(Anonymous) 2013-02-03 02:57 am (UTC)(link)Just a few quick things, re: the recent guide on how the network works. Many people had assumed that, instead of the character's fullname, it would be an ID number of sorts instead, which could then be matched in their phone's 'contact' list to a name and house number. This is because, otherwise, it completely nullifies the idea of a character introducing themselves? I know lots, lot of threads have characters telling their names to one another, and having to retcon that looks a little silly. In addition, it's sort-of a basic, first thread interaction to have?
TL;DR, perhaps nix the 'name' part in network posts? But if not, thank you for taking the time to read this anyway. :)

Does this necessarily apply to all canons with their spin offs. For example, if someone applies from Soul Eater, can they also play a character from Soul Eater Not (other examples: if someone plays a character from Star Trek, could they play from Star Trek: TNG; if someone plays from Touhou: Mountain of Faith, could they play another character from Touhou: Scarlet Weather Rhapsody; if someone plays from Buffy, could they play from Angel)? The installments of the aforementioned canons in these cases are all connected in some way or another (some much more than others, some hardly so). Some canons can have the possibility of characters interacting, have a character only hear of the other, or simply not have the character interact with another at all. The amount of potential interaction would depend on the character themself; for example, a main character like Buffy does have the likelihood of interacting with those in the Angel cast more than any side character from Buffy.
As you can see, character hogging across such canons with a wide rage of installments and characters and worry for self-interaction does not need to be an issue with these kinds of characters. So basically, if a case can be made to show that two characters from the same umbrella canon are not likely to interact, let alone hardly know of each other, and/or simply would not interact at all, would it be possible to app that character?
It would be helpful to unscreen this question and any answer you may give for others who I know would be interested. Or, I'd ask permission to c/p the answer you give to those who are interested. Thanks!

I know school is about to end for the summer but, in the future/next school year something like this could be helpful I think.
