able to make it work and get great results. Even a simple wave to his fans is enough to make them go crazy.

But that doesn't mean that he's just all show. His own bandmate mentions that Klavier may seem flashy but he's straight as an arrow. It's definitely a good way to describe him, seeing as he's a very by the book kind of guy. Not once do you see him using unsavory tactics to pull the rug underneath Apollo's feet. He simply uses the facts and evidences collected for the case to his advantage, which of course isn't a bad thing. He just wants to let the truth come to light after all.

"Achtung baby! Today we play it my way!"

As a rockstar, he's a big fan of concert and music metaphors. He often tells the judge that the prosecution is ready to rock or that they should be ready for a good show. He also brings up the topic of his band and their songs while in court should the metaphor fit to a point in the case.

He is a bit of a spoiled brat, not wanting to do the investigative footwork for the cases that he is given. Most of the time he would leave that up to the detectives on the case as that was really their job while his was prosecuting and finding who the true culprit was. To him that meant that he didn't need to be out on the field more than necessary. Sure, he'd visit every once in a while, but the rest of the time, he'll just kick back in his office and look over the findings before the case. This could also be seen as reckless as he might miss out on some clues that may be added to the court record but he is still able to work with whatever is presented to him.

"I play new rock, not Great Balls of Fire! Speaking of fire, I have a good mind to fire whoever's responsible!"

Klavier's also got a bit of a perfectionist streak in him. He can practice forever and ever so he can get a rift or bridge perfectly. When his bandmates mess up during a concert, he will make it a point to find who is at fault even if most people wouldn't even notice a missed note or if something was played wrong. Whenever he goes into perfectionist mode, he can become a bit of a diva. His attitude shifts and he gets extremely temperamental. Any little thing will set him off. Of course, he'll be able to calm down eventually but it would probably be in everyone's best interest to keep away from him during those times.

As mentioned earlier, Klavier likes to keep things simple. This philosophy does not only apply in court but also to the relationships he has with his friends and acquaintances. He wants things to be civil as to not add any unnecessary stress or worry to his day. If you really think about it, that's probably why he's always got it together.

    Abilities:

He's a very good prosecutor and even if he does not have the same perfect conviction records as other prosecutors, Klavier still proved to be good at his job as he seeks the truth. He only wishes that the right person be in jail so a "loss" in the court would still count as a win for him.

Klavier plays the guitar well and could sing too. He was the lead guitarist and vocalist of his band, Gavinners. The band began in 2019, and wound up rising to fame among the mostly younger crowd. In 2026, Klavier disbanded the group to put more focus on his law career.

He can speak Borginian, German and English.

    Other: Nothing comes to mind.

[Klavier begins the feed on the network strumming his guitar. Of course it's the first thing he bought upon arriving. He simply couldn't live without one, even if he no longer plays with a band.]

With Christmas only a few days away, I'm sure everyone's getting into the spirit, ja? But you can't exactly call it Christmas without some music.

[And he pauses his playing to snap his fingers.]

Perhaps we could get things rocking with a Christmas concert? How does that sound? Everyone will be invited, of course. I can guarantee a concert that is sure to bring down the house. Who would want to miss out on something like that?

If you're still not convinced maybe a small preview might change your mind.

[With that, he begins playing his guitar once more. The tune may seem familiar to some, and as it turns out, he begins singing Santa Buddy. Yes, the male version of the classic Santa Baby because #HoHoNoHomo. Enjoy, Holly Heights.]

    IC INFORMATION;
    Characters Name: Jim 'Crocodile' Cook.
    Age: 18
    Canon: Yu-Gi-Oh GX
Canon Point: Mid-way through season three, just after his (temporary) death at the hands of the Supreme King
    Species: Human
    Gender: Male
Orientation: Although in canon he’s never in a relationship there has been evidence for his interest in both genders, so bisexual would be a decent fit. He is close enough to the main character (Juudai) that another character asks if there is anything going on between them. He is also very friendly and shows some interest in Asuka, giving her the nickname ‘Tomorrow Girl’ (which is a pun of her name). In short he would be comfortable with either a boy or girl if he got along with them.

History: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Jim_Crocodile_Cook The names are different as this uses the dub version, but the histories are the same.
    Appearance: Picture in above link.
Jim is one of the tallest characters on the show, and is most likely from Australia (given the vague clues of South Academies where abouts in canon). He wears a slouch hat and other ‘typical’ outback gear with a leather vest, orange bandanna around his neck and a white shirt. One of the more noticeable features of his attire is the bandages he wears across his head and over his right eye. These he wears since the eye beneath is missing and was replaced with a magical one when he was young. His hair is spiky, black, and sticks ups on both sides as it is divided by his hat and bandages.

Personality: One of Jim’s defining features is the complete faith he has in his friends. Before arriving at Duel Academy his best friend is implied to be Karen, the crocodile he keeps with him. He lost his right eye as a child by saving her from a trap set by hunters, and outrights states his faith in her throughout the season. He is very insistent that she is not a pet, but his friend, and she allows him to carry her on his back. Throughout his time in the Dark World it is his faith and friendship with Juudai that drives him to find him when they are separated, and (at first) to save him from the Supreme King. After it is revealed that Juudai himself is the Supreme King Jim stops at nothing to save him from himself. The Magic Eye that was given to him to replace the one he lost had to power to help a friend when it was needed most, which would be indicated by a meteor. This sign is what lights the Dark World and Jim uses this power to try and save Juudai. He is ultimately unsuccessful but throughout the duel he never gives up and his faith never weavers. As he dies Karen jumps in fount to protect him and dies with him, which is another indication of the faith they have in one another.

