IC INFORMATION
Characters Name: Western order, por favor.
Age: In years, if possible.
Canon: Links to you canon's Wikipedia entry or it's own wiki or at least something to tell us what he hot haps are.
Canon Point: Exact page numbers and panels aren't necessary, but being specific is good.
Species: Note that any species other than human will become human. Animals, aliens, even human like beings. You're going to become homo sapiens like the rest of us.
Gender: Both physical and mental.
Orientation: FILL THIS OUT IF YOU HAVE A CHARACTER THAT IS OVER 18, NO BUTS. Here at Holly Heights, we don't discriminate against anyone's orientations. That being said, if your character is gay, we aren't going to make them take a wife when housing plans are given. Gay marriage is completely legal. Please give us a short and simple reason you think they are gay/straight/bi/etc if they don't have an explicitly state sexuality. Please keep it short, though. We do know it's tempting to tl;dr about things like this. Long story short, the real question is Would your character be more comfortable with a wife, husband, or either?, so that we know what houses to place them in.
History: Links will suffice, but please write it out if the links are insufficient.
Appearance: A picture will be sufficient, but we'd never turn down a written explanation.
Personality: This should be the biggest part of the application unless your history is written out. There should at least be 3 paragraphs OR 300+ words. No links. Using old app sections for this AS LONG AS THEY ARE YOUR OWN is reasonable.
Abilites: Please note that in this domestic paradise, powers will be taken. Will you get them back? If you behave, perhaps. Please list any special powers your character has and any natural talents that they possess. This can range from flying to having nice handwriting.

Hokuto Umeda is the kind of man that will tell you how it is, whether or not you actually want to hear it. He won't hesitate to tell you that he feels you've done something stupid, so if you're the kind of person that prefers brutal honesty he's your man. Beyond that flat honesty, he's a guy that has a rather caustic sense of humour. It's not that he doesn't know how to have fun (believe me, he's well aware of how to let loose when the mood or opportunity strikes). He tends to be a brooder at times, often dwelling on the past when something comes up that strikes a chord. While initially he comes off as being
an assholegrumpy and slightly abrasive, he can actually be a nice guy. He'll give advice when it's asked of him and sometimes whenever it suits his purpose. He is openly gay and has zero modesty, so he's got no problem flirting with any pretty young man that passes his way or taking off his clothes if he thinks it will help someone out in some way.Though he is a pretty open person, he would rather people not be too clingy with him. Things like that usually only serve to fuel his temper, which can be easily set off. He won't even think twice about smacking someone on the back of the head if they've managed to push his buttons that much and sometimes he'll even go so far as to toss someone out of a window. Despite the fact that he seems like he needs an attitude adjustment, he does take his job very seriously. So while he may grumble about helping you out, in the end he will do a fantastic job. He takes a long time to open up to people, but if they try hard enough they'll end up with a decent friend. Or at least someone that's capable of supporting them enough to tell them when they're doing something stupid.
He's not an active man or a morning person, so he can honestly be seen more often kicking back with a beer or some good sake and a pack of cigarettes. He's stubborn at times and really only likes to do what he likes to do, going so far as to ditch his family when he's got an obligation to them. While he's a jerk a majority of the time, he does sometimes have a more playful side to him. He likes to pick on people when he sees a weakness, more so when they're overtly homophobic or obnoxious, all the while thinking what a great person he is. Did I mention the ego? Well, he's got one of those too, even referring to himself as 'Hokuto-Sama' at times. All in all, he's really not too bad of a guy, he's just flawed like any other human being. :|
Abilites:
No magical abilities unless you count extreme levels of cranky as magical. Actual strengths being a grudging sense of duty when it comes to his job. While he does bitch quite a bit about anything and everything when it comes to work, he does really do a damn good job.
Other: He likes beer and sake and video games and stuff and things. YES.

First Person:
[There is quite the long pause after the video feed clicks on, the less than happy man staring rather intensely out at anyone that might be watching. He's got the remainder of a cigarette at his lips, the man taking a long drag before exhaling and clearing his throat.]
Well, this is just peachy. Stuck, for lack of a better term, I suppose...
At least I've got plenty of cigarettes here and the place is decent enough, I suppose. [He pauses, letting a wry smile pass over his lips before speaking again, more to himself than anything.]
I think I'd even be okay if this was someone's idea of a really bad joke.
I guess I could look around a little. Treat all of this crap like it's a mini-vacation or something...
Maybe even a fresh start? [There's a pause as he thinks on it, letting out something of a snort before he mumbles to himself again.]
...I think I would have preferred making my own decisions, though.
[But then given the situation, who wouldn't? A new house was all well and good, but having someone else picked out for you to live with, that was something else entirely. Of course, it was the same as being born into his family, given the choice he definitely would have chosen something different. After a rather long pause he finally addresses the screen as if he's actually talking to someone else, rather than simply being terribly introspective.]

Third Person:
The first day and a half of his adventure had been wasted by lounging around in his new bedroom and smoking. Though, perhaps the more proper term for it would be sulking, but he wasn't really in the mood to correct or question his thought process. The problem at hand wasn't that he was particularly bored or in need of socialization, it was the fact that he was out of damn cigarettes. It was finally after an hour of staring into the empty pack that he tossed it to the side, letting out a heavy sigh as he brought his hand back through his hair.
He began to make a list in his head, the pros and cons of venturing out into the house in search of something that may or may not even be in the cupboards, wondering the same of the town itself. Flat look on his face he continued, expression becoming more and more disgruntled as more things came to mind; coffee, for one. Coffee and food, he'd never been much of a breakfast person but a traditional breakfast even managed to sound good to him at the moment. He let out a snort as he finally brought himself to his feet, hand coming up to push his glasses back up onto his nose.
"...don't be stupid, a place like this has got to have a coffee pot!" He finally muttered to himself, stepping toward the door and trying to decide if he would regret his decision. What was he going to find out there in the rest of the town? Or even lurking in his own house? Another sigh as he finally undid the lock and began to turn the doorknob, he may as well find out sooner than later.
