IC INFORMATION
Characters Name: Omi Tsukiyono
Age: 17
Canon Point: last episode of Kapitel when the tower collapses.
Species: human
Gender: cis male
Orientation: attracted to opposite anatomy. He had a canon love interest of this category in Ouka.

History:
Omi's real name is Mamoru Takatori, and he is one branch in a very messed-up family tree. At the trunk is a love triangle between two brothers over one woman. The woman, Kikuno, seems to love Shuuichi but ends up marrying the older brother, Reiji. After having two sons with Reiji, she flits off and tangoes with Shuuichi and nine months later comes little Mamoru into the world.

Omi believes Reiji is his father at the point in canon I'm taking him from; Reiji, however, knew the truth for many years and despised Mamoru as a constant reminder of his wife's unfaithfulness. So when Mamoru was kidnapped at the age of 11, Reiji's revenge was to refuse to pay the ransom.

Understandably, this didn't fly over too well for mother or son either one. Kikuno committed suicide. Mamoru, filled with feelings of betrayal and terror as the kidnappers closed in to kill him, squirmed past them and ran out of the room screaming and crying. Omi's real father, Shuuichi, believed the boy to be Reiji's and, in a righteous fury over Kikuno's suicide from the whole debacle, took in Mamoru to begin training him to be his personal assassin.

There's a time gap of between three and four years that spans from Omi's abduction at age 11 to his meeting the three others that will form his team. It is unclear at exactly what age he began training, but the final exercise was to kill the pet dog Shuuichi (now under the alias of "Persia") had given him.

When the series opens, Omi has no memory of anything that happened to him before Weiss. He doesn't remember being kidnapped, who his family is, or even his real name. He does later, however, regain awareness of his true identity, along with memories of both the kidnapping and some pieces of his early childhood.

A character named Schuldig throws Omi into an emotional upheaval by pointing out his hypocrisy in thinking of himself as a good person even though he's just as much a killer as the monsters he hunts down. He falls in love with Ouka, a girl that turns out to be his cousin (but is believed to be his half-sister). Schuldig and Farfarello accidentally kill her trying to shoot him, an act for which Omi has never forgiven them. After an identity crisis that Aya helps to resolve, he disowns his Takatori birth name (significant because this is the first time he actively chooses to dissociate himself with the family), personally murders one of his "brothers," and through Weiss is an accessory to the murder of his "father" Reiji. With Persia having died the same night as Reiji and Ouka already dead, Omi finds himself once again completely alone in terms of blood-related family after only a short time of knowing that he had it in Persia and Ouka.

The first half of the series revolves around exposing the exploits of the Takatori family and Omi's connection to them. In the second half of the series, Weiss reunite to try to stop a group calling themselves Eszett, who have an interest in the sister of another Weiss member, Aya. The final battle takes place in a building off the coast, last seen crumbling into the sea with all of Weiss in it. This is Omi's last memory before arriving in-game.

Appearance:
Omi is short and small-framed, although what mass he does have is sturdy and muscular. He has a round face, blond hair and large blue eyes. His smaller size and often childlike personality are known to give him the appearance of seeming several years younger than he actually is. He seems to have an affinity for shorts and summery clothing and is honestly not that good at fashion judgment. He wears a small silver hoop earring in his left lobe. No tattoos, but his body is dotted with marks and scars from years of assassin work, though his strategy of sniping from long range with projectiles has spared him overall.