Another key characteristic is how relaxed and laid back he is; he rarely gets angry and is calm throughout most of the events of season. This is not to say he does not get passionate while duelling, he is just slow to anger and will take almost everything in his stride. It takes the death of a village he was trying to save to get him to lose his temper and even then he does not act rashly. He is also fond of giving nicknames to the people he really likes, but he does not give everyone he knows one. His speech is quite casual, even with the slang that you would expect from an Aussie.

Although he is relaxed a majority of the time, he is also passionate while duelling, as a lot of duellists are, and is very proficient at it. Jim is a terrible, or at least very wild, driver, although the only time we see him drive is in the Dark World so that might be circumstantial. However this does demonstrate the side of him that thrives in the Outback and that for how laid back he is a lot of the time, he is not without passion.

Jim is also a very gentle and patient character. His treatment of Karen and his deck is loving and kind at all times and this trait extends to the other people and fossils. Jim is a geologist, with a special focus in palaeontology, and one of the reasons he looks for fossils is because he believes that they are old souls that must be released from their prison as soon as possible. His patience is also shown when he tries explaining thing to people who do not have the same background of knowledge he has. Usually this is related to scientific things like the electro-magnetic waves that caused another character and Karen to act strangely or geological things.

Abilities: When he was young he lost his left eye while he was saving a crocodile (who he later befriended) and the missing eye was replaced a stone called ‘the Eye of Orichalcum’ by a strange man who witnessed what had happened. The eye’s power was something that would help a friend in need when the time was right, but it was used during the Dark World events in season three and it is unknown if it was put back in or replaced with something else. The bandages he wears covers his eye at all times so his eye shouldn’t be a problem.

Jim is also a brilliant duellist and was the top student at his school. He has a strong bond with his deck, as most duellist do, and is said to be an expert in geology (in particular palaeontology).

Other: There is a gorgeous screencap of O'Brien asking Jim if 'anything is going on between him and Juudai' but alas my computer has lost it.

    SAMPLES;
First Person:[The camera flicks on the reveal a worried face. Jim looks into the camera dead on and the feed has not been going two seconds before he speaks.]

Hello. My name is Jim Crocodile Cook. I’m new here and I’m looking for my friends. I don’t know how many are here but one was with me when I left the last dimension I was in. Her name is Karen and she’s an almost two meter long crocodile.

[He pauses for a moment, not at all concerned about how strange that might sound.]

She’s friendly, and shouldn’t attack anyone unless she’s been agitated. I just wouldn’t feed her though; she won’t accept food from anyone but me.

[Or close friends but Juudai was an exception, in more ways than one. Before he speaks again there is another pause as this next bit is difficult.]

I don’t know much about this place yet, and this might sound a bit strange, but I just came from another dimension where people disappeared when they lost a duel.

[Obviously everywhere has Duel Monsters. He’s been to three dimensions (including his own world) already and they all had it.]
We thought that those people had died but considering I’m here I might not be the only person who suddenly appeared.

[If this was indeed the place duellists arrived at upon their death then Asuka, Kenzan, Manjoume, and Fubuki would be here. As well as the countless others who lost their lives thanks to the Supreme King. Is O’Brien was successful Juudai had a lot to explain.]

Their names are Tenjoin Asuka and Fubuki, Manjoume Jun, and Kenzan. There should also be countless other duellists but they are the ones I know well. Freed and his villages might be here too, but interdimension travels seems to be a fickle thing.

[The last sentence brings a smile, but the undercurrent of worry never leaves him.]

Anyway, the main point of this is that if I’m here than a few of my friends might be too and if anyone has seen them, especially Karen, then I’d love to know. I woke up in front of house (whatever it is) so if you see them or know anything I’ll probably be here. Thanks!

[He ends the message with a smile before the feed goes blank.]

Third Person:The first thing he sees when he opens his eyes is a perfectly neat lawn in front of him and a row of near identical houses beyond that. He blinks in surprise before smiling because as it turns out death isn’t so bad after all. That is of course if he even died at all, given the fickle nature of inter-dimension travel.

“Well Karen, I think it’s safe to say this isn’t the Dark World anymore huh,” he says as he turns to the side, his hand extending out to pat his Crocodile.

“Karen?” He calls when his hand meets nothing. His voice has a hint of amusement in it since this was a game Karen was fond of playing under normal circumstances. But there was also a hint of worry in it since the last thing he remembered was the Supreme King killing them both. He sits up and looks behind him when he releases she’s not beside him, now worried that he can’t find her anywhere.

“Karen! Karen come here!” he calls out with more urgency this time.
It does not occur to him that she might not have made it to this world because he won’t accept that. They hadn’t lost each other yet and he be damned if Juudai were the one who separated them somehow.

