CANON UPDATING
CANON UPDATING Canon updating will be simple. Out of game, all that has to be done is replying to this post with your character in the subject line and filling out a short form. Only three little things to do. In game, your character will fall asleep as their old self and wake up as their new selves. They'll remember all that happened in their past as if it was a memory they had forgotten. It's unexplained why it was repressed, but they remember now and that's the big thing. Here is the form to fill out for canon updating: AGE UPDATING If your seventeen year old turns eighteen, they have to be moved to an adult slot! Please just let us know in a comment and we will re-randomize him into a house with a spouse. |
QUISTIS TREPE
New Canon Point: Epilogue, during the party.
Differences: The major differences are that Quistis will have met Laguna, Kiros, and Ward (and is now aware that Laguna is president of Esthar and also alive), will have some inkling that Laguna is Squall's father, has gone through Lunatic Pandora and helped to free Ellone, fought Seifer, then gone through Time Compression. Following Time Compression, she'll have gone through a miserable crappy final dungeon (no, really) which is in the future where Ultimecia is reigning.
Eventually after multiple fights they manage to defeat her and go through Time Compression again. Unfortunately, their plan fails and Ultimecia does not die. She is, however, stuck in a time loop where she will be defeated by them and go to the past and then possess their Matron, Edea. It's a decent compromise, but kind of depressing!
Because FF8 is told through the eyes of the main character, it's uncertain what she was doing during this second bout of Time Compression beyond wandering as he was and trying to find her way home. The end is unknown beyond the eventual party that occurs (and will eventually be updated to, given time).
She'll be coming from during the HEY WE'RE STILL ALIVE!! party. Where she shows that her humor still remains intact and is shown a little more freely. Again, Quistis demonstrates that she has changed and managed to let go of more and more of what has been eating her alive. More importantly, she's able to take charge with confidence and falls back into her role as the older sister to all of them. This will affect her relationship mostly with those within her cast, though she is also more likely to dabble in teaching now.
