Re: Arakita Yasutomo | Yowamushi Pedal | not reserved 2/2

IC INFORMATION;
Characters Name: Arakita Yasutomo
Age: 18
Canon: Yowamushi Pedal
Canon Point: Day 3 of InterHigh
Species: Human
Gender: cis male
Orientation: Orientation is never expressly provided in canon, but I believe Arakita would be pansexual, not really caring about the gender of his partner. He'd rather be with someone he respects and genuinely cares about.

History: Learn about this poor boy's past here!
Appearance: Hakone Academy cycling jersey | Hakone Academy uniform

Personality: From the outside, Arakita seems to be a foul-mouthed, rude and aggressive teenager that doesn’t care what anyone thinks. That’s not too far off unless you get to know the punk better. Arakita tends to be aggressive towards those he doesn’t like, and before he had a “purpose” (cycling), he just didn’t care about anything. During his first year before he joined Hakone’s cycling team, he first meets Fukutomi by picking a fight, calling him “stone face”, kicking over his bike and pouring out his pocari. After losing a race to Fukutomi (moped vs. road racer), his personality shifts slightly because he once again has found a purpose since his elbow injury that caused him to stop playing baseball in middle school.
Once he joined the team, the rudeness, recklessness and disregard for social graces remained mostly the same. Greeting any of his teammates, especially when he first joined the team, was always accompanied with rude expletives and nicknames. If he doesn’t respect someone, he’s straightforward and will make that clear through the similar methods, albeit more aggressively. During practice or racing, Arakita will constantly complain about anything and everything. However, Hakone is known for being the country’s top cycling team, which means he had to fight and work hard to get onto the team. Fukutomi notices that Arakita would work harder than anyone else in order to catch up during his first year, and he put everything into his riding. His style of riding reflects a lot about Arakita; it’s reckless, fast, wild and aggressive.
But Arakita falls under the trope of having a hidden heart of gold despite his tough exterior. Despite being blunt towards others, he’s supportive towards his other teammates and those he respects. He’ll help the team by pulling others no matter what, follow orders that he’s given and support his teammates (even if it’s through yelling) to not quit the team. Even if he complains about it, he finds a way to be there for others he cares about. Even though he seems tough, he actually has low self-esteem, which is apparent before he meets Fukutomi. He had no friends, didn't care about his future or what happened to him down the road. Cycling gave him purpose again to play as a supportive role in the team, such as pulling for others and being the ace’s assistant. Arakita could be considered humble. Even though he’s on the best team in the country, and has an important role on the team, he doesn’t let it get to his head. He’ll be aggressive while racing others, but he never boasts about his position. Arakita’s determination, even if it comes off as abrasive, is one of his strongest traits. When he finds a goal or purpose, there’s nothing stopping him from achieving it.
Even with all the challenges he's faced in his past, he’s learned from it and has grown, and is still growing. He’s faced many obstacles, but through his determination and dedication to his team, he’s become a force to be reckoned with in the cycling world. He may still be an abrasive, crass teenager, but through cycling, he gained things he never thought he could have: purpose and friends.

Abilities: Arakita can ride at dangerous angles, even leaning over far enough to brush against the guardrail that runs along the road and his pedals hitting against the ground. He may just seem to be disregarding his safety, but this riding style is a testament to his skill.
Other:

only bepsi. don't ever bring that cole shit around this guy. also, he secretly loves cats.

SAMPLES;
First Person:
What the fuck!?
[The camera feed displays a disgruntled looking teenager with his lips curled back and teeth bared, almost like a wild, deranged dog. His black hair is dishevled, and he looks rather frantic.]

Look, I don’t give a shit about this stupid house! Where the hell am I?! Where the fuck is everyone else, haah?!?

[The teenager’s voice is getting progressively louder and more aggressive with each sentence. It’s obvious that he just arrived and has no idea what’s going on. Maybe the webcam would help him find his teammates, if they were around, or someone who knew what was going on.]

Fuku-chan!? Shinkai!? Tch- I’d even take Toudou at this point. Where the hell is everyone!?

Third Person:
The sun warmed his face, and Arakita slowly started to wake up. How the hell did he fall asleep outside? The last thing he remembered was InterHigh. There’s no way he passed out, right? He remembered falling behind, and there was this look of horror on Shinkai’s face. Maybe he really did pass out…

But that didn’t explain why the hell he was sunbathing out on a damn lawn.

Arakita shot up in the chair, blinking hard to make sure this wasn’t some sort of weird fever dream. This wasn’t a medical tent at all. He was in front of some strange house, and in his hand was a set of keys he doesn’t remember happening. Where the hell was his bike? Where the hell was his team? With his brows furrowed, Arakita gripped the keys firmly and headed towards the house. His clenched fist clashed against the door, pounding on it to get someone’s attention.

“Open the fuck up-!”

An envelop fell to the ground by his cleats, and he glanced down, squinting down at the name on the front. It was his name.

“What the fuck… What the shit is going on around here...”

OTHER;
Housing Request?: Either with Manami Sangaku or Izumida Touichirou! I’d prefer if he could stay with at least one of his teammates if they're okay with that!
Did you read the rules and FAQ?: Y!