“Damn it,” he swears under his breath as he gets up to look for her, clenching his fists in worry. She is nowhere on the lawn and as he tightens his hands together he notices the metal he’s been holding since he woke up. Blinking in surprise he looks down at his hand and notices the keys.

“What on Earth,” he mutters under his breath as he looks around. There is no one on the street so he walks cautiously up to the house. He calls out to Karen again once he reaches the balcony but falls silent when he find an envelope addressed to him at the front door.

‘Where on Earth has Juudai sent me now?’ he wonders as he opens the letter.

    Canon: K
    Canon Point: Pre-anime.
    Species: Human
    Gender: Male
Orientation: He hasn't shown any interest in relationships (at least not as blatantly as Hidaka does) so I'll have to go with computersexual. In other words, let's go heterosexual until proven otherwise.

History: Wiki link! There isn't much written about Eno's history yet but that link should have his involvement in the plot so far.
Appearance: He's the dude on the extreme right
    Personality:

At first glance, Tatsuya (Eno to his friends) is possibly the last person anyone would think is a member of Scepter 4. While his comrades have a certain sense of bravado about them, a certain gung-ho attitude, he kind of sticks out. Tatsuya doesn't seem to share the same enthusiasm, the same ballsiness as the rest of his team. One can call him the team nerd. He's expressed a love of comics, both Japanese and Western as well as video games. He knows a lot about computers and setting them up, being able to identify an older model within the first few minutes of him stepping into a colleague's room and even spending his free day putting together a harddrive. Along with that form of technological intellect however comes the stereotypical social awkwardness one would expect from the nerd label. He's a shy thing, the last to step up and tries not to make himself stick out of the crowd. He also serves as the voice of reason for some of the more foolhardy members of the team, the one who isn't afraid to go "Guys, this doesn't seem like such a good idea" when the situation calls for. He tends to see the worst-case-scenario in any situation and prepares himself for that instead of looking at the positive side of things. Some may call this pessimism, the more optimistic call him being cautious. He’s the sort who would rather stay back and watch instead of jumping right in without preparation. This also leads to him being observant. Enomoto is surprisingly full of tiny things he notices about his colleagues: how careless Hidaka can be, his captain's oddities, Fushimi’s personality quirks. He's the quiet sort, only speaking up when asked or to protest when the rest of his team throws him under the bus. However, Eno doesn’t come across as antisocial or aloof. He gets along with everyone and also seems to carry a sense of responsibility for his peers, most specifically the rowdier members of Scepter 4. Eno appears to be a sort of "big brother" figure especially to Hidaka who he seems to be closest to. If Hidaka misbehaves, he considers himself responsible enough to apologize for his colleague's misbehaviour. And one can also say that it's this sort of mentality that makes it okay for him to get thrown under the bus by his team when need be. After all, every team needs someone with a level head.

It also isn't to say that he's content with being the target of involuntary volunteering. Eno also seems to dream of something bigger for himself, despite his lack of self-esteem. He sees himself as a lot of things: A man lacking in fashion and someone who has the potential for greatness. Quite the opposing side of the spectrum, to be sure. He believes himself needing a chance to step up and into the limelight and out of his current "lowly peon" status. He named his sword Enomoto no Tsurugi, copying the legendary swords that he sees in video games which one can assume would be his seeing himself as a hero of sorts. However, these are all things he imagines himself as rather than taking action and making them happen.

However, this isn't to say that Eno is spineless. He may be cautious, he may be shy but he isn't at all weak or cowardly. Eno is just as capable as any other member of Scepter 4, facing any battle and following orders from his superiors without flinching. He willingly remains in the frontlines when needed, joining the fight during the takeover of Ashinaka High School when HOMRA was looking for Shirou. The only time he shows any reluctance is when he has to follow any orders from Munakata. His captain can ask for the unpredictable. Then again, no member of Scepter 4 goes against their King's orders, however bizzare and Eno is no exception. He may be reluctant and filled with fear but Eno knows who the boss is and he doesn't dare question his whims.

Post on Dear Mun made just recently. If that isn't enough, I can write up a new sample!

    Third Person:
None of this made any sense. The letter sounded welcoming at the very most but he couldn't help but feel a little bit wary about the whole thing. After all, the cards were a bit too accurate for his liking. After all, he didn't recall applying for that driver's license, much less posing for the picture on it. And there were the keys. Sure enough, there was one for his shiny new convertible (A little more than what he was comfortable driving. After all, if he crashed it, he paid for it) and one for his house. Sure, it was far more opulent than the Scepter 4 headquarters but that was a government building. This was a house. The other multicolored keys are glanced over with the thought that they would be looked over soon enough. Tomorrow. Tomorrow would be a good time.
For now, there was a house to look over.
The key slid easily into the door and with a creak that made him remember one-too-many-a-good-slasher-flick, he stepped cautiously into what seemed to be an empty house. "Hello?" Tatsuya called to no one in particular, straightening up as he ventured deeper past the front door. "The letter said something about a family even if that part didn't really make any sense. I'm Tatsuya Enomoto and I'll be liv--"
His words caught in his throat when he finally caught sight of the beautiful contraption assembled on a nearby table.
It wasn't as sleek as the ones they used back in headquarters, not at all equipped with holo display or a multi-point processor but he loved antiques like these. His fingers ran reverently over the top of the laptop, half in disbelief, the other in silent awe. "They don't even make these anymore! This is an antique!" he laughed, gleefully rubbing his cheek up against the top of the laptop. "Thank you, Mister Landlord!" Tatsuya cried out before setting the machine back down. "Now let's see what you can do."

    Age: Late 20s
    Canon: Tiger&Bunny
    Canon Point: Post tv series
    Species: Human
    Gender: Male
Orientation: Heterosexual most likely, he falls in love with a lady in the series.
    History: http://tigerbunny.wikia.com/wiki/Sky_High
    Appearance: http://i.imgur.com/dLswIO6.jpg
    Personality:

Keith is just a sweet, good natured guy who will do anything and everything for his friends and family. He can get along with just about anybody so long as they aren't the villainous type. He's extremely polite, well mannered and a little on the loud side. He tends to repeat himself sometimes to make sure he can be understood. He can come off a bit campy or naive in this respect. He can be a bit annoying for some, but it's never out of malice for the other person.

While on HeroTv, he becomes the hero named Sky High. He throws out a bit of dramatics for the cameras, but he has great stage presence. Thanks to his positive traits, marketable personality and skills he earns the top spot in the rankings and the title King of Heroes early on in the series. He is the most popular hero and both fans and his superiors alike adore him. He is very dutiful to his job and it even spills over into his personal life where he will patrol the city during his off hours.

However things start to change a little after the second half. Keith is dethroned by Barnaby from the top spot of the rankings and thus starts to feel insecure about himself. He just wants to be the best out there, to not lose towards anyone in order to please the public. He only tells of his troubles towards a young woman he meets in the park, suggesting that its difficult for him to talk about his own personal life to his friends and coworkers. He falls in love with her, and he doesn't tell any of his coworkers suggesting he doesn't like to open up about his personal life. Perhaps he just thinks it will be a burden on other people He's also not very good at the topics of sexual and romantic prospects in general, getting nervous or stuttering whenever it is brought up. He doesn't even seem to realize that the woman is an android from her canned responses and off kilter behavior, proving that love is blind. But he gets his confidence back either way.

While Keith is happy-go-lucky by default, he can get serious and drop the goofiness in a heartbeat if the situation calls for it. If there is something to be done, he focuses on it. He can get angry, but it would take something drastic like putting friends and family in immediate danger. Finally he is fit and works hard to keep himself in shape.

Abilities: Air Manipulation. The ability to create and manipulate his own wind. Can be used for offensive attacks or to cushion himself or others from falls. He can achieve hovering with the ability but not full flight. While his powers are active, his body and eyes glow blue, signifying that he is a NEXT which is a human with a mutation causes his powers.

Also while it's not an ability or superpower, Keith is in top physical condition. In order to be a hero after all, he has to keep in great physical condition.

    Other: n/a I guess.

    Characters Name: Hibiki Kuze
    Age: 18 years old
    Canon: Devil Survivor 2
    Canon Point: After Triumphant Ending
    Species: Human
    Gender: Male
Orientation: Bisexual, although leaning towards the females more than males. Reason of that is Hibiki's genuinely not the kind of person to be wrapped up in gender when he begins to like someone of a romantic nature. There is a distinct difference between his attraction to women and attraction to men, however, as for him to consider going out with a guy, he's gotta know him first and build up good chemistry, whereas with a girl, he might just, y'know, ask 'em out on a date like any other guy to get to know them.

History: Although I'm predominantly following the game in terms of the events that happened during Devil Survivor 2, the anime/manga is the only media that showed Hibiki's actual backstory, so I'll use that too. Hibiki grew up distant with his parents, and was actually bullied a lot at school. A direct contrast to his adult self, he was very subdued and closed off to people as a child as well, until Daichi Shijima, his best friend, defended him from bullies, and they struck up an unbreakable bond since. Hibiki helped him study, and eventually they managed to get into the same high school together, where Hibiki made the brave decision to screw what his dad said (which was to choose his friends wisely, i.e dump Daichi and go to have a successful, work-orientated life), and enjoy life with his friend. Now that his backstory is out of the way, the game's - eh this will go on forever if I write all of it out, so here's a super handy link to the events of Triumphant Route!

(If you want me to flesh it out some more though just send me a quick message and I'll rectify it!)

But seriously, if you want something a bit more in depth, here is the anime character profile pics of him. Not much to say about his appearance really, except for that bunny eared hoodie of his.

Hibiki Kuze | Devil Survivor 2 | Reserved

    [personal profile] shiningstyle 2014-01-01 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
Personality: Hibiki Kuze is a silent protagonist within the game, but the dialogue choices do put forth a type of 'base' for his personality, which predominantly seems to focus on a weird sense of humour. So, on the surface, Hibiki seems like a normal high school student. He's playful and prone to making off the wall comments, making him rather laid-back. He prefers to keep the mood light and easy between himself and other people, minimising conflict as much as possible, though not because he's scared of confrontation (on the contrary, he holds his own pretty well if he has to get into someone's face). It's because he dislikes fighting. Violence and hurting others never appeals to him, and if possible, he will always take the peaceful approach if there is one available. If there isn't, well, then Hibiki will simply roll up his sleeves and get it over and done with as quickly as possible. He won't enjoy it, but he will damn well smack some heads together if he has to.

His personality can be a bit flexible at times because of this quality. In peaceful moments between friends, he is an understanding, kind young man who will happily lend an ear to your woes. He will also crack jokes and be silly, even in serious situations, to ease tension and worries. But if they're in a desperate, dangerous situation, Hibiki will suddenly be fierce and aggressive, snapping out commands to his friends and throwing himself into the fray against the demons and Septentrione to defend them. Hibiki doesn't fight for ideals or dreams like the majority of the Devil Survivor 2 cast does - Hibiki fights for the survival and happiness of his friends. All he wants is for them, all of them, to get through the end of the world, and come out on the other side safe and sound, if a little bumped and bruised.

This is why I'm taking him from where he chose Triumphant Ending. This is the route where Hibiki joins the faction of Daichi Shijima - his best friend - and several others who want to stop Yamato Hotsuin and Ronaldo Kuriki from fighting over their ideal worlds, when there are much bigger issues about, such as the world being eaten by a giant void. The protagonist was dumped in the middle of this three way fight, being tugged in all directions by his friends. Understandably, this is a pretty distressing place to be, as stated before, his friends are his top priority. Even in the anime, Hibiki had been uncertain about who was right and wrong regarding the situation, just wishing for a way to save everyone with little to no casualties if possible.

So Hibiki joined with his best friend, and sought to defeat the other two factions to get them to calm the hell down and unite against the true enemy: Polaris. In his eyes, this seemed like the only choice where everyone could survive. This is where Hibiki's scary determination to defend his friends rears its head - he hates fighting, dislikes it with a passion, yet if he had to, he will fight his own friends if it would ensure their safety. Throughout the battles with Ronaldo and Yamato, Hibiki will ask for them to calm down, or to stop (but of course they won't until defeated), and afterwards, he can even seek them out individually to coax them back onto their side.

Triumphant is the only ending where Ronaldo and Yamato would willingly be on the same team together - these two hate each other, so for Hibiki to be able to convince them to join forces with him shows how great his charisma is.

So this seems like a pretty good quality to have, doesn't it? To fiercely protect his friends, even from their own ideals. However, this can also be a very bad flaw in him, as he tends to take it to extreme levels himself. Hibiki tends to put others before himself to a great deal, and even in the anime, he has a worrying habit of shouldering the responsibility on his own. This seems like a bit of a coping mechanism at times, as he seems to use other people's happiness as a distraction from his own unhappiness. If other people needed him, had their own problems, then Hibiki didn't have to think on his own either. It was probably a cowardly way to deal with his life, but again, Hibiki only wished to help other people, not himself. Needless to say, kind or not, this is a somewhat unhealthy way to live, but Hibiki hides this side of him so well that most people don't realise. In fact, most people that come into contact with Hibiki say he's an extremely charismatic young man, and that they always feel at ease with him, able to discuss their problems and fears with him openly and frankly. Hibiki uses this trait to ensure that most, if not all, of focus is on the other person in conversation, and reveals very little of himself in exchange. If he does give out information, it is all very superficial and unimportant, and the only person he ever feels comfortable in discussing his own worries with is Daichi Shijima, his childhood friend.

But that isn't to say that Hibiki is distant from the friends he defends so fiercely. He doesn't place himself higher than them, or thinks he knows better than them. In fact, he's quite silly, and is prone to teasing them a great deal. An example would be the running gag of him calling Makoto a pervert every time she comes to wake him up in the morning, due to a time when she walked in on him getting changed. It gets to the point where he calls her a pervert even when she's outside his room, just asking to come in. He does other ridiculous things with his friends as well, singing rainbow when Joe mentions the Rainbow Bridge, or commanding the Dragon Stream to "shrinky shrinky". His humour is childish and silly, and is deliberately so to try and make others laugh or lighten a heavy atmosphere.

In this case, Hibiki is good with morale. He's a strong leader with a fierce drive to defend his friends from harm - yet he understands the necessity of having breather moments between the horrors everyone is forced to fight against. Laughter is the best medicine, and all that. Of course, considering the events of the games, Hibiki's humour has taken a bit of a dip into the morbid territory, and he sometimes incorporates black comedy into his ridiculousness. Although he knows when to put on the Leader Face, Hibiki can sometimes gauge the situation wrong and pull inappropriate jokes, something which Hinako calls him on at one point by saying that "only [she] would play along with that kind of joke right now!"

So in short, Hibiki's a kind young man who puts others before himself a little too much, with a mischievous personality. It's difficult for him to be selfish in a way that truly matters, but so long as everyone else is happy with their lot in life, Hibiki is content. This makes him both capable and weak in dangerous situations, as so long as he has one friend alive to defend, he'll keep going, but if all of them were killed despite his attempts to save them, well, he would most likely lapse into a mindless, angry grief. Kind and hopeful to a fault, that describes Hibiki well enough.

Abilities: He has a phone with the demon summoning app on it, but otherwise he's a plain human. For mundane abilities, he's quite smart, and...that's it. He's pretty much normal.

I think the phone comes under powers, so he's not gonna have it (I doubt Holly Heights will need it anyway), but that might change later on with the regains so... his abilities are linked here, as well as his demons (just scroll down a little bit-!)

This week is a special week, because we all know what tonight is, right? It's~ the~ New Year!

[A bright smile. Yup. Definitely no shame. The jingle of bells could even be heard from the slightest of movements. Was he... how far did his reindeer guise go...? The camera didn't show.]

It's probably a bit too late for it, but that means all the southern fried chicken you can eat, and, chawanmushi, and takoyaki, and your friends' other favourite foods. You've got to do all the things you didn't get to do this year before the new one starts - and that includes stuffing your face.

[Hibiki nods to himself - if he seemed to miss his friends back in his world, it didn't seem to show. He still looked positively cheerful. Yup, he missed his friends, but, he still had some in this world to enjoy this time with and make happy!]

So enjoy tonight, everyone! Happy New Year again!

[With a final wave, the screen goes blank]

    Species: Human

    Orientation: Heterosexual

    History: Wiki Link
    Appearance: Link
    Personality:
Inigo is a flirt. No, really, he is a flirt. If you are a woman, there is no doubt in the fact that he will saunter up to you, make a greasy smile, and then proceeds to attempt to woo you. The keyword is attempt, considering his choice of pick-up lines are really lame and well, really made up on the spot. It's no surprise that most people's first impression of Inigo would either be "Oh, it's that dude who got slapped by her." or "...Dude, are your balls okay?" He just wants to score with a girl, is that too much to ask for?

When you get to know him, you might find that he's an easy-going person apart from his horrible attempts at courting the fairer sex. He's smiling more than half the time, being quite a friendly person himself. Naturally, this means that it doesn't take long for him to act as if you've been friends with him for a while within weeks. Hell, he'll even hook you up with a nice girlfriend if you ask him yourself! After all, girls solve all kinds of loner problems, right? That aside though, he really likes seeing the smile on other's faces, and oftentimes tries to get one out of them, despite the known difficulty to pull that off.

Even if he looks like a shameless pervert and a constantly cheerful hangout buddy, Inigo does have some things that he keeps to himself. One of those very things would be his desire to be a dancer just like his mother, Olivia. After all, Ylissean dancers are more likely than not females, and a male being a dancer is generally a rarity within the world often made him practice in secret rather than in the open no thanks to his actually shy attitude. While he doesn't look like it, Inigo is actually shy about opening up regarding his hidden hobbies, as well as his more personal information rather than the ones he gives to the public.

The other thing he locked for himself would be the reason for this cheerful facade existed in the first place. Coming from a ruined future where everybody is that, it's understandable that the others are more averse to smiling than they used to. It's only fair of him to take the mantle of making others smile in order for them to be able to focus on other things besides trying hard to be happy for themselves and others. This selflessness was what kept him going with the act, as he felt that this is one of the other ways of helping that he is confident in.

In fact, this is also the reasoning behind why he pushes himself to the limit in battles. He wanted his friends from the future to see him as someone who can be depended on when they're at the weakest. He has to protect them when they themselves can't, and therefore, he really can't afford to lose to all his adversaries. Naturally, this means that he always plays off his injuries as non-important, even if it is severe. If it means less people worrying over him, the better, especially if it's his own family and lover doing the worrying.

    Abilities:
Swordsmanship: Being a swordsman, Inigo is adept with his sword.Inigo's style is mostly self-taught, and therefore, not really compliant to Ylissean's knight swordsmanship. Other than that, though, Inigo is average considering his all-rounder attributes.

    Other:
Ah, in canon, the children are locked to their mother, so Inigo could have different fathers depending on who married Olivia. Stahl is chosen for this instance so, yeah.

    SAMPLES;
    First Person: His posts here!
    Third Person:
The bustle of a cafe was all that occupied his ears as Inigo calmly downed a single sip of latte from the cup he had been given just a few minutes ago. Well, calmly wasn't the right word as the bitter taste combined with the heat caused him to almost spit it out as he set the cup down quickly in order to nurse his burnt tongue.

"That might not have been the best course of action."

He muttered to himself as he leaned back and waited for the blasted drink to cool down from it's alarming heat level at the moment. Though, knowing him, it didn't take long for him to spot a certain beauty walking past him, prompting him to get up from his unfinished drink, and approaching her with the intent to...

"Hey, lady, do you happen to be free tonight?"

    ---

It took Inigo 5 minutes to recover from the slap, 10 minutes to suppress his urge to not look gloomy on the eve of yet another rejection, and a whole hour to finish the bitter drink, which complimented the taste of defeat pretty well, as he thought to himself. Though, if there's one thing he learned from that encounter, it's that the fact that most of the residents here are getting used to the dull lifestyle of this place.

Not that he could blame them, he'd do the same thing if there's no one to go back to in his home, but right now, his father and mother are probably looking for him alongside his friends, and here he is, just sitting in a cafe without any means to go back home.

"What I'd give for a chance to get back home."

He muttered to himself as he set the cup down, and looked at it wistfully.

    Characters Name: Barnaby Brooks, Jr.
    Age: 25
    Canon: Tiger & Bunny
    Canon Point: Episode 25, pre-epilogue
    Species: human
    Gender: male
Orientation: Bisexual; Barnaby puts very little focus on actual sexuality or relationships throughout the entire series. While he's a flirt and very charismatic for the ladies, he's very reserved and spent more time focused on avenging his parents than he does any sort of romantic endeavors. As he managed to let go of the past, he became quite attached to his partner, Kotetsu, spending much of his free time with his one companion. While they were shown to be more of best friends than of romantic partners, Kotetsu is the closest person Barnaby has had in the series aside from his elder babysitter and his parents' old employer, Mr. Maverick (who was much like an uncle to him). Barnaby isn't particularly romantic, but he does have a certain attachment to Kotetsu. But because of his ease and comfort around women as well, it's not something that can be ruled out too easily.
All in all, he's mostly not particularly focused in romance, so both options are left open.

    History:
    wikipedia; T&B wikia; TVTropes

Barnaby was once a cheerful young boy who lived with his two, nice parents in a happy expensive white-collar neighborhood. He had a pretty sweet life. His parents had money and he had modest birthday parties and liked cute little robots. However, his calm and seemingly-normal life was thrown to the ground and shattered into a million pieces when a (supposed) jerkass named Jake Martinez from the Ouroboros organization decided to murder them in a ridiculous fire, leaving the poor child orphaned. All he managed to remember about the night was the symbol on the man's hand and the silhouette of aforementioned jerkass in the dark, flaming building.

So, of course, Barnaby had a new driving force, and that was to find out who murdered his parents and answer the #1 question, "Why?" Barnaby began collecting articles and news clippings of anything revolving around the murder or the incident, trying to understand the symbol he saw. Sometime afterward, he discovered his abilities, which made him a NEXT. Capable of increasing his strength and speed by 100 times for five minutes, Barnaby soon had the skill to access a whole new tier of investigations.

Being a NEXT allowed him to attend the Hero Academy of Sternbild, where he was a popular and gifted student. He managed to graduate with high marks and soon became a Hero himself, becoming the first hero to give his name to the public. In public, Barnaby said (and still says) this is because he disagrees with the 'old-fashioned' style of heroics, with the masks and hiding identities; but--recently considered secretly--Barnaby also used this as a bit of a sign to the jerkwads who killed his parents, as if to say "hey look I'm coming after you 8|".

Intimidating secret plans aside, Barnaby started his Hero duties by throwing himself into the open and saving our resident favorite old fart of a hero, Wild Tiger. Wild Tiger was being his typical Wild Tiger self, which included failing in his usual fail style, and he managed to get himself dropped from the sky, to which Barnaby graciously hopped forth and caught him, rescuing him from imminent spiky doom. Then, revealing his face--what a good-looking face--he managed to become an instant fangirl favorite. To make matters worse, he was soon assigned to that lame old fart as a partner. Or rather, the lame old fart was assigned to him, because Barnaby's character and charisma were just better for a television audience.

Thus sparked the beginning of a rather disgusting half-friendship of Barnaby Brooks Jr. and the not-so-Wild Tiger, Kotetsu T. Kaburagi. Kotetsu took the liberty of giving Barnaby the much-hated nickname of "Bunny-chan", often mocking or scowling at him for trying to be so perfect in front of a camera. However, Kotetsu also became the first person to see Barnaby lose his cool. The two often couldn't cooperate--still can't all that often, actually--but they both managed on a few occasions, like when they had to get rid of a bomb and couldn't diffuse it (some days, you just can't get rid of them) or when their cooperation made their suits deliver an extra special blow in 'Good Luck mode'. Kotetsu ended up becoming one of the first to learn about why Barnaby was so angry about his parents, and was also there when he learned about the symbol.

    Appearance:
Barnaby is known for his celebrity looks. Tall with a slim yet well-built physique, Barnaby has clear skin and a smile which cues fangirl squeals. He sports a Farrah Fawcett-esque hairstyle consisting of bangs which reach his eyebrows, and longer, flowing locks which curl forward at his ears and flip out in the back. His eyes are of pale emerald, which hide behind frameless hexagonal glasses. He has a dreamy, pristine-white smile which is quite camera-worthy.

However, Barnaby's got some of the pissiest, most miserable facial expressions. He usually sports a scowl or a frown, or sometimes stupid obliviousness. More often than not, his eyes are narrowed, either in irritation or deep concentration when he works. Barnaby seldom smiles for people unless it's for publicity or a fan. His 'normal self' outside of the public eye is actually quite cranky. Posture-wise, he holds himself upright. Slouching is unsightly, and as a hero, he needs to always appear in top form. He has very sharp movements, a result of quick reflexes and hero training, and is often very tense due to stress.

    Personality:
From the start, Barnaby Brooks Jr. looks like a young woman's dream: tall, good looks, kind smile, charming personality. And in many ways, Barnaby fits that mold almost perfectly. He's very friendly and courteous when it comes to dealing with the public and knowing what he should do. He knows how to handle being in the spotlight with a modest aura, and tends to accept praise and cheers with a smile and a polite thank you. He has no problem signing autographs and ruffling the hair of small children. When it comes to the Hero TV staff and 'acting normally', he puts on his most well-behaved, charismatic smile and does his best to appear cheerful. Part of the job is making the public love you, after all.

But not all is just fun and games in the life of Barnaby, celebrity hero. Barnaby is a hero, and that means helping others and working with people. He takes this job seriously enough to know that first and foremost, a hero has to protect the people. Be it another hero or a young child, Barnaby will easily put himself in harm's way to save another--within reason, of course. After all, his debut on the hero scene was saving his soon-to-be partner, Wild Tiger (or Kotetsu), and going after the troublesome culprit himself. He often thinks about strategies or ways to catch the villain in question with minimal damage to their surroundings, tending to take his job rather seriously when it comes to gathering points for the television program.

Unfortunately, part of Barnaby's hero act is also just for show. Part of the Hero TV system they work with offers points for citizens rescued and criminals captured. Early on, Kotetsu catches that Barnaby cares about the points, and he does, mostly because they give more popularity and incentive to the job. And although Barnaby thinks that most of the hero business is just an occupation, he's retired his distant, negative attitude and has finally come to accept the comraderie of the other heroes. He never cared for getting close to them, but after months of working with them and after first finding the 'murderer' of his parents, he finally opened up and they warmed up to him. He's only particularly close to one, his partner, Kotetsu, previously known as an 'Old Man', but he's quite nice to the others when he wants to be. He still seems to make sport of bothering Kotetsu to keep himself entertained, smirking after calling him an 'Old Man' and watching him get riled up after it, but it's done in good fun nowadays. The two have an odd partnership.

Frustration is usually what peels away his calm exterior and truly shows his emotions, the prime example being the one thing that frustrates Barnaby the most: his parents' death. Barnaby's parents were murdered before his eyes, his only memory of the culprit being this mark of the Ouroboros on the man's skin. Because of this, any time the symbol is mentioned or catches Barnaby's eye, he's quickly riled up. He becomes more violent towards the criminal who bears the tattoo, and his judgment takes a turn for the reckless. A criminal has been killed because Barnaby couldn't control his temper and let his guard down.

That temper of his is quite nasty. It came into play when he attacked a criminal with the Ouroboros tattoo, which led to said criminal's untimely death; he assumed Kotetsu couldn't be trusted when going up against Jake from Ouroboros, who had challenged all of the heroes in one-on-one fights. Hell, when brainwashed and thinking Kotetsu was a murderer, he launched out at Kotetsu, to kill instead of capture. He tries harder to control this, but it's only worked a bit more in recent months with his partner there to remind him to keep his cool.

He's also stubborn as hell and quite stand-offish, which may make or break him in the near future. He's not prone to listening to others when he's already got his mind set on something, and he tends to keep his distance from those who he doesn't trust or gets very testy with them if they try to pry too much. Not only that but this boy doesn't feel the ~need~ for medical treatment unless he's bleeding all over the place. Word of God says that, even after a very ridiculously violent battle in the near future, Barnaby just went home to sleep off bruises and whatnot instead of, you know, getting it treated. (All in all, Barnaby's got very moronic issues sometimes where a simple smack to the head could probably demonstrate all of your frustrations with some of the things he does.)

He has a difficult time connecting with people on an emotional basis a majority of the time. When the hero facade falls, one's left with a quiet, awkward, overly-polite Barnaby who acts on his own interests and what personally drives him. Part of his hero business was just to find out the murderer of his parents and to understand and stop those who bear the symbol, but outside of hero functions and gatherings, he's quite odd when around others. He doesn't spend time for fun social interactions, and he doesn't celebrate his birthday--in fact, he becomes angered when Kotetsu tries to plan a birthday surprise for him. He doesn't have hobbies, save for looking up clues, and while he's gotten better at having conversations with others, he's still all sorts of awkward and blunt. The only few individuals he's been able to connect with on a more emotional level, outside of Kotetsu, are his old maid and sitter, Samantha Taylor, and his surrogate father and head of HeroTV, Albert Maverick. Samantha had been around since Barnaby was little, and he often refers to her as an 'aunt'. When his parents were killed, she became his only true 'family' left, and he treasures her dearly. She's very sweet, and he tends to call her when he just needs a motherly, familiar face to speak to. She also bakes him a crumble cake for his birthday each year. Maverick too had been part of Barnaby's life before his parents died; when he was in the orphanage, he spent lots of time with Maverick, treating this man like a father figure. Maverick was one of the few people Barnaby truly confided in, to the point where Barnaby found himself in the older man's office whenever he's having a bad day and just needs advice; but after these two left his life, he was left with only his partner.

Kotetsu, of all the heroes, is Barnaby's idol, although he's only admitted this once. As the two grew together in their working partnership, Barnaby had come to rely on the older hero as a person with many years of experience and a very caring attitude. While he still grows annoyed when Kotetsu meddles too much, he's very grateful to have someone around who still checks up on him and allows him to confide in him. Barnaby's grown close to the other heroes as well, enough to hold conversations and go on outings with, but none will ever be as close to him as Kotetsu is.

He's finally worked out the mystery of his parents death, which has left him in an odd place mentally. While the Ouroboros symbol and everything still attached brings him pain and immediately points him to anger, he feels a sense of conclusion with it. Conclusion and loss all in one, actually: he's not sure where to take his life from here. Having become a hero just to find who murdered his parents, his sense of purpose is gone and his life is left open for him to decide. The decision doesn't come easily, as the only close person he has left is his partner who has a life to live of his own. Barnaby's still haunted by the memories of his past, but he's still wishing to move forward.
